Not even the awesome Chace Crawford could save this mess. 1.5/10

This is the real, OFFICIAL forum we moved to. No trolls, no drama, plenty of horror discussions.

Allow me to quote the review of the film that I wrote on TV Tropes (I also created that site's page for the film, BTW):
Quote:

This movie, plain and simply, sucked. Those looking for a good religious horror movie should stick with the '70s classics: The Exorcist, The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, et cetera. It doesn't even follow through on its feeble attempts to subvert the genre's conventions; a subplot involving the possibility that Molly might be insane is unceremoniously dropped without fanfare halfway through, and the "shocking" twist ending is just that: a shocking swerve with no setup that rings completely hollow. The father is a complete fucking idiot, and most of the other characters aren't much better. The actors (most of them cast more for their CW appeal than their talent) do nothing to elevate the shallow material. The filmmakers showed a total ineptitude at building tension, instead relying on cheap jump scares throughout, which stop being scary after about the tenth time they try it (which is about thirty minutes in -- seriously, there are that many of them).

The only good thing I have to say about this film is that I streamed it for free on Netflix, so the only thing I wasted was ninety minutes of my time.

Seriously. This was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. 1 out of 5, and the only reason I'm not scoring it lower is because you have to put some effort in to actually finish a movie. (I said the exact same thing about Sweet Insanity, one of the only other movies I've seen that rivals this one in suckitude.)
