Well, this forum isn't dead. We have more members than "that site" and DTD. The new one who I mentioned last week joined and made about three posts. This forum is doing fine.

This is the real, OFFICIAL forum we moved to. No trolls, no drama, plenty of horror discussions.

Don't mean to be a nag, but it's happening frequently again.

Ehh, we SORT Of are, but mainly in the Horror sections, which is NOT good at all since that's the main purpose of this entire site. The General Talk section and Games section = Livelier than ever. While that's fine, EVERYONE (myself included) needs to post more often elsewhere.

Agreed. It's half my fault since I started a new trend though.

Blasphemy. There is no such thing as a TRUE horror fan. People are accustomed to different tastes, there is no such thing as GOOD taste in movies, everyone has a varying opinion. If there are members who only care for Scream and IKWYDLS that's fine, seriously it's not like there's a requirement to have seen and loved a lot of horror films to join.

That's the sort of attitude that would probably drive a lot of people away, cmon guys! Remember a lot of people are coming from boards directing to one franchise as well.

Trying to do my part to keep things active, but I realize a lot of folks may only have interest in two, maybe three horror series. It can be hard to "come out of your shell" when you are new to a forum. Just keep being very welcoming as you were with me, and people will come around and post more.

and hopefully watch more movies! i mean, i get it, you have your faves... everybody does. but i know from other forums that some won't give any other movies a chance and basically shoot them down. broaden your horror horizon! horror is not just saw and paranormal activity :P

While there may not be such a thing as a 'true' horror fan, seeing alot of people only posting in kid-sister-friendly mainstream pop-culture horror films may drive off some people. I love Scream, IKWYDLS and some of the other glossier entries in the Horror genre as much as the next guy but it's always a good thing to have a broad taste when it comes to Horror. It adds more of a variety, keeps things interesting and offers more possibilities for discussion. It's better to talk about five HUNDRED films as opposed to just twenty. Like Sam said, there's a lot more to the horror genre than just the things that have gotten a ton of publicity. ;)
