This is starting now. I can't put it off any longer without canceling it (...again). If you have anything to finish up, do so immediately. If you wish to submit a character, do so immediately. The thread goes up in the RPG section on Friday, although I've already pointed out that sign-ups will remain open in the faint hope of getting more characters at some point. Hopefully soon... Since seven characters won't get me past the second update. |

NAME: Viper AGE: 32 NATIONALITY: Viper's a drifter. She doesn't really have a home; she's gone from place to place since she was a teen, exhausting the opportunities in one before moving onto another. Her birth state, however, is California. Don't ask her where. She doesn't remember. Posted Image PERSONALITY: Viper's spent who whole life relying on two very simple things: looks and brains. If she was missing one or the other, she'd already be dead. Viper knows she isn't the strongest person alive (though she can hold her own in a fight and knows how to use a gun) She quickly determined she needed a different advantage, one that no one could take away from her: intelligence. She needed to outsmart her opponents, not outfight them. Viper uses a variety of different tactics to get what she wants: her favorite being to seduce her unsuspecting victims, sleep with them, then kill them in their sleep and take their belongings. This method has proved especially potent in a zombie apocalypse. However, she is not above thievery and knows how to pick locks, hotwire cars, pick someone's pocket, and do all sorts of tasks to get her the advantage she needs. Viper's ruthless in her goal of self-preservation. Viper looks out for herself, period. She's tried helping others. It didn't end well. In fact, it nearly killed her. No more of that. She doesn't have the time or desire. She finds it easier to focus on herself as well. It's easier to quickly change a plan gone wrong when it's just you rather than a group of people, and that's something Viper does constantly. Just because she has a plan doesn't mean it goes off well; in fact, all her plans have required last minute changes to succeed. However, Viper's a quick thinker and used to this. It's second nature to her. Another talent of hers is hiding emotions. From Viper's experiences, emotions lead to one place and one place only: death. They get the best of you and cloud your judgment, not to mention they give you away to others. It's taken her years, but she finally has the art of hiding emotions down. This should not be mistaken with lacking them. Viper is full of emotions: both false and real. The key to hiding one's emotions is to replace them with one that isn't there. She smiles when she's sad, sobbing when she's angry, calm when she's heartbroken, seductive when she's drained. Viper can fake almost any emotion in a heartbeat. When she's alone, she takes the mask off. She lets herself cry, rage, and emote. She'd lose her mind if she didn't. As for her way of life, Viper knows what she does is wrong. She just doesn't care. She used to. Viper used to regret the awful things she did, but now, to her, it's always been survival of the fittest. Everything Viper has, she's earned in some way. Is it honest? Most likely not. Did she still work for it? Definitely. Viper refuses to take gifts, at all. If she didn't earn it, she doesn't want it. It's cost her some valuable items in the past, but she's never regretted that once in her life. HISTORY: Viper likes to keep the past in the past. She'll never bring it up. She doesn't like to feel weak, and she definitely doesn't want to tip her victims off. Often times, when asked about her past she plays the vulnerable card. She acts like it hurts her to think of it, and it does, but hardly to the extent she shows. Viper ran away from home at 14. She spent the rest of her life drifting from place to place. Viper can't even remember where home is anymore. It's a distant memory. What she does remember is her father. Her mother died giving birth, and he's blamed it on Viper ever since. He hates her; she hates him, but he beat her. She was a defenseless kid trapped in an abusive home with nowhere to go. Everyone saw the bruises on her, but they didn't say anything. Who wants to get involved with something as horrid as child abuse? So she gave up on people and left. Viper's first 2 years away from home were downright miserable. She had no goals and no idea how to fend for herself. She scavenged for food, often in dumpsters. She slept in alleyways. She even had a few near death experiences. Most of the time, her quick feet led her to safety. She knew how to run, climb, and hide. A few times she's needed help though. They all blend together for Viper, except for one: a homeless man, all over her. It was her first few months away from home, and it's what made Viper realize she could never let this happen to her again. She got lucky, some cops found him. They shot him and a frenzied, terrified Viper ran as fast as she could. They never found her, but she's never been able to forget that day. From that day forward, Viper's been more of a loner. She's ran in gangs once in awhile, leaving when an opportunity seemed to run dry or even double-crossing them. She didn't trust people. She got what she needed and then she got out. Her alias would change. Her name would change. Her style and game remained the same. As she got older, Vesper began to grow more confident and take larger risks. She began using her looks to help as well. She tried being a prostitute once. The pay wasn't good enough. However, she never crossed her line yet: Viper has never killed someone herself. She's lead to deaths, but the blood was never on her hands. Then she turned 18. Viper was staying in cheap motels now, though she didn't look it. Vesper always took care of her looks: they got her by. She also had learned that she could usually listen around for rumors. Find a potential client, steal something for them, get paid. Simple stuff. It was risky, of course. Viper nearly got killed more than a few times. She'd never been asked to kill someone before though. When she finally got the offer, that's when she realized she was in over her head. It was too late though, and Viper agreed. Better some stranger than her, right? So she followed the stranger, a young woman with golden blond hair who was clearly from some wealth. When the time came, Viper dragged the woman into an alleyway, covered her mouth, and slit her throat open. Viper took the woman's purse and the amulet of a sun and moon on her neck. Then she ran. She couldn't sleep for almost a week, and when she did, she always saw the woman's face in her dreams. She still does sometimes. Viper's become more at ease with who she is. She's a cold-blooded assassin and thief who does what needs to be done for her own survival. She doesn't live a comfortable life. It's miserable, but she doesn't see any other way to get by. ACQUIRED SKILLS: Viper's skills range far and wide. She can treat minor (NOT major) wounds. She can pick locks. She can hotwire cars. She can think fast. She knows how to kill someone and what parts of the body are the weakest. She knows how to lie. She knows how to act like someone she isn't, and so much more. As far as weapons go, Viper likes knives best. They're small, discreet. and easy to hide. She's more than comfortable with guns too though. However, all of Viper's skills involve deceit and self preservation. If she doesn't need to know it, she doesn't care to know it. She probably doesn't have a single skill that's good for honest work. RELATIONSHIPS: Viper's a loner. She looks out for herself and avoids relationships as much as possible. Is she interested in guys & girls? All the time. She just doesn't act on them. Maybe a hook up if it's been awhile. Nothing long-term. The one time she tried otherwise is, in her opinion, the biggest mistake of her life. She doesn't really like to talk about it. Viper was going by her birth name (for the first time in years), Olivia Witt. It didn't mean anything to her now though. It was just another alias now. She was with some gang, though she doesn't remember which one. All the members were the same to her, except for Damian. He always kept his distance around her. It was like he had up a wall of some sort with her. Viper loved a challenge, so she tried to draw his guard down. She was used to tricking people with ease. The more he resisted, the more she felt drawn to him. It didn't make sense to her. She could have anyone she wanted, but the one person she couldn't is who she desired. Finally, the two got an assignment together. They needed to just break into a museum, steal a valuable old artifact (Viper thinks it was a necklace?), and return it. Simple. Well, during the heist the two finally spoke. Damian knew she'd backstab the gang. She knew he had no love for them. He knew she wasn't as tough as she acted. She knew he wanted her. The two took the necklace and left. No stop to return it. They sold it at a pawnshop in South Dakota for some money. They took a bus across the country to Florida. The two wanted a fresh start. They didn't want to end their crime sprees, they just wanted to be free of prior commitments. They found a cheap motel, and things started well. It was nice to not be alone. Then hard times fell on them. They started to slip up and leave trails. They relocated God knows how many times. Pissed off some local crime grans. Both were on the verge of hopelessness. They didn't see what else they could do. Finally, one night, while Viper was off acquiring some money from stores, Damian killed himself while taking a bath back at their motel. She walked back in to see his dead body, wrists slit open and blood seeping into the bathwater. It's the one memory which haunts her most. She couldn't even give him a burial. She didn't have the time or money. She dug through his pockets to find an emerald ring. She put it on and left. She's never taken it off since. Not even when she sleeps. It stays on unless someone cuts off her finger. She'd die first. COLOUR: Indigo STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES: Viper's smart, she's sexy (and knows how to use her sex appeal), she's tough. She's talented in the arts of deception. She knows how to turn bad situations around; she never gives up. Not after Damian. However. she's got severe trust issues. She doesn't like getting close to people. She hates when people feel bad for her; she takes it as them looking at her as weak. She suffers nightmares almost every night: whether it's a murder she's commuted, her father, her rape, her boyfriend's suicide, or something else. Viper is also a fast runner. She knows where and how to hide. She's talented with blending into shadows. She's a fantastic swimmer. She has an incredibly low tolerance to extreme heat though, and if anyone reminds Viper of her sun & moon necklace or emerald ring, she feels a part of her dying on the inside. Viper can't read well. It's strange but true. She understands basic words, but nothing complex. Just enough to get by. INTERESTS/FEARS: Her biggest fear is being hurt again, in anyway. She won't let herself get close to people because of this, and she certainly won't trust anyone. She's also terrified of fires and death. Her interests are simple: survival. Her favorite past time is toying with people. Even if she doesn't need or want something, she likes to fuck with people's minds. It makes her feel better. EXTRA INFORMATION: Abuse of any kind gets to Viper. She's actually dropped what she's doing to (if possible) kill the abuser. She blames what she's become on it; various types of abuse make up some of her worst experiences, and she feels that anyone who would abuse another human isn't worthy of the life they have. Posted Image Name: Dominik James Ross Age: 40 Posted Image Biography/History: Dominik is the oldest of four kids: Travis, Braeden, Darcy, and himself. He was born to a poor, lower class family. Money had been a struggle for them since before Dominik was born and his parents, Anya and Evan, were stuck with dead end, low paying jobs. Anya was a waitress and Evan was a construction worker. They could barely support themselves let alone a child (And worse, FOUR children) When Anya was pregnant with Dominik, things just got more stressed. His parents were overjoyed at the thought of a kid, but they knew how tight money was. They had him though, and they've never regretted it. As hard as things were for Dominik's family, his parents loved all of their children and loved them all equally, something that Dominik never really realized. Dominik always felt like the black sheep of the family. He's the party boy. Dominik was the guy that wasn't afraid to do crazy shit for fun. He loved to party, and as Dominik got older his partying became crazier and crazier. Nothing was off limits in his mind. Sex, fights, drinking, etc. In fact, drugs and drinks were practically guaranteed at parties. He'd come home high/stoned/drunk/whatever so very many nights. It was unbelievable. His parents would pull out every punishment they could. Grounding. No TV. Whatever. Nothing worked. Dominik was just the rebellious party boy type. However, Dominik would never allow this to interfere with his duties as the oldest brother. He loved both his brothers and Darcy, his sister. He'd do anything to ensure their safety no matter what the cost. No one dared to bully them because Dominik would beat the hell out of them. You could say what you want about Dominik; you could think what you want about Dominik; you were going to treat his brothers with respect. He may be a drunken, sex-crazed, drugged up party boy-athlete, but he is a damn good older brother! Personality: Dominik's the kind of guy thinks with his dick. Sex is something that's almost always on his mind. He just loves it; it's like an addiction to him. He'll do it anywhere, at anytime, with anyone. Boy? Girl? Public? Private? All the same to Dominik. Now, this doesn't mean Dominik's some cocky asshole who puts no thought into what he says or does. In fact, he's actually very charming. Dominik's got a real talent with words. He's incredibly persuasive and speaks well in almost all situations. Some guys use looks to get laid; Dominik uses words (and looks, but mainly words) He understands just how strong words are, and is incredibly talented at when and how to use them. Not just with sex, but with anything. Dominik knows how to convince you he's telling the truth, even if he's not. Making friends is in his nature. Dominik's a flirty, social being, and social beings need friends. Lots of them. Dominik is also incredibly cocky. He practically believes he could do anything. He never, ever feels self doubt except if compared to his brothers. Otherwise, he's convinced that he is number 1, or at least up there. Dominik has a hard time admitting he's wrong or not good at something, anything. It's not in his nature, and it really doesn't bug him at all. Dominik knows who he is, and he loves himself the way he is. He's not going to just randomly sit up and change personalities one day. Dominik isn't some sort of great, phenomenal man though. He's far from it, and he knows it. He completely accepts it. Dominik's an asshole. It doesn't bug Dominik that he rarely has a problem taking advantage of others for what he wants or needs. Dominik's selfishness knows almost no bounds. Dominik almost always puts himself first and others second. He always looks out for his best interest, which may not be someone else's best interest. He likens himself to be a bad ass tough guy, but a lot of the time Dominik acts like a scared coward, running in the face of danger rather than standing his ground and fighting. The strange thing about Dominik, though, is how selfless he'll become when it truly counts. When push comes to shove, Dominik really is a selfless and brave person. He rarely, if ever, shows this side of himself, but it's there. It's why he joined the army. It's why Dominik believes he's going to die in this apocalypse. He doesn't want to die. Dominik feels nowhere near ready to die; he loves being alive. He's just facing facts. As many times as he runs from danger, Dominik knows that if it came down to his life vs. the lives of many others, he'd face death with pride, knowing that he died for a reason. He wasn't unlucky. To Dominik, that seems like a pretty cool way to die. It's something he knows he wouldn't regret, ever. He'd be looked back on as a hero, or at least heroic. And to Dominik, that's as good as living if not better. Relationship/Marriage (Optional): Dominik has been in 1-2 true, real, meaningful relationships. Tops. Dominik's the kind of man who would prefer a random one night stand to a relationship built on love. More fun, less commitment. The 2 real relationships he had been in, one wih a guy named Trevor, the other with a girl named Allison, were great for a while. Dominik was sure he was in love both times. In fact, a piece of his heart still wants both of them back. He fucked both up though. He'd cheat, or say something, or do something. He couldn't help it. Dominik couldn't control himself. He gave into his every urge and desire. They lasted a while, but he managed to fuck them both up. He really hopes his next real relationship works out. If he even gets a third one. His relationship with his family is strong on his side He loves all of them so much. Dominik may not always show it, but he'd be crushed if he found out something happened to his brothers or parents. The idea of losing them is a horrid one, one that would destroy him. He's most protective towards Darcy though. She's the youngest and, despite her being more than capable to defend herself, he always goes out of his way to ensure her safety. Colour: Orange Strengths & Skills: Strong, athletic, brave when it TRULY matters, charismatic, persuasive, charming, creative Weaknesses: Cowardly in most situations, doesn't cope with stress very well, never thinks ahead, very book dumb (Cs were what he considered a good grade in school. He failed more than a few classes), very poor swimmer, overly protective of Darcy Fears: Drowning, zombies, death, harm coming to his brothers, being truly alone in the world, being looked at as a coward for the rest of his life, bugs in general Other Details (Optional): Dominik used to use drugs but he stopped when the apocalypse started. However, he's not coping well at all and definitely feels a desire to turn back towards them, but tries to resist for Darcy. He really, really wants a kid of his very own, though he' never admit it. Dominik just loves children. Huge reader.[/color\ |

NAME: Brandon Shepard AGE: 19 NATIONALITY: Illinois Posted Image PERSONALITY: Brandon's been a social person since a young age. He loves people. He likes to talk with them; mess with them; flirt with them, occasionally fuck them. Brandon's no man-slut, but he isn't innocent either. He's been with a fair amount of guys in his life. Most of the time it's just talk though. Brandon loves to flirt with people, not because he plans for anything to happen, but for fun. He enjoys teasing people a little. Brandon's also a loyal friend. He's never boring, and he always has his friends backs. People don't hurt his friends and come out unscathed. He's gotten in a few fights defending friends actually. Brandon's lost most of them, but he doesn't regret doing it. He's also incredibly honest, though not in a mean way. He just doesn't see the point in lying about things or giving people false hope. Brandon would rather know how things are than hold out for a non-existant hope. The best way to completely lose his trust and care is to lie to him about something huge. He'd be a little mad, but more sad and he most certainly wouldn't trust the person. HISTORY: Brandon and his mother Katherine did not have an easy life. His father walked out on his mother while she was still pregnant. Brandon's never even met him. He wants to though, but Brandon knows he never will. The two struggled to survive. Katherine had a low-income job as a waitress, and Brandon was unemployed despite his best efforts. In school, he was an average student. A couple A's, but mostly C'a and a few B's. He'd given up on college from a young age. It wasn't going to happen for him. They could barely afford to survive, let alone for Brandon to go to college. In school, Brandon is far from being popular. It didn't bug him though. He had his friends, and that's all that mattered. Besides, what guy with tattoos who'd wear black nail polish and leather pants is going to be popular? More than a few people thought he was something of a freak. He responded by making them as uncomfortable as he could, usually by getting very sexual towards them. They rarely came near him again. Despite all the hardships, Brandon likes his life. It's far from perfect and he definitely doesn't have advantages others do, but he has plenty of freedom, which is more important to him. Brandon's mom has never been anything but supportive of him, and he's always been allowed to make his own choices. ACQUIRED SKILLS: Brandon's a talented writer. He never really planned to be one, but he enjoyed it and his skills grew over time. His dream was to be an artist, and he's incredibly good at drawing/painting/etc. He's got basic knowledge of guns and could use one when needed. Brandon also knows how to read people and behave appropriately for a situation. RELATIONSHIPS: The most important person in Brandon's life is his mom, Katherine. She raised him completely on her own. The two have been traveling together for God knows how long. He can see Katherine is trying to stay strong, but it's very apparent that she's crumbling under pressure. Brandon often finds he ha to take extra time to help stabilize her and calm her down because of this. She's gotten him through so much before the apocalypse, and now Brandon feels it's his responsibility to help her with this. Out of the survivors, Brandon feels closest to Darcy. The two met up during the apocalypse and grew to be close friends. Brandon would definitely risk his life to protect her; life is meaningless without friends. Brandon would rather die saving one than live alone. Brandon also has an interest in Preston. He thinks that Preston is just incredibly sweet and would love to be with him. However, Preston hasn't really shown Brandon any signs of being bi/gay, so he's content with just being friends, with the occasional one-sided flirting. COLOUR:Green ❤ STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES: Brandon is a decently fast runner and knows how to hide. He's easy to like. He rarely stresses out over things, preferring to keep calm. Smart, but in a realistic way, not a school one. He's a very logical thinker and does well under pressure. Brandon's biggest weakness might be his loyalty to others. It's a great trait, but he can focus on their safety at the expense of his own. Not book smart at all. The fact he's outgoing is both: it's easy for him to meet new people and get along with them, but Brandon also feels very depressed without them. He needs friends. INTERESTS/FEARS: Art, Brandon loves to paint or draw. He also enjoys writing, mainly just personal things to express how he feels. He loves horror movies as well, mainly the darker, grittier, realistic ones. He loves to read, and enjoys messing around (in a fun, harmless way) with people, even his friends. His biggest fear is to being alone. Not literally, but to have absolutely no one who cares about him? Brandon would probably kill himself. He couldn't take it. He's also afraid of drowning and, not dying, but turning into a zombie. He doesn't want to come back after he's gone. EXTRA INFORMATION: Atheist. He doesn't see how anyone could believe in a God or afterlife after all that's happened. While it's not his priority, Brandon feels his appearance is important and takes time to make sure he looks good (and like himself) He actually took in a stray dog off the street once, but it disappeared once the apocalypse started. Posted Image Nick upped it to as many as you want provided its not wacky lol Edited by AmandaYoung, Dec 5 2012, 08:41 AM.

In that case, I'll start working on a 3rd character. (zombiethumbsup) He was originally created for Nick's The Walking Dead RPG back on DTD, but since it got cancelled I didn't end up finishing him. :P Hopefully I don't take too long! |

FULL NAME: Thomas Edward Brooks NICK NAME: N/A AGE: 20 PICTURE: Posted Image RACE: Caucasian SEX: Male SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual PERSONALITY TRAITS: Somewhat reclusive. Insecure. A bit of a control freak. Tends to care too much about how others feel about him and whether or not they are okay, often giving up things of his own so that others around here can be happy. He tends to be taken advantage of often. He relies on others when it comes to his emotional wellbeing, but when it comes to doing things on his own, he is very self sufficient and does not need someone trailing behind him, guiding him through his life. He is very intelligent and not afraid to share random facts about things, or correct people on their grammar (and other) mistakes. He's just trying to be helpful by doing this but it tends to rub people the wrong way unless they know him well. BIO: Lived a rather quiet life in several foster homes after he was given up for adoption by his mother, Terri Hart. Despite his need for companionship, he strangely doesn't mind the fact that he's never had a set-in-stone family that he's lived with for more than a couple of years at a time. He actually prefers this since it allows him to travel occasionally, which is something he enjoys. He remains optimistic that he will someday reconnect with his biological family and at some part have a husband/wife and children of his own. He came out of the closet at the age of fifteen and despite the fact that he attended a very gay-friendly school in Florida, people still mistreated him, even the other 'out' guys at the school who would often use him, seduce him, manipulate him, and leave him in their wake. For a long while, Thomas blamed himself for this, seeing his flaws as the reasoning behind how others treated him. He avoided succumbing to bitterness and being vengeful, instead focusing on things that matter: finding a new job (Waffle House isn't exactly the best), getting a car, and starting college. STRENGTHS: Good swimmer. Able to climb things without loosing his balance/grip...as long as he doesn't look down. Able to convince people to see things his way when it comes to conflicts and problem solving, but that usually only lasts a short period of time. WEAKNESSES: Heights freak him out. He isn't very good at identifying with people much older or younger than he is, despite the fact that he dislikes his generation. HOBBIES: Collecting foreign currency. Reading. Songwriting. Trying new foods. He wants to start rock climbing and doing other 'daredevil friendly' things in order to conquer some of his fears but hasn't the time or money to do so lately. FEARS: Drowning. Falling to his death. Never finding someone who wants him more than just physically. Starvation or being poisoned. Going bald. Finding out he has an incurable disease. |

OKAY. I've long started writing, and I've caught up with all the characters, all of whom I love <33333 Omg. Just saying now-- there are only 6 characters in the first update. A seventh is intro'd in the second update. The rest won't come so soon, although I've already planned their intros. And it's not a first-come-first-serve thing, so yeah, some of the early intros were late sign-ups. Tomorrow you'll find out who. ~ From now on though, I'd prefer having characters sign-up over the age of 30, if there should be any late additions. Only 3 out of 11 so far are beyond that age. |
