Plot: Seven teens go camping in the Australian bush at a beautiful hidden getaway, aptly named Hell. When they return to there hometown they discover it has been taken over by a mysterious military force. As they strive to find answers they are forced to fight back, and reclaim their home by any means necessary. I LOVE the original Red Dawn<3. Ive seen this around but Ive never watched it, figuring it was just a Red Dawn ripoff lol. Hopefully I'll enjoy it. |

This was a better Red Dawn remake than the actual Red Dawn remake. (No joke. I saw the Red Dawn remake on Wednesday, and it blew chunks.) Better action scenes (no shaky cam!), more interesting characters, more plausible invaders (ambiguous Asian country versus... North Koreans? Really, Red Dawn remake?), and while it isn't saying much, better actors too. Definitely go see it. I also have the book the movie's based on. It's quite a read. This movie was what convinced me to seek the book out, and it doesn't disappoint. |
