At the late showing last night, it was in a 300 seat theater. Let's just say 295 of those seats were unoccupied. |

That's sad. It was the same case when I saw Final Destination 5 too though, and look how much that ended up making worldwide. :P |

In the last couple of years, the market for movies has changed dramatically. If somehow, someway this movie could be released in China, Katie bar the door, it could make more than in the US, and for a very minimal investment. The international market has taken up the slack lost when the DVD purchase market dried up in North America. So many more international opportunities than there were a few years ago. |

So I finally was able to see this. I literally have to drive almost an hour to the nearest theater so thus explains my delay. Okay here we go. Going into this I was really pumped because of Hooper and some of the original cast returning. I thought surely this would refresh things and shift the franchise into a new direction. I loved the opening. I appreciate that it picks up directly from the original and we even get to see some of the stock footage restored. Great touch. I was little "eh" on the shootout, but it wasn't overly dramatic/over the top nd handled well. IMO. The time difference/gap sorta bugged me but I'm not one to get hung up on every little detail so I looked past it. The characters were eh...but I didn't think the acting was bad at all. Alexandra has proven herself to me as a scream queen. Surprisingly Trey Songz did well with his bit too and Kenny (Sanchez) was my personal favorite. I agree with Twis, when he said Nikki was boring. The actress was fine but the role was sorta of "what the fuck". You're her best friend, but you fucking her man? Rude. I even enjoyed Daryl but I wished he and all the other characters had been fleshed out and developed more. That's one of the things that bothered me was the beginning felt so rushed, while the later half of the movie seemed to move at a steady pace. While certain moments of dialogue were cringe-worthy "Cuzzzz".. and I felt let down by the carnival scene I was still thoroughly entertained. The deaths were alright. Kenny's was the best, but none of the others really stood out for me. One thing I did enjoy were the little odes to the previous films here and there like the infamous freezer and the implied cross-dressing. :P While overall I was entertained and I did enjoy the film, I feel as though TCM3D is just another lackluster sequel within the franchise. Overall: 6/10 My official ranking now: (TCM:Original) (TCM:Remake) (TCM:The Beginning) (TCM:III) (TCM3D) (TCM:II) (TCM:TNG) Edited by degausser12, Jan 11 2013, 03:08 AM.

Lol yeah Nikki sucked. In the script she came off pretty cool and even though she slept with Ryan I still liked her but In the movie she was portrayed as a cheap generic slut and not as the cool spunky rock chick she was in the script. |

great movie (lthrface) although I seen a few flaws like the timeline and heather's age I overall loved the movie. I missed the true slasher films and I hope the studios continue to make more. I don't really care for the ghost and devil movies. |
