It also felt pretty tame compared to The Beginning and the harshness of the original and remake. We got a few gore shots but nothing overly gruesome.

Agreed, The Beginning was surprisingly gory and harsh.

I hope the DVD is out by early April. Movies that flop normally hit DVD fast.

I wouldn't call this a TOTAL flop. It doubled it's budget and will still probably make a couple more million before being yanked out worldwide.

Let's not forget that The Collection made less than $15 million of it's $12 million (I think) budget and remained in theaters for over a month, and isn't being released until March 26th. I'm thinking the DVD for this will be released in early May or so.

Usually films take 3-5 months for a home video release. Then again, a few films either get two months and even six. I don't think it depends if it flopped or not. We'll just wait patiently for a release, short or long.

I would imagine the DVD will be out sooner rather than later. The time between movies being in the cinema and the DVD comign out keeps geting shorter. "Anna Karenina" started in theaters the last week of November, and the DVD will be out in mid-February already, and it did pretty well, worldwide anyway.

Wel, i can't seem to find new international money stats for TC3D, so I guess it hasn't done a whole lot of additional overseas business. I think all that's left now is the DVDs and downloads.

Well, finally found info from last weekend for the international box office. It took in another $550,000 or so among tracked countries. Every little bit helps, Even the $771 from Serbia and Montenegro.

I agree with you all the way. Both the remake, and The Beginning had an incredible atmosphere, and felt just downright dirty and raw like the original. This film definitely felt more Hollywood. I'm still gonna purchase it to add to my collection though, it was definitely enjoyable.
