In a modern twist to the Roanoke mystery, a few people find themselves completely alone in Detroit after everybody else inexplicably disappears.

Obviously this movie appealed to me because of the poster, and an image of the movie I saw somewhere. And wow, it surprised me a little. Sure, the pacing is strange, but it feels... right, in some way. And the soundtrack of '50s jukebox music was beautiful, complimenting the dark and ominous atmosphere. On top of that all of the actors were familiar to me + they were good. The whole movie genuinely freaked me out, with just the subtlest of things in the background.

I honestly don't get all the hate I'm seeing around this movie. People just complaining about how there weren't any jump scares or a "solid" explanation as to why everything happened. In fact, you're literally left in the dark about what's going on and that's something that's always appealed to me.

I saw this a couple of years ago. It was alright, but I didn't think it was anything special. It's worth watching once though.

I've always been interested in this, I believe it's on Netflix. I agree with you Nick about a lack of explanation for certain films, I need to watch this.
