Today's topic is about crushes you had on fellow classmates and teachers in school. Lol in 7th grade I had the biggest crush on this boy and I think he liked me to. We flirted by literally getting eachother in trouble and fighting all the time. Dysfunctional? Yes. But lots of sexual tension. |

Great, now that I'm starting I might not stop. Crushes for me were always so awkward. I remember having a crush on someone from my homeroom in the 3rd grade, and I mean that as probably one of the biggest understatements ever; sort of like a cheesy gooey puppy dog thing. I remember drawing him stuff throughout the school year and all of that. Talk about the elephant in the room! It's safe to say I was born with my heart on my sleeve and I wasn't good enough at hiding that. It seemed like each year I had my heart set on someone, from the kid obsessed with dinosaurs to the guy that was a fan of the Simpsons and one that was a Star Wars fanboy. I got hit by a truck in the 6th grade when I fell for a guy that was so sugary sweet and perky that he might give you a cavity, a bombshell beauty alternative chick and the boy next door (probably the only person I think I had a chance with since my first break-up)...all in the same class. Sadly nothing came about with any of them. Most of them moved and I never heard from them again (the one guy I thought I had a chance with) and the others fell into different cliques and hung out with different people. Probably the most awkward thing was falling for someone I ran into in the hallways (who would soon become one of my friends) when I was in high school. I did my best to block out my feelings and I'd go on to date one of her friend's brothers for a short period of time. Eventually we decided being friends was for the best, so there were no hurt feelings and we're still close. He was a cool guy then and he's still great now. I say this was probably awkward thing ever because of how we both have/had feelings for said girl. It's weird talking to someone you dated who has the hots for someone you do. I guess similar minds have similar tastes. Oh and as far as teachers go, I had a crush on my 7th or 8th grade English teacher and someone who I can only guess was a student teacher at my high school. I can't remember what he did because he might have left during my freshman year. |

It happened to me. Then again, I'm on the abnormal side of things. |

My crushes are intense. I get fixated on the boy for days or weeks or months and thinks about him all the time until it randomly goes away lol. But 5 years? That might be love. |

Back in high school, I had a huge crush on a literature teacher, who was also our Telequiz coach (it was a TV game show I participated in as part of a team of four players). She was wickedly hot looking, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one who had a crush on her. Anyway, after Telequiz was over (we won three matches then fell short in the semi-finals), we had a party and watched the finale together. I found myself alone in the kitchen of a friend's house with her. For some unknown reason, I told her she was pretty and confessed my crush on her. She looked at me puzzled, then burst out laughing! "Oh, Kibby, you're such a kidder." Two years later, I'm interning at a local radio station. My second weekend there, I ran the control board for a man named John who hosted a show talking about fishing. We were joking around after the show, and he said, "Oh, my wife's here, better get going." I looked, and there she was! My high school Telequiz teacher! She died of cancer a few years later. I will always remember Lydia. |

Back in high school I had a major crush on a cool emo/alternative girl in my class called Claire, which went on for a few years, but I was always too chicken to ask her out. Years later, I found out from one of her friends that Claire used to have a crush on me as well. Morale of the story: If you like someone, tell them about it before it's too late. (zombiethumbsup) |
