Posted Image So I've always been a fan of this film, since I saw it, and while I think it deserves alot of credit for being one of the first of its kind, I definitely don't think it's the best horror film ever made, or the scariest. It is however, very suspenseful and surprising at times. And Anthony Perkins' performance was pure gold. |

I love this movie :D Like you said, it's very suspenseful and well done. The shower scene is amazing, and that ending =U ! It also has one of my favorite movie quotes ever ;) We all go a little mad sometimes... |

This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It was the first I ever watched, and it has always just stayed with me. The shower scene kinda screwed me up when I first watched it, haha. |

Fact: I was scared of bathrooms, staircases, and especially showers after I first saw this movie and would RACE in/out of them whenever possible. I was about 6 though |

Lol, same. I couldn't take a shower for weeks after merely seeing the trailer. I'm mostly over it, but I do think i'm still more aware then I would have been had I never seen it. (mrgreen) |

Wow, y'all are wimps XDDD I don't get what's so SCARY about this film. Yes, it's amazing but just like the original NOES (that terrified all of you apparently) I didn't find it frightening at all. And I first saw this before I was 7 years old. :P |

To be honest, I think the moment that freaked me out the most, was when Arbogast was walking up the stairs, and Mother walked around the corner and slashed his face! Just how she suddenly appears, and the music blasts *SCREAMS* Although it does kinda lose effect with the GHETTO falling down the stairs moment XD |

Lol, it didn't 'scare' me per sey. It just mainly made me much more aware of how vulnerable you are in the shower. SO I just had to keep my eyes open and make SURE someone wasn't lurking there. |

OH! Well that makes sense and is totally understandable in the same way that I get how the Final Destination films can make some people more aware of their surroundings. I thought you meant "I was paranoid and didn't want to take a shower because I knew someone would kill me!" or something. Tbh though, I don't see how the shower scene is any more powerful than any of the other slasher scenes out there where people were murdered in their homes, doing everyday things. |
