It is when this is the first horror movie (or really, realistic movie) you saw in your life. And it was basically the same as Kenny's, except I'd always be nervous on steps I'd RACE up those too lol

OH! Well that makes sense and is totally understandable in the same way that I get how the Final Destination films can make some people more aware of their surroundings.

I thought you meant "I was paranoid and didn't want to take a shower because I knew someone would kill me!" or something.

Tbh though, I don't see how the shower scene is any more powerful than any of the other slasher scenes out there where people were murdered in their homes, doing everyday things.
Basically it's the editing. Even though there isn't a single shot of her getting stabbed, it still looks and feels like she's getting stabbed. And is equally effective as many deaths with more gore. At least for me. Also, it's iconic. (mrgreen)

Norman Bates wasn't that scary in this film, he was more creepy in the 2nd and 3rd one.

I thought this movie had its moments, but I didn't really like it.

Kinda agree he wasn't all that creepy. Though his reveal of him dressed in his mother's clothes creeped me the hell out because I ke[t expecting him to do so at my bedroom door. :-/

Eh. Killers don't need to be creepy or scary to me. Norman Bates had this... thing going on, which made him one of my favourite killers of all time <3

How the fuck...? XD

I recently rewatched this. EXTREMELY slow at times but never really boring. Marion was great, definitely my favorite. I don't like Lila...at all. Hell, I only actually liked Marion and Norman out of everyone. And that chick with the bottle of pills at the beginning. Gotta love her.
