In the van scene Pepper should have been able to escape and Erin die right then.

The movie ends with Pepper just running through Texas.

Good for you.

The Leatherface looks pretty scary and menacing than the original.
Agreed. His look is definitely more menacing and horrific. Probably my favorite Leatherface.

I think we get the point that you dislike Erin's character AmandaYoung/Repo, but you really don't have to to reiterate it everytime you make a new post. It's pretty damn annoying especially because 40% of the thread's comments are from you mentioning something about how you wish she didn't survive or how she was generic. Same as on the IMDB boards haha. Not being rude just saying! (lthrface)

I think this is a great remake but The Hewitts pale in comparison to The Sawyer family. Andrew's Leatherface is definitely not as good as Gunnar's. Andrew goes over the top in terms of brutality and the way he handles the actors. (Like how he was sometimes cutting into Eric Balfours back mentioned in the doco on the Blu-Ray.) Gunnar had more of a simplicity to him that made him terrifying without having to go to over the top lengths.

I'd say Marilyn and Jessica are on par, both deliver terrific performances and both are likable but apart of me right now is leaning towards Sally Hardesty over Erin's character.

I honestly think it's one of the better remakes out there, lol.

While I don't hate it or anything, I don't love it as much as I used to. :P Why'd you hate it so much?

It just doesnt compare to the original at all. It tries too hard as well, and its obvious. It didnt really have that realistic feel like the original, the script wasnt great either. And its still not very good, when i think of it as a stand alone slasher. The Beginning is so much better, and i dont even think of it as a prequel to this.

It's kind of hard to NOT see The Beginning as a prequel to this since it had five returning actors/actresses XD
I agree that it doesn't come close to being the realistic masterpiece that the original was, but I thought the writing was actually quite strong for the most part.

What i meant was, i think of The Beginning as a stand alone TCM movie in a way lol.
I feel if someone like Rob Zombie was the one who remade this, it would've been alot better, and would probably have a chance at doing the original justice.
