Out of those two you presented, I'd choose the Lenovo as well.

With that being said, those two systems both have no independent video cards, not sure if you're bastardizing a card from your current PC or not, but you won't be able to play hardly anything with the on-board video.

Well Val, my best recommendation for a gaming laptop would be going through HP/Dell/CyberpowerPC.

Cheapest you're going to get, for a laptop with a decent vid card that lets you play games, is going to be about $550-650, and that'll be bottom barrel. Whether you have your own OS and Monitor will make a difference also.

I'm guessing, much like me when I was younger, your credit isn't so hot, and you're looking to finance, probably through Best Buy because it's got one of the only credit programs you currently have? You don't have to get into our finance details here in public, but if that's the case you might consider checking through Dell/HP/CyberpowerPC's credit programs to see if you can get a line of credit with them.

I'm with Foolscap. Also find a desktop with a dedicated separate graphics card.

My opinion is always make custom now that ive done it myself. If you buy online alot of companies will pre assemble the computer for you and ship it. This is my opinion from personal experience.

Id love to build my own, but im like a 2 yr old with a 600 billion piece puzzle when i look at computers lol. I know how to run then and do things with them, maybe sometimes be able to fix simple errors but thats it XD I might look into buying parts and seeing if the tech guys in the next town over would assemble it.

Val, we can talk on TS sometime if you'd like, I can price and build one, get it shipped to you if you'd like. Honestly, if you did the Lenova and dropped another hundo you could swing a decent graphics card, and monitors can be gotten cheap as well, depending on your size, but another 50-100. The guys are right though, you could piece it all out from NewEgg, and it might be even cheaper. Let me know.

You could get one pre-assembled from cyberpowerpc for a similar price, and get a lot more customization and higher end parts, it would come shipped. That's what I used for the MC server actually :)

YouTube, was such a major help for me when I constructed my desktop. Newegg has a pretty in-depth tutorial, and there are others by lesser-known human beings that could get the job done as well. That is for picking/building/setting up a computer.

Basically, you need a CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Power Supply, Optical Drive, Hard Drive, and a Case; add a Dedicated Graphics Card if you want one. $100 can get you a pretty snazzy one.

if you still deciding i propose with either going with fools idea or just building it yourself.when i was building my computer the first time i watched youtube videos from a proffesional and was 2 hours long. once you get the concept of it it is easy.and if you do take this option then research and find parts that work together and shit. if you have anymore questions ask me,fools, and everyone and stuff if you considering it and if you want i can link the video if you want
