I'm sad to say that some distributors are being forced to accept smaller amounts of cards to sell on to Traders.
one distributor told me today that he expected 3million cards and will only get 150,000 in his first wave.
Tesco's and Asda are taking big chunks of the market and I will now have to refund well over 100 people for goods they may never get.
The warning is this - If you have pre-ordered cards of off a private seller or Ebay shop please check with them that they will definately get cards.
It maybe the case they recieve them next week so that won't be so bad.
Just thought I'd say this because it's not the reseller's fault.

Its the reason I haven't offered any for pre-sale to be honest. Buyers will not be happy having to wait weeks for stuff that is readily available in shops. It might cost me a few sales but saves a lot of hassle by not offering pre-sales.

I guess that's the example of that guy that is selling thos £38.50 boxes. So buyers might not get their boxes of cards?

Fair comment PhilD, it's just bad luck on my part because I've never had a problem in four years.
Still I may get some next Monday and that will get me out of trouble and allow all my customers
to get their goods on time.

We had the problem last year, we took absolutely loads of pre orders and from our original october order from our wholesaler of 30 plus boxes we actually got 6. Then we had the same thing with tins and collector guides were non existant from our wholesaler.

I think the big players like Asda, Tesco etc have so much buying power nowadays that the manufacturers know they can turn their stocks around faster than selling to the little man.

I'd just like to add also that the guy on ebay selling boxes at £38.50p is a real genuine seller, i bought boxes / binders from him last year and collected them personally from him without any issues. My ebay username is thrustler if you want to check his feedback for my name etc

As you say spursdave it's all about being extra careful but at least paypal are there to claim chargebacks if you have any issues.
