The cards seem to be around the £50 mark.

Surely this is good value as the Match Attax Signed cards with even greater print runs go for a lot more than this on Ebay.

What do people think?

Perhaps discounts for multiple purchases?

3 for £110

6 for £200

As said before a discount for forum members would be nice, I've asked but this is not on the cards (excuse the pun! :D ) at the moment.

OK, that's fine but what price and print run would you suggest?

The more cards there are the less desireable, so would you pay say £15 knowing there was 5,000 cards?

Of course you also have to persuade premiership players to sign that many and for a price that allows topps to make a profit, I wouldn't want to have to ask Wayne Rooney to hand sign 5,000 football cards for £1 each! :o :D

The difference is the others are not available to buy direct from Topps, they are just randomly inserted into packs which will drive the price up whereas these are direct from Topps. The print runs of the others maybe higher but with the exception of the Shilton World Cup one how many do you actually see available at any one time ?

Also, whether this country has the market for cards at those prices remains to be seen, we're years, even decades behind the likes of the US and Asian countries in card collecting.

Not everyone is interested in Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea either. Same old players from the same old clubs.

its just that topps target market is aimed at kids really, there is not alot of kids willing to pay 50 pounds for a piece of card in a box with a plastic cover on it, i am but i am saving up for next seasons cards.

there sales on the premier gold is appauling i just think they should lower the price and in the long run they should make more money because there not really selling many at the moment. And they would sell alot by lowering the price even if its like a special promotion for like a week. I would love to complete the set but i just cant find myself paying over £500 on them.

15 various signed MA cards have been on ebay recently plus 5 more available at the moment, so not entirely exclusive.

Not selling for silly prices though (£30 -£50).

Has the authentics range of readily available signed limited cards hit the signed match attax card market?

Topps are aiming this set at the adult market not for Kids but it according to members on here £60 per card is too high.

Thats it though £30-£50 which shows what the price is. Ebay like it or not is the place where prices are determined these days.

How many of the 15 have been different cards ?

I don't think you can compare the markets at this moment between ma and the Authentics, one is as you know aimed at young kids and has a set to complete whereas the other is aimed at 'proper' collectors for want of a better word and there isn't a set to complete. Topps need to understand its not all about the 3/4 clubs (admittedly they will sell more of those than others) and if they opened up to other fans then it could work out but prices especially to start off need to be a touch more realistic and also i've yet to see any decent marketing from them. I don't know if they have promoted in mags like Match or anything as I don't buy them.

So if they went for double the print run for half the price would you be interested?

LE of 300 @ £30 each?

with perhaps 2 for £50, 5 for £100.

Perhaps they could auction a single card from each of the range weekly? Not going to rack up masive sales but once the product line expands to 100's of different items

Personally I wouldn't be interested as the players and clubs don't interest me but on a general basis then it would be more appealing to have some reasonable priced ones which could then encourage people to purchase more exclusive ones of the 'superstar' type of player which could be at higher prices with the lower print runs.

Its a market that is there in this country but needs to be allowed to grow.

Oh I like that idea!

How about a yearly Premier Gold set of 11 players from each permeirship club at a premium price of £5 for a pack of 5 cards then perhaps a signed authentic card for each club to buy for £30 from Topps direct or find as an pack insert?

You could collect certain teams plus the insert if you couldn't afford the whole set.

A nice 12 card player 'team' display frame would be nice!

I'm on a role!!

Even £30 a card is a lot when the signatures of most of these players are easy to obtain for a fraction of that cost. If they perhaps did a giveaway where each purchase was entered into a draw to win one of these it would have been better.

Signed cards from the Authentics range look nice and the pack of cards from the set look good.

but for me i like to get the auto;s in person which then makes it personal to me. Every card has a story behind it. It nice to see a better set of cards that you can get signed the idea of having a signature box is great as it makes the card look and display better.

would i buy a signed limited edition card very very unlikely as it dosnt tick my need to have box!!!! especially at the prices they are currently at if the price of the cards came down this would be better for all collectors of signed cards.

would really love the idea of a Premier Gold set of 11 players from each permeirship/championship/1st & 2nd divison clubs at a premium price say £10 which would appeal to all 92 club fans. This last sesaon Burnley FC did a set of player cards which were 110% fantastic good work Burnley FC (the down side is that i bet the players got sick of signing them, great for palyers not featured in any match attax cards!!!!) it would be great to get sets of these cards for each club or for tops to do a top up sets for all players in all leagues

I think this is a great move by Topps UK. It's been too long since there has been something worthwhile for collectors. Futera Unique are a great release but they are extremely high end, and their price reflects this. And I would rather collect a designated 'Premier League' release as opposed to the International teams with Futera.

The price is fair in my opinion. An Owen, Giggs, Rio numbered as low as some of them are is good value I believe. Don't understand the price ranges though, with a signed Giggs numbered to /105 the same price as a signed Giggs numbered to /607. Doesn't make sense, I mean which would you prefer to buy?

The cards look great. Can understand a lot of teams aren't represented, this is something Topps would need to look at to sell more of them in the UK. My only two real issues with this release are:

No promotion. Not sure how long any information has been available or how long the cards have been released for, but I only found out about them through the FCF competition email I received last night. Whereas there are a fair few collectors here in Australia and once word gets around there will be some interest, the Asian market would certainly snap these up very quickly at the price they are at I believe. If any Topps UK reps do read this, I would encourage them to further promote on other countries trading card forums.

My other issue, and I haven't contacted Topps UK regarding if there is any leeway in this, is the cost of international postage. The only postage option I had to choose from here in Australia was 'Worldwide Delivery' at 34 pounds. I can understand if something somewhat larger than a trading card was to be sent registered outside of the UK may fetch a higher price. But I have purchased one or two cards from the UK that have cost me upwards of 100 pounds :idiot (hey not many) and the most for registered postage was 13 pounds. It just doesn't cost that much to post a trading card...

Otherwise, hopefully this is just the beginning from Topps UK. Would like to see some box/pack releases in the future. With maybe one 'squad player' autograph card per box and a couple of jersey cards per box, with one or more 'superstar' autograph cards per case... but in my opinion this is a great start.
