2013 Futera Unique Box Break

I haven't bought a football product since Man U SPA, which was probably one of my favorite products to open at the time: 1-3 autos (with a good shot at a big name), one jersey, 8 parallels, numbered insert sets, all at a little under $100/box.

So I saw this product (auto a pack? Sign me up!) and thought I would take a flyer, buying two boxes. It was only after the product shipped that I read up a bit on the legitimacy, or potential lack thereof, of the autos. Hmm. But no need to start another flame war.

Nevertheless, I've opened one box and it's been fun so far. Not sure if I want to open the 2nd one though. Design is pretty nice across the board, good card stock, solid checklist. The on-card autographs are really sharp looking. The pricing is a bit steep though, I have to say, in the rarified air of the higher end products in other sports (Exquisite anyone?). Without further ado:

Pack 1:
Parallel (of 240) - Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos
The Heroes (of 240) - Thomas Muller
24KT Gold Auto (of 1) - Karim Benzema

Not much needs to be said here.

Pack 2:
Parallel (of 240) - Dani Alves, Johan Elmander
Archive Jersey (of 195) - Lee Chung Yong
Auto (of 55) - Gary Cahill

Guess you have to appeal to the market buying this product. And that market is...East Asia.

Pack 3:
Parallel (of 240) - Joel Obi, Xherdan Shaqiri
Archive Jersey (of 195) - Thiago Silva (2C)
Auto (of 55) - Javier Hernandez

Chicharito!

Pack 4:
Parallel (of 240) - Michael Kadlec, Antonio Valencia
The Heroes (of 240) - Gareth Bale
Auto (of 55) - Per Mertesacker

Pack 5:
Parallel (of 240) - Mesut Ozil, Bastian Schweinsteiger
Archive Jersey (of 195) - Iker Casillas
Auto (of 55) - Bacary Sagna

This auto had a weird foil thing going on compared to the other ones.

Pack 6:
Parallel (of 240) - Marat Izmailov, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk
The Heroes (of 240) - Samir Nasri
Auto (of 55) - Anderson

There you have it. Pretty much an EPL box except for the Benzema. Almost everything is going on the Bay, and thinking about holding/selling the other box. Best of luck on your own breaks. Cheers.
