I have only seen the Vardy card in the Strike It magazine.....other than that the LEs have only been in the binders....I am not sure why Panini do that....it basically means that if you want to complete the set you have to buy multiple binders...which is ridiculous
It does mean that you can guarantee getting the card(s) that you need but what are we meant to do with 5 spare binders???
put your futera collection in them as they don't do binders at all!
or player collection
or swaps
or an older set that you don't have a binder for.

but yes I agree it is not ideal.
