Garm let out a low chuckle at his opponent's ineptitude. The pup couldn't even keep track of what was going on around him. He did smile slightly when Dan came at him though-- he had guts. Garm was going to punish him for it, but he had guts. Again Garm took advantage of his longer reach, throwing a jab at Dan's head as he came in-- Dan would have little choice but to accept it or back off, either one of which worked in Garm's favor. He accepted Dan's blow in return, grunting at the force-- slightly harder than he'd thought, though nothing special. If Garm had more time for introspection he'd probably admit that was entirely because of his low opinion of the punk, but time for thought wasn't something he had a lot of. Not when there was action to take. The spin kick almost made Garm laugh-- such a move was telegraphed so obviously a blind man could see it, and Garm was anything but blind. One hand snapped down, taking the majority of the force, his body pivoting to mitigate the rest. Garm refocused on Dan, ready for the next blow... just in time for a palm thrust to slam into his forward-thrust shoulder. He grunted, this time in surprise-- Dan was also faster than he thought, though again not by much. Garm took a step back, reorienting himself toward Dan, and grinned thrice. "Better than I expected, pup. But really, my last girlfriend could do better than that." Grins turned to smirks as he drove forward, throwing a jab-cross combo-- the jab a distraction, something for Dan to focus on right before the cross slammed home. His advance continued, wrapping Dan in a bear hug and bringing him to the ground with a growl. |

Dan went to block the jab but sustained the cross to his face pretty heavily, causing him to stagger backwards with a hand back to his jaw, blood beginning to well in his mouth. Ah, the sweet taste of blood...he had hungered for it for a little while now. He still wanted a cure for becoming fully demon again, but that was the least of his worries. Gasping in shock while swallowing some of his own blood--making Dan choke in the process--he could feel himself being bear hugged like the chains in Hell were wrapping around his body and squeezing the air out of his lungs. The next second, Dan was slammed to the ground, his head hitting the ground hard and stars coming before his eyes. He lay there, sprawled on the concrete floor and dazed, wondering what had just happened. No, this couldn't happen to him. An Aislinn whose last name was Ray, no, he was already feeling like a disgrace to his aunt and cousin. As if he hadn't disgraced them enough! Dan could hear Dave again, "C'mon! I can get out of that with my hands and legs tied behind my back, blindfolded and mouth duct taped! If you can't get out of that with your limbs available and your senses at peak condition, then don't bother coming back to Hell! You can stay in the human world, where we both know is Hell for us!" "Shut up, Dave..." "A.N.G.E.L. could use some hybrid freaks like you for further research." "Shut up!" Dan began kicking out of the hold, trying his damnedest to scratch his feet against Garm's flesh, trying to knock a few punches into his massive arms, and also trying to drag himself out of the hold towards the cage. If the rules of submission Dave taught him in Hell's cage applied here as well, then grabbing onto the cage would hopefully render him free. Dan could only hope that he could inch further towards the cage, what with scratching his feet against flesh as well as concrete and struggling to inch backwards more. "I won't...let...Dave...exile me!" |

Garm kept his grip tight, ignoring the blows raining down on him-- aiming at his arms wouldn't get Dan anywhere. He paused in his attack, listening to Dan's ranting and wondering what kind of nutjob he'd ended up fighting. The defeated kind, though apparently he was trying to muster up some kind of fight. One head shifted, growling in Dan's ear. "You're beaten." To prove the point, another head fastened its teeth around his neck, not drawing blood-- but proving the point quite admirably. He held him like that until Dan submitted, then released him and rose, again dropping into a boxing stance and waiting for Dan to make a move. |

Dan couldn't pull himself from the hold. He couldn't even pull himself free from bear hugs from his cousin James, who continuously got his own ass beaten by Dave and Itachi! That said a lot about Dan's actual credibility versus what he thought he was capable of doing. Fear gripped him around the neck in the form of great hellhound jaws, feeling the warm breath creeping down his neck. It sent chills up and down Dan's spine, and he could only freeze and pant quietly, wondering if death was going to come next. He couldn't face Dave after a defeat like this... And then he was released. The pressure that held him to the concrete floor was no longer there, and the tall being that held him down and made the wolf demon-vampire hybrid scared for his life was standing in a boxing stance again. Would Dan do it? Would he fight again? He would have to... He wanted to make Dave proud, if not defeating Garm, then by persisting in his battles. Dan pushed himself back up slowly, still wondering what had happened. The focus was still hurting his head, but now he would have to ignore that for right now. His family pride was on the line! He studied Garm's stance, looking for an opening again, coming in close. The same strategy? Maybe... "Heh...predictable, Daniel Ray Aislinn!" came Dave's taunt in his head. Dan growled slightly, now sidestepping as he advanced Garm. Could he distract one of the heads? The height was going to be a problem... Dan continued advancing, sidestepping to Garm's left side before swinging a hard cross for his exposed lower side, trying to catch him off guard before swinging his other arm in an upward Jab at one of the heads. Dan followed suit, also in a boxing stance. His eyes now burned with more determination than they had before, something he thought would never show on his end of this spectrum. |

Garm let out a growling chuckle as Dan got up. "You're more of an idiot than it seems. Or just a masochist, maybe?" He watched Dan come in, casually turning to keep facing him... and as soon as he stepped close, Garm delivered the same one-two combination that had taken Dan by surprise earlier. He fully expected that Dan would dodge it... which is why he added a "three" to the one-two. Garm took the blow to his side, retaliating with a sweep kick meant to take Dan to the ground again. And as soon as he was down Garm was on top of him, his hands grabbing Dan's wrists and holding them tight. "Done yet?" |

Dan twisted his body this way and that to avoid the one-two combo. However, stars came flying at him in the form of a three to his face, dazing him before gravity took over as a foot sweeping across his legs, dropping Dan completely to the ground once again. Garm was now over him, holding him down by the wrists. "Done yet?" was all the large demon asked. Dan was bruised, sustained a massive ache all over his body and wanted this fight to keep going. Dave's figurative laugh kept echoing in his head. He was sure his cousin could fair well against this man-beast demon, but Dan knew he couldn't. Not that well, anyway. He struggled again, trying to move his knees so that he could kangaroo kick Garm off him, but to no avail. Garm weighed much more than Dan did! "One...more...round..." Dan seethed, breathing hard and trying to block out his successful cousin's mental taunting. They were not connected mentally, but that did not mean Dan couldn't imagine Dave's disappointment when he got back. "Just...one more...please..." |

Garm chuckled as he released Dan, again backing off and settling into his stance. "You're a demon, right? Change. I want to see the real you. Forget about your cousin or brother or whoever it is-- he's not here. Forget about the pretty bunny watching-- you don't have a shot with her. Forget about all of it. It's not the here and now." Garm's two side heads growled as he spoke louder. "I've just kicked your ass twice in two minutes. You couldn't do a thing to slow me down, let alone stop me. And you're just going to take it? No, you've got a spine in there somewhere. You just need to remember that it's there. Fuck your family, they're not going to keep you up. Learn to stand on your own two feet, or just give up and lie down while I walk all over you." |

The man was right--Dan was owned twice in a row, with no time to breathe in between! He felt worthless, was worthless. His cousin by marriage, Tamarah, even told him to his face, "I cannot believe you are a relative to my husband!" Her tone sounded as disappointed as Auntie Naomi's about his drug habits. Would he change? Dan was unsure if he would ever boot the drug habit at this rate. Then Garm challenged him. Garm challenged him to show a form he had never shown before, and since now he was a half-blood vampire no thanks to that Kurt guy that some A.N.G.E.L. soldier killed, Dan was unsure if he could ever do so. "I..." His eyes flickered this way and that, trying to hide the fact that he didn't even know if he had a true form anymore. "...I thought this cage disallowed aura from ever being used," Dan said, looking Garm straight in the six eyes of the three heads. "Besides, I learned in Hell that turning a form used aura. This cage restricts that, right?" He was using reasoning. Reasoning! Something Dan never used, even when drugged! Focusing on the problem at hand and ignoring the growing headache, Dan continued, "At the risk of sounding like an excuse-making loser that I know I am, why don't we leave this cage so I can show my true form to you?" He was very surprised with himself now. He sounded quite confident with himself now. This was something new to him...confidence in himself? Maybe Garm's words got to him. Dan turned on his heel, turning his head over his shoulder to call back to Garm, "Meet me outside the cage." With that, he went towards the cage's exit, ready to free himself of the aura restrictions. Common sense called for using aura to transform. It was time Dan actually used it. |

Three mouths smiled in unision, displaying sharp teeth. Outside the cage meant the rules were gone. Outside the cage meant they were in Garm's territory, instead of neutral ground. A small part of him warned against that, pointing to the razor-thin line that seperated confidence from arrogance. Garm shoved that part aside-- he knew he was better than this pup. Garm climbed out of the cage wordlessly, giving his opponent a dark smile before he moved to open the front door for Dan. "Outside. I'd rather not ruin this place." He waited for Dan to exit, following behind him and glancing around the empty street. With a wicked grin he took up position in the middle of the street, facing Dan. The flames began at his chest, rippling their way over his body slowly. Along his arms, down his legs, even up and over his heads, until Garm was covered in fire. It took shape quickly, gaining form as a suit of plate armor-- but one made of fire, one that flickered as he moved. More flame flowed down his arms, forming in his palms, solidifying into an oversized bastard sword in his right hand, and a whip of fire in his right. Garm raised the sword into a guard, the whip dancing around his arm as if it was alive. He fought back a chuckle, instead favoring that same dark smile for Dan. The kid gloves were off now. |

Dan could only gulp at the thought of what Pandora's Box he had now opened. He was a soldier of Hell, in the 69th Legion, and he didn't know what the first rule of proper combat was. This was where his life was going to be decided. Should he keep on going? He could only watch in restrained terror as Garm's body became covered head to toe in fire, a bastard sword in one hand and a whip in the other. And what did Daniel Ray have in response to that? A simple boxing stance? A stance he learned from sparring with his lord of a cousin? Dan could only try as he kept silent and awaited what seemed like the last few moments of his life. |
