Anastasia was having so much fun! She'd snuck away from her parents to play, and had somehow gotten to this cool little village. And the moon! The moon was so pretty! All big, and round. She wished she could touch it. "Where is everyone," she pouted, "Anya wants to play..." But all the houses were closed up tight. There were no kids out playing, not even the bad ones that snuck out. Not like Anya, Anya was always a little angel. Mommy said so! And mommy was always right. There was a shuffling behind her, and Anya turned around. She didn't see anything, but something was there. She could tell. Suddenly, she saw the eyes. They glinted in the darkness, whatever owned them hiding in the shadows of a house. Maybe he was shy. Anya smiled and waved cutely before running off down the road. She stopped and turned when there was more shuffling. The eyes were there again, closer. He was chasing her. He must be playing freeze tag! She laughed and ran off, dodging into an alley. Someone grabbed her from behind, and she froze. That was the game, afterall. He stepped around her, and she gasped. He was alot taller than her, and really muscly. And covered in fur. "Puppy!" she giggled, "You look so cuddly!" The werewolf chuckled and stroked her cheek, "And you look positively adorable. What's your name, cutie?" Anya giggled, "Anya is Anya!" He smiled widely, "Anya? What a beautiful name. Do you want to play a game, Anya?" Anya nodded eagerly, making his chuckle, "It's called the Kissing Game. We see how long it takes for one of us to need to breath. The winner gets to tell the loser to do anything they want, and they have to do it, okay?" Anya nodded and the werewolf leaned down and kissed her. She giggled and pressed her lips against his. The werewolf made a weird noise and hugged her. It felt nice, warm, so she hugged him back. He made that noise again, hugging her tighter. Then his tongue was in her mouth. Anya's eyes widened and she tried to pull away, but his grip was true strong. That thick appendage explored her mouth, filling it with his drool. She was fighting harder, she felt something press against her tummy. He made the noise again, and moved closer, pressing more of his tongue into her. Then he froze as his tongue met cold metal. The back of his head exploded, brain and bone flying through the air as the shot rang out. He collapsed backwards, tongue steaming slightly as it left her mouth. The barrel of the pistol smoked slowly, her tongue changing into it halfway up. Then it slowly shifted back, melting back into her tongue slowly. "Mister?" Anya called, crawling forward, "Mister are you okay? I'm sorry I screwed up the game, do you still want to play?" She shook him gently, but he wouldn't wake up. Why wouldn't he wake up? Anya started to cry, shaking him harder. "Please wake up," she sobbed, "Anya is sorry! Please..." |

The moon hung low in the sky. In her private moments Faina would admit that it was beautiful. Unfortunately, this wasn't a private moment. The doors were locked, sealed up tight, and the town was quiet. Not a safe place for a woman walking alone, but Faina had a job to do. The village had been having troubles at night, so they'd hired a mercenary to clean things up for them. Still, the night had been quiet. Part of Faina was waiting for something to happen, most of her hoped that nothing did. It wasn't that she was afraid-- there weren't many creatures that could challenge Faina to a fair fight, after all, and she wasn't easy to ambush. But Faina was perfectly fine with getting paid to wander around all night and do nothing. Life was easier like that. So it was that she cursed to herself as the shot rang out. Faina took off in a dead sprint, thrusters flaring to life on her legs to propel her faster. In her head, she was running through the information the shot had given her. Her computer tenatively matched the sound to that of Makarov, muffled-- probably extremely close range, though Faina couldn't be sure. Even the computer in her head wasn't perfect, not with this little data. As she got closer, Faina could hear sobbing. She slowed just outside the alley, peeking in. It took microseconds to process what she was looking at, then Faina was hurrying to the girl's side, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "What happened?" |

Anya jumped at the hand on her shoulder and spun around, eyes wide and her hand already changing. The sight of the lady made her stop, hand shifting back to normal and tears coming anew. She threw herself into her and cried, clinging to her tightly. "I... I...," she sobbed, "He-He wanted to play a game... I screwed up. Why won't he wake up?" She clung tighter to her and cried uncontrollably. She buried her face in her belly and nuzzled her. "You smell like Anya...," she mumbled between her sobs. |
