Lucas blinked, "You don't want much, do you?" "No, aside from Earth, Heaven and the death of the admin, no. Not much at all," Itachi said with a light chuckle that was low and came out more like a stuttering growl. But it was evident he was indeed laughing. "I'll help you out," he said without looking up, "Or at least, I'll try to. The best I'll probably be able to do is tell you what kind of weapons they're buying and maybe what kind of people they're trying to arm. I'll see what I can do about the rest, but I'm only human and I've never done this kind of crap before." Itachi smiled lightly. "I don't expect miracles. I'm sure you'll surprise yourself with what you can accomplish. Humans are quite an accomplished species," Itachi replied. The black fox gave him more room, standing more casually to attract less attention as he crossed his arms. "You'll find me a lot nicer to be in company of than most demons. I am a monster, but I am civilized. Now how about we get down to business and get that howitzer-cannon-thing?" Itachi asked. |

Lucas's brow slowly raised while he was talking. He wanted the earth, Heaven, and for this admin guy to die. Alright, so he was going to be working for a megalomaniac. Wouldn't be the first time. He finished taking the machine pistol apart and stowed the pieces in the many, many pockets he had. "Yeah, that'll definitely come in handy," he said mildly, shooting a glare at the shopfront, "The guy's an ass, he knows damn well what I could do with that fucking cannon. He's just holding out for more money." He cocked his head and hummed thoughtfully, "Unless he's got a buyer lined up already, and is trying to keep it quiet. I can't see why though, it's just a really, really old howitzer. No one but me can really use those little 'special properties' it's picked up, I doubt he even knows about 'em..." |

"Perhaps he thinks he can do better and get a wealthy collector to buy it. Or maybe he knows what you might do with it and is on someone's payroll of ally to make sure things like that don't happen. Though, I've only seen that done with teenagers," Itachi guesses as he heads to the little shop with Lucas. He pushed the door open, holding it for the briefest of seconds for the human to catch it without letting it hit him in the face. Itachi looked around the store, not directly going for the counter just yet, but let his eyes scan the room. Mostly it was out of curiosity, the other reason being he wanted to know what was in his surroundings and how it was shaped. Lastly was the location of the howitzer. |

Lucas muttered several choice words about where the owner could shove his "wealthy buyer" as he followed the demon into the shop. He looked around again, looking for choice bits of cover in case his new employer decided to get violent. Unfortunately, the way the shop was set up meant there wasn't any. It was basically just a big open rectangle, taking up enough room to stick a couple of tanks in a formation. The walls were covered with racks of rifles, shotguns, and other assorted small arms. In the corner off to the right of the door sat the howitzer. Lucas gave it a long look again, it was in pristine condition. The barrel was raised, if not for the choke on the end of it he could see it firing into enemy positions right then and there. His gave the room another sweep and noted a rather handsome naval cannon in the opposite corner, a five-incher. The desk was in the center of the room, a huge circular piece of furniture. Behind it sat a rather large man in a cheap suit. He was sitting in a rolling chair looking over a medium machinegun he had disassembled on the desk but he glanced up when they entered. When he saw Itachi, he smiled in welcome. When he saw Lucas, his smile disappeared. "Look, I told you I can't help you," he said flatly. |

"Look, I told you I can't help you," he said flatly. Itachi ignored the man, letting Lucas tell him off a little if he wanted to. The more the man talked, the better a feel Itachi would have with the shop keeper and know exactly what to do and how to handle and talk to him. He strolled the room, giving Lucas time while he inspected some of the small firearms. A small collection of wheel lock pistols caught the demon lord's eye. He mused over a few. It would fit in, he figured, with the slow crawl of rising technology in hell. He picked up one of the pistols, weighing it in his hands. He held the barrel, testing the brass weighted end of the handle that was used for close range bludgeoning. It seemed pretty steady in his hands and fit his grip. He flipped it back around into the correct position in his hand, thumbed the hammer and pulled it back. It didn't get stuck or give much restraint. He let the hammer back to a safe uncocked position with his thumb and a slow squeeze on the trigger to let it unlock. He looked over to Lucas, wondering if he was done talking to the man so he could step in. He looked back to the merchant. "Well, hello. You ready to help me now?" Itachi asked with a disappointing air with a bit of annoyance added to his voice to show contempt that the owner would pay more attention to a guy simply coming in to window shop again than to someone, like Itachi, who was willing to be a customer. It showed bad manners. |

"Fuck off," Lucas groused, "I might have come in for something else, y'know?" The shop owner snorted, "I seriously doubt that, the way you were mooning over that thing. As it turns out, I've got a buyer lined up for your great gun. Now sod off." He glanced over at the demon mucking with the wheellock pistol, "Yeah, I suppose. Welcome and all that jazz, I see you've taken a fancy to that pistol. 'S a reproduction of a French design from around, lessee..." "1550," Lucas muttered, "One of the last designs before the platform was largely replaced by the snaphance. Not very efficient in a military conflict, it takes too long to reload." The owner shot him a dirty look before clearing his throat and looking back at Itachi, "Yes, well, those are only reproductions, something to muck around with if you're looking for a different shooting experience. They're a finely constructed instrument, though. Not cheap." |

"Yes, well, those are only reproductions, something to muck around with if you're looking for a different shooting experience. They're a finely constructed instrument, though. Not cheap." "Reproductions," Itachi repeated, ending their back and fourth 'banter'. After all, Itachi was the customer there, "You got the real thing or not? I prefer the tried and true real McCoy rather than a copy cat replica, weather it works or not. Just my preference," Itachi said. "Like that Howitzer over there. I know it's the real thing. No replica. That the only one you got?" Itachi asked in addition, leaning on the counter and pointing at the howitzer with the flint lock pistol. |

The dealer snorted and shook his head, "No, I'm afraid not. Those guns are rarer than diamonds, these days. Though not as rare as that thing." The dealer thumbed at the howitzer. Lucas couldn't help but follow the gesture, his eyes wandering it possessively. The damn thing was perfect in every way. "Yeah, I dunno what's up with those, but they're never found in one piece like this," the fat man went on, "This gun is worth more than everything else in this store. Combined." "'s worth a lot more than you think," Lucas muttered under his breath and glanced between them. The fat man continued on, "I've actually already set up a buyer with a very, very generous offer. Some rich kid, probably. But money is money, and his money is good. Now, if you're interested in old firearms, I have a rather large selection that isn't actually in this gallery." The man reached under the counter and hauled out a thick binder and slapped it down on the counter. Lucas blinked and stared, it had to be at least two feet thick. The dealer just grinned, "I'm the best buy in the whole bloody city, I am. Tell me what you'd like, and I can get it for you." |

Itachi moved back from the counter enough so the book didn't buffet him with a loud bang when it was set heavily on the table. "I'm the best buy in the whole bloody city, I am. Tell me what you'd like, and I can get it for you." "Really now. What's your take on flint lock pistols like this? But more.. reliable? Also with a bit more heft in the bottom of the handle here, like a wheel lock. In fact, do you know of any wheel locks that are available? If I want to brain someone with it, I want to indeed see some brain," Itachi said, "And without breaking it." As Itachi watched the merchant shift through the books pages, he shifted the conversation back to the howitzer. "You wouldn't happen to be the bartering type would you? Say, if someone wanted something a bit more than a person who was already to pay for something, would they be able to buy it if they offered more money?" Itachi asked first. "Such as the howitzer. How much is that rich kid prepared to shell out?" he asked. |

The dealer hummed and flipped through the book rapidly, stopping in a section of wheellocks. His pudgy finger slid through the list before finally stopping on one and tapping the name. Immediately the page changed, the words disappearing in favor of a large picture of the weapon, accompanied by information. "Here we are," he said proudly, "Smart paper, very expensive. This weapon isn't an old one, it's actually manufactured recently, using newer standards in firearm designs. It's still the old wheellock as far as any user would be concerned, but the parts are more precisely manufactured, so the reliability and accuracy would be increased." He gave Itachi a minute to examine the picture before closing the book with a thud, "Those would be the only kind of weapon that you're going to get with the specifications you want. But they aren't cheap. They're basically toys for the avid collector of unique firearms, so you're going to have to pay at least a thousand per." He ignored Lucas's angry muttering and looked over to the howitzer, humming in thought, "Well... I suppose if you made a superior offer, I'd be forced to give it over. Business is business, after all. But if you're honestly willing to fork over more than half a billion dollars for that old relic, you're crazy." Lucas bit his lip and looked away, that was a fuck of a lot more money than he'd expected. Still not what that piece was worth, though. At least, not what it was worth in his hands. |

"Those would be the only kind of weapon that you're going to get with the specifications you want. But they aren't cheap. They're basically toys for the avid collector of unique firearms, so you're going to have to pay at least a thousand per." Well... that was abrupt.. "I'm more than just a collector. I'm a sportsman. I like things in working order," Itachi clarified. "Well... I suppose if you made a superior offer, I'd be forced to give it over. Business is business, after all. But if you're honestly willing to fork over more than half a billion dollars for that old relic, you're crazy." "How much is the other guy paying for it then?" Itachi repeated, "I highly doubt anyone really has that kind of money. You ignored my question before when I first asked how much you're being paid for it. Don't try to short change me either... I want the exact amount he's willing to pay," Itachi said. "It's a fair thing to be straight with me after all. Lord of hell? And willing to do business with you. Lots of business. You know I can pay for what I want, too. But I like honesty," the fox said, holding up a finger to make sure the merchant got the message. Itachi was playing nice. Very nice. He could have come in guns blazing (so to speak) and taken what he wanted. |

The shopkeeper raised a brow, "For a lord of hell, you have a strangely lacking grasp of languages. You asked, I told you. Five-hundred million. Half a billion dollars. That's his offer. You offer more, with enough interest that it's worth the possibility of me losing a good customer, and we can do business. You don't, you don't get the howitzer." He snorted and looked back at the book, "As for the wheellock, collector or sportsman won't matter. They work. You want 'em, you're gonna have to pay for them. I don't stock in fucking Saturday night specials. I have quality." Lucas had, by this point, decided enough was enough and wandered closer to the howitzer, looking it over. Fuck, but it was in perfect condition. A battle scar here, a chip missing there. All the better. Marks of its history. It would be just glorious for his needs. It was definitely leaving with him, one way or another. |

"I was wondering how you could manage to even stay open on such high prices. But wow, what a snobbish attitude to match. You don't get very many customers do you? No wonder the prices are hiked up so damn high. I'm going to enjoy my time with you once you enter Hell," Itachi stated. Itachi reached across the table to place a clawed hand on the book to drag it closer to him across the table, and when the shop keeper reacted to take it away and get within reach Itachi snagged him by the shirt, pulling him in and nearly across the counter. "I don't care what day it is, but I'm deciding to be nice, so here's your own night special. You know how many years you got in hell for greed? It's a lot, I can tell you right now. And it's not the only thing. Do you know what we do to the greedy in Hell?" Itachi asked the man, smiling lightly. "We boil them in oil. Oh but only the finest oils for you! Every day. Non stop. The flesh just melts off the bone... then regrows. Because in Hell you can't die, you're just a soul. We won't let your spirit break apart. You body is nothing, your eternal soul is what we want to torture. It's much more fun," Itachi said, all smiles. He even gave the merchant a small pat on the head. He turned his head to Lucas. "How squeamish are you?" he asked the human off hand. |

Lucas shrugged, "I'm not squeamish, though you may want to, y'know, not tear the shopkeeper apart while I'm on camera as being here. Just a thought." The shopkeeper snorted and shrugged, unperturbed, "You can call me greedy all you want. The buyer was the one who made the offer, not me. As for the wheellocks, I make only a fifteen-percent profit on them. The bulk seller I buy them from is the one that sets prices that high, not me. You want to punish a man for making a living by selecting only the top of the line and ensuring the buyer gets it quickly and painlessly, I shudder to think what kind of choices you make for your people." Lucas blinked and stared at him. That was... rather nonchalant for a guy who'd just been threatened by a rather eccentric little bugger of a demon. The merchant tapped the counter twice, pulling up a dossier to float next to his head. There was no picture or name, only an address up in Hightown and a bid for five-hundred million for item number one-zero-four-four-three-eight. A picture of the howitzer sat next to the number. "Now," the merchant said plainly, "If you'd unhand me, I'll have to ask you to leave. I don't feel like doing business with such an outright unnecessarily violent person. The boy as well. Otherwise, I'm afraid the shop will be alerting the authorities and local bounty office." |

"I'm not squeamish, though you may want to, y'know, not tear the shopkeeper apart while I'm on camera as being here. Just a thought." "Then get out for fifteen minutes," Itachi stated flatly. "You can call me greedy all you want. The buyer was the one who made the offer, not me. As for the wheellocks, I make only a fifteen-percent profit on them. "Oh it's not just that. I'm also feeling a bit hungry, and don't much like your attitude," Itachi said, lifting him a bit higher, further away from the little display on the counter. It seemed impossible for a man of such large girth to be lifted so high by the suit he was wearing, especially by just one hand. "Now," the merchant said plainly, "If you'd unhand me, I'll have to ask you to leave. I don't feel like doing business with such an outright unnecessarily violent person. The boy as well. Otherwise, I'm afraid the shop will be alerting the authorities and local bounty office." "I don't think you understand the severity of this encounter. I don't give a damn. Let them come. I made a deal with someone, and I intend to keep it. I'm hungry, very upset, and feel very obliged to give you a lesson," Itachi said. He let his grip slip only a little, letting go of the suit to catch the man by the neck instead as he slid in Itachi's grip. "Any last words, or have you changed your mind? Is your life really worth it to give up for a gun?" Itachi asked. |
