I've read all the books ( except for the latest, I'm waiting for the paperback in June). I thought the books were exceptionally long, and I was very distressed with the plot line in the 3rd. But I will say Martin knows how to end a book to reel the reader back in! I watched the first few episodes last year, but Mr. Disco didn't. I just bought the first season on DVD, and we will watch that, then watch the second season ( yes, still get HBO) Totally off topic... also looking forward to The Borgias on Showtime. I LOVED the first season. I think I lived in the Renaissance in a previous life! ;) |

I've read them all too, and I try very hard to not spoil anyone who wants to remain unspoiled. I'm loving the recaps on Westeros though, that compare the books to the show, show which chapters are being used, etc. I love that HBO is able to combine all of the narratives so we have a consistent time line. So a Chapter 10 is mixed in with a Chapter 2 event. Not a spoiler Andme, but the books are told in POV from various characters, so you may not know what is happening with others for 700 pages, you only see what the POV character sees. |

So I finally got M.Disco to finish watching season one ( he likes it!) and we've started watching season 2 on HBO On Demand. Even though I've read the books, I'm having a hard time trying to place all the new characters and keep track of all of them for Mr. D. I kind of feel sorry for those who haven't read the books, as the new characters just kind of plop in. Also, I know the British are awesome actors, but please, could some of them enunciate a little better, please? I am hoping that it is their enunciation, and that I'm not losing my hearing. |

It's both discomom. I like to watch it with closed captions. It helps. This is a good recap site, quite insightful and catches you up. http://winteriscoming.net/2012/04/episode-14-garden-of-bones-recap/ BTW, this is good for people who don't want to be spoiled too. The first part is spoiler free, and then there is a large SPOILERS AHEAD that recaps the episodes in more detail about future set ups for the future story. So, safe from spoilers, but plenty of in depth stuff after. I haven't posted here much, since I HAVE read the books too. Oops, sorry, the did this recap differently than the others, says it's for people who have read a clash of kings (but that was this season so?) Edited by Mariah, Jun 8 2012, 02:44 PM.

There is only one tiny spoiler-y thing in this video, and it's something you will know in the next week or so anyway. Seriously, it's TINY, about a character, not what will happen so much, just changes within. This cracked me up. GAME OF THRONES WISH FULFILLMENT. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wdA6lQ6ymhU |

Anyone still watching? These tweets are very interesting. I wonder if HBO had a rash of cancellations last night? https://twitter.com/RedWeddingTears
