Yes Theon was basically a hostage, though treated fairly well.

You are right about Robin, he was the one screaming "make the small man fly!" about Tyrion and the moon door. He was the grown child still breastfeeding and Sansa was to be his wife.

Rickon was taken to the Isle of Skagos, a very very old wild place in the far northeastern sea, pretty close to the land beyond the wall. I always thought he'd get interesting training there, old gods, reported cannibalism, but fierce and independent people. That will be one of GRRM's travelogues I'll like hearing about. If the wall extended into the eastern sea, it would cut Skagos right in half.

Between them, the Crannogmen (the kids with Bran came from them) and the Children of the Forest, they were the three places I was most interested in.

This is one of the interactive maps of GRRM's world, made by fans, you can zoom in, move around, etc. http://quartermaester.info/

The episode was leaked last night, so if you are someone who doesn't like spoilers? Stay away from any and all social media that has Game of Thrones stuff. PTV is safe, they are full-on patrolling that board since the leak, you can't even post about it in the spoiler thread.

Well, what did you guys think? We are so far beyond the books now, except with the pirates and the Vale, and that should catch up soon, since apparently they are teleporting around Westeros and Meereen now.
ZOOM, Theon's back in the Islands and Sansa makes it to Winterfell, etc.

I wonder if Sansa's pregnant? That was an odd comment she made. (Book Sansa hasn't even met Ramsay BTW.)

That was a lot to take in!

Poor Hodor. Why couldn't Bran wake up? And the tree people created the white walkers, but can't control them?

The Iron Islands got a lot more interesting.

The Raven dude was downloading information as fast as he could into Bran. He'd wanted to train him slowly, but since he was about to die, he had to basically do a computer dump. Who knows how much Bran will understand or absorb? Or even how much he was able to download. It doesn't look promising.

That's in the "Inside the Episode" and extras videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9Jsj9V_Aqg

The time loop explained.

For those who wonder how the books differ, this guy pretty much lays it out. Obviously, some spoilers possible, but really, the show has passed the book now, by far, but they may loop back to include a few stories (Sansa's mom's family and the army is one likely place.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hj1xtRxn7o0

I haven't watched. My son graduated college, so we were caught up in that. I am behind in all things. Can't wait to watch though.

So Hodor had a vision of his death as a kid and lived with it his whole life? Very sad.

This week's episode was pretty good. I am confused as to who Blackfish is Mariah.

He's Catelyn's uncle. This says spoilers, but I read the whole thing and honestly, I don't see any.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2016/05/30/who-are-benjen-and-the-blackfish-again/ This one is OK too.

http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Brynden_Tully This is the best one, Westeros.com usually is. Again, I don't see any spoilers, but a great deal more detail here. However, they may choose to film some stuff with him that wasn't really included in the show yet, but in books? Long past.

There may be one small thing, remember Edmure who married in Robb's place to try to appease the Greyjoys? That was in the show right? Anyway, his tale should be coming up, or honestly I don't know what the show did with it, he's Cat's younger brother, and fairly useless but possibly important to spur others to action. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2016/05/31/game-of-thrones-who-is-the-blackfish-and-who-is-edmure-tully/ Robb's story was quite different in the books too, both whom he married and why, and in the books, she wasn't killed at the Red Wedding.

Basically, I think this is just a way to get everyone in one place, which, THANK HEAVENS! Since Arya grabbed her sword and they are all teleporting to various locations lately (getting there so fast, where in the books the journey alone might take a whole book) she may show up there too.

The show may finally include some of Jamie's story as well, so that stuff could be book spoilers, since it happened long ago in the books, but the show chose to ignore anything good or decent about Jamie simply to prop up Cersei.

Is Queen Magaery really a religious fanatic now? Or just pretending to be?

So Arya saw those people with no names for what they are and left?

I think Margaery or however you spell these names is pretending. Tommen is a dope of the highest order. He's dying soon I'd wager.

Arya is out of there too. Although Starks have a habit of dying off.

I hope the Arya storyline picks up again soon because I was bored to death with the whole people with no names thing. I'm also bored to death with Dany, her dragons and her whole storyline.

Book readers agree. The show is moving at Lightning speed compared to the books.
