So my son last night thinks that Reek/Theon is going to hook up/marry Danaerys.

Ooh. That's interesting.

A lot happened last night that puzzled me. Who stabbed Arya - those no name people? Just because she left?

Awful that those religious carpenter people were all killed. WTF? Because they wouldn't give those men their food? The Hound...did he used to work for the Lannisters?

I think you guys were right. I think Margaery has a plan. Poor Tommen isn't getting lucky. Lol, so he sends the religious wacko to talk to his wife about having sex?

What was the flower drawing that Margaery gave to Oleanna?

I don't think Dany will marry Theon, he has no balls or penis. That would be an odd turn indeed.

This story is now not only beyond the books, it's also eliminated entire segments of the books, especially a great deal of the Iron Island stuff (which frankly, bored and irritated me more than anything else in the book besides Ramsay!)

They've also eliminated or ignored two other contenders for the throne, so they must be red herrings the show doesn't want to bother with. One a Baratheon bastard (Gendry) and one a Targ who in the books is on his way to Dany with Tyrion. In the books Tyrion hasn't made it to Dany yet, he's mostly drunk, morose and endlessly asking "Where do Whores Go?"

ANYWAY. I loved that priest in the books, and I had such hopes that they one truly GOOD religious man would continue to rally and protect the "small folk" and The Hound would be healed, at least his soul, but reluctantly end up fighting for them in some way, even though they weren't about war, glory, or killing.

In the books, the Hound is still presumed dead. I'd say book readers were split pretty close to 50-50 about whether or not he was dead. I never believed he was dead, I knew he was the "very tall" gravedigger priest they glimpse in the distance. I thought their lands (all bogs, you needed to know the path at different times of the day) was pretty safe from the marauding various soldiers who are basically stealing, raping, burning, murdering their way through Westeros. ALL of the armies are doing that, this was a break off group calling themselves the Brotherhood Without Banners I think.

The show hasn't done a very good job of showing how devastated the populace is from all these stupid wars for rich people. If I'm rooting for anyone, it's for those average people caught in the wars for power, while winter is coming, even though they are unaware of the zombies, they do know it will be too cold to stay warm or grow food. Winters can last a decade or more. They are so unprepared.

The Hound was Joffrey's guard/servant, he called him "dog." His brother, who is now the monster Cersei created pushed him into a fire when he was a boy. His life was never his own, and I kind of adore him.

The rose drawing was the symbol of the Tyrells/Highgarten. It was her way of telling her granny that she's always a Tyrell first, a message that even if intercepted, could be explained away easily.

Yes, the Faceless Men (or rather The Waif, whomever she really is) stabbed Arya. Again, WAY beyond the books here, so no idea what will happen. I'm glad she got needle back. Maybe she will go to that actor troop. They did have a "doctor" there examining the warts on that actors balls.

ETA, and this is not a spoiler, just supposition. Arya's stab wounds were around her reproductive organs, so she may not be able to have kids. Bran can't. Robb's dead. That leaves Rickon and Sansa as the only two that could continue Ned's line.

This next part IS a spoiler for the show, so do NOT click on it if you hate being spoiled.

I was joking about Theon. My son is crazy in his theories.

I think Jon Snow has to reproduce. Dany doesn't I think - she was cursed by the witch. Tyrion, Jon Snow and Dany are the three dragon riders I think. The three offspring of Targyrian or however you spell it. Snow by Lianna being "raped"/having love affair. Tyrion is really not Lannister I think also - his mother had an affair also I think.

So someone has to reproduce. Either Tyrion or John snow. Which woman will do it? Sansa and Tyrion or Jon Snow and Margary. It makes sense about Arya not being able to. I think Gendry may show up again. Is he with the brotherhood or is he baking in the woods somewhere still. But he is a Baratheon.

I need Tommen to die now.

Who kills Circe? Because she is going down at some point IMO. My other son thinks Jaime will kill her. I am thinking Margery. He thinks Margery dies.

Who gets Ramsey? Sansa?

There is a pretty viable explanation of how Dany might not be barren up on Westeros.

However, Dany may end up being just another villain in this story, with her dangerous dragons and hoards of people who steal and kill and rape for fun invading. For all we know the White Walkers are really the heroes, cleaning the world of scum. I hope Sansa's not pregnant with Ramsay's kid.

Arya's story made no sense. At all. I don't think she's barren though, those stab wounds weren't by her reproductive organs, and she certainly healed up fast.

I think we are getting cliff notes now, which is fine with me, I just want an ending, and I don't think GRRM will ever offer one. His sneak peak published or read chapters don't really move the story along, at all. One of them was just disgusting with more horrible torturing.

I'm interested in (and this isn't a spoiler at this point, it's just informed speculation) the idea that Meera is Jon's twin. Two babies born to Lyanna, and Howland Reed took one while Ned took the other.

I hope Jamie kills Cersei. I hate what the show has done to this fascinating character in the books. Worst adaptation of any character by the show runners.

Major show spoiler below, don't click if you don't want to know!

Also, remember, GRRM always says prophesy is tricky, and not to be taken as reliable information, since there are many ways it could come true, and words can mean other things, as well as the speaker mistaking things.

So what deal would Sansa have made with whatshisname to get him to help her?

I think it was a fitting ending for Ramsay that he was eaten alive by his own dogs. I loved Sansa's smirk at the end too.

Yes I liked Ramsey's ending too.

I don't think Sansa made a deal with Little Finger. I think she just asked for help. I think Little Finger wants to marry her and become Lord of Winterfell. With Rickon dead and Bran "missing," Sansa is the eldest heir. I don't think Jon Snow as a bastard would be lord? But maybe he would. Little Finger was married to the Catlyn Stark's sister or no? Her son is his ward, so he controls the Eyrie and then Winterfell? I don't know. I think he wants to be Lord of the North and then take over Westeros.

Well Jon Snow has proven to be a dumb leader - rushing head on into battle, letting his emotions rule (even though Sansa warned him not to) and basically losing until Little Finger shows up. #dumdum. hahaha

Yeah, Jon is not exactly a tactical genius. But he is cute, even though he's tiny.

I have a little problem with Sansa not telling Jon the truth though. Men might have been saved it she hadn't lied, but mostly I don't understand WHY she lied.

As for Littlefinger, that note was screen capped and is out there. She certainly did promise him a reward, but we don't know what it is. She knows he wants her and the North though...

This is good.

You're right Mariah - they would've won probably decisively with the knights of the vale had Sansa told Jon.
