She was also in that craptastic movie with Sarah Jessica and Hugh Grant "Have you heard about the Morgans?" ... she's got an unusual face. That scene with Don kissing her hand was the ONE time I thought she was a good actress. BUT I still think she's a main character. |

I don't remember Elizabeth Moss from West Wing. Yes, Icy, her face is oddly shaped. It makes her look bigger than she is. You see a long shot and you realize she is quite small. I can't stand Paul either. Hope he finds great success in LA and we never see him again. Edited by weaver, Jun 7 2012, 07:07 AM.

Man I want a commercial. Who needs reality shows? Last episode tonight. I'm so bummed. I'm only left with Bravo. I started watching all the TNT and USA shows. Some aren't bad. They are all dramadies. Edited by cccharley, Jun 10 2012, 07:28 PM.

Well, its over and all in all I was a bit disappointed. It seemed this whole season is just a buildup to next season. Ending show was decent, but way too much time is spent on the Megan character. I think Weiner is besotted with her. The camera work/lighting is so spectactular, I'm going to rewatch just to see several shots, particularly Don watching Megan's screen test, and Don in the bar at the end. "Are you alone?" The whole Pete/scene with the woman who'd had shock therapy left me cold. I think they could have shown his dissatisfaction with his life in other, SHORTER, ways. I like that actor/character in small doses. |

I noticed all the doors opening and closing in this episode.... endings and beginnings? And Don walking away from Megan as she is preparing to be filmed... is he walking away from the relationship. The whole "If you love someone, let them go...." thing. Did I hear it wrong last week? I thought in the previews for this episode Megan read a letter and said "Pregnant"... but I guess she must have said, "Damn it" in regards to the screen test. OK... so much for all my ruminations... carry on.... Actually, I LOVED the shot of them standing in front of the windows of what will be their new offices... all 5 of them with Joan in the middle. I think that should have been the closing shot, but then again, I'm not Matt Weiner. |

I really enjoyed the season. WeAver I watched that ending scene 3 times already and the one of the reel twice. Loved Don's face. I was wondering if he was thinking that Megan was acting for a lot of their relationship and he's seen those looks before. Loved the James Bond ending. Perfect song, perfect look on Don. You only live twice. |

I hope Megan has a huge success and is not there when next year begins. Weiner says in a video on AMC site that Don realizes what a good actress Megan is while watching her screen test (huh??????) and knows he can't hold her back. It was NOT the way I read the scene at all. I read it as Don realizing she looks good on camera, was willing to sell out her friend, that all the artistic stuff was nonsense, she will use him to get what she wants and she is not the person he thinks she is. So he will get her the part and let her go. I loved that shot of the five of them at the end. Brilliant. Guess Eliz Moss will come up with "You've come a long way, baby" and become very famous in the ad world. Weiner seems to have dropped the whole Peggy's boyfriend plot. |

True, but he doesn't seem to be a factor in her life. |

I think she was at the hotel at the end and that's why she as alone. She went her non Parisian trip to Virginia. I just think it was, done for the season. With only 13 episodes and so much character development it's done for now. Let's see next season if she's happy living together, with her career and if she ever wants a baby. I think theres only 2 seasons left which I'm so upset about. I want the 70 s |

Didn't Matt Weiner say somewhere that he was going to end the series in present day? We're already up to Easter of 1967...21/2 years til 1970. IIRC, 1968 was a hellacious year. I was 7-8 and was old enough to see what was going on, but not old enough to really understand. Assassinations, race riots, Nixon elected, the Viet Nam War in living color every night on our TV, it made an impact on me for life. 1969.. the Moon Landing and Woodstock. Somehow I can't see Don Draper with love beads. Roger Sterling, yeah! |

I think Weiner wrote their relationship very badly. Nothing really jibes. We're told how late everyone works, how they were all going to work 24/7 until they got Jaguar. And we know Abe hates advertising, thinks its beneath him. So what does he think of her new job and responsibility, etc? She's in the PA motel in that last shot and seems happy as a clam without him. Anyway, the relationship never worked for me. What I'd like is that last shot of Don as my desktop. |
