I stopped the season after Phil died. His boys were doing so badly. But I like to catch a weekend marathon once in a while.

I dated a crab fisherman for a few months in the 80's. OMG -most fun ever but probably took five years off my life in partying and assorted wild adventures. After watching this show all these years later - it seems understandable now. :D

Love it, just started watching last year.

Why is it when a wave washes over the boat, they all get wet, unlike on Dr. Imabore's cruiser?

Love Sig and Edgar.

LOL, weaver. And, oddly, enough, their film isn't ruined by saltwater.

I didn't follow why the Cornelia Marie couldn't go out. Isn't there a lady who's the majority owner?

Holy hell, did you guys see The Deadlist Catch: Near Death tonight? Mr. Cosmo had it on after the OC hos. Now THAT was an unscripted reality show. I kept thinking of dilbert because her husband is in the Coast Guard in AK.

Anyway, thankfully Andy was there to talk me down and back into vapid ho-wife territory with that f*cking Whori Laurie on WWHL after the show.

I didn't watch this week's yet. I just got the impression the two incompetent sons and the guy they hired screwed it up last year after Phil died, caught almost nothing, and lost a lot of money. I wouldn't trust those two sons to sort the fish into the storage pot.

Don't know about any woman.

Forgot all about it until my brother reminded me (and as I've had several new cable boxes since last year ended, it wasn't pre-setup to record). I'll be finding it and watching it. I'm behind on everything.

It was pretty good..just setting up the season. Sid seemed particularly pissy.

Saw the premiere episode last night. So I'm one behind. Someone trusts Elliot with a boat??

Nice to see my Sig, but can he lay off Edgar for one single second?

I also watched the special they did of the history of the Time Bandit. Interesting.

Deadliest Catch star's dying wish: New book by sons of reality TV legend, Captain Phil Harris, reveals a life of addiction, infidelity and violence...and the final harrowing hours exploited for ratings

Josh and Jake Harris have penned the brutally frank account of their father's life and death
Mounds of cocaine, potent strains of cannabis and 'gallons' of Stoli vodka
Tens of thousands of dollars gambled away while on shore
A stepmother nicknamed 'Satan'
The life of fast bikes, fast cars and loose women that killed him

I'm in, too!! And, yes, Sig is particularly pissy this season. I'm liking it so far and I'm actually keeping up with the episodes.

Did Elliott have a drug addiction last year?

One of the Harris boys is still f'd up on drugs.

Elliot didn't have a drug problem, as far as I remember. He was just a general prick. Remember wife, or gf, was breaking up with him and he had all sorts of drama over that? His crew hated him, he was bossy and unfair and in addition never caught any fish. He stayed out in the hurricane too long because he was so stubborn.

This year is less interesting. Weather has been too good. But Edgar got the boat at last! Course in real life, i bet Sig called every five minutes.

That Harris brother was really a mess, did you see his face? I think there is a whole lot of drugs and drinking among the type of people who do this work. Can you blame them?
