So did anyone tune into this last night? I admit that as a fan of Top Chef, I was really intrigued with the concept of this show, but I almost didn't tune in because Bravo's insane hyping of it turned me off. However, overall I did like the first episode and find the whole concept of the show really interesting. I like Restraunt Wars on Top Chef, I like travel programs, so I found it pretty interesting.

But my biggest complaint, and it's big enough for me to really ruin the whole thing, is the elimination process. Having the losing team vote off one of their team members really sucks. Last night they voted off a person whose dish wasn't even mentioned among the team's worst dishes. I feel like all we're going to see are people voting off the strongest competitors. I don't even understand the role of the judges. If the winning team is based on the feedback of the locals eating at the restaurant, and the elimination is based on the competitors....what exactly are the judges doing other than eating?

The concept is good, but the show needs tweaking.

the first 20 minutes was a waste for me. why make it a race? I know they need to have a handicap, but that whole pub crawl turned me off.

i liked the Black guy who was MVP. Not sure if the dessert was his idea or not, but the guy who was all bent out of shape about it was a tool so I'm a'ight with it. Seriously who calls themselves Chef-Van or whatever the fuck his name was. I also liked the gay Mrs. Garrett.

The chunky India w/ bad grammar (who thought she was sexy) annoyed me.

And why are Curtis AND Cat there if they aren't judging. Ditto with the celebs chefs.

Oh and Nookie - get overyourself...call me when you can do a TH in a shirt that *isn't* moth eaten. Loser.

Finally watched both episodes. I like the show..although I agree that the elimination process is ridiculous.

The dude with the giant nostrils and Nookie can both go.

I DVR'd all the episodes (Had to watch Revenge!) and I like the show, however, I totally agree with the comments on the elemination process, as well as why are Cat and Curtis there? Tough job for them, travel the world, eat amazing food and look good on tv. How do I sign up?

Avery is beautiful, I mean, really could be a model. And 2 kids on top of it.

Chaz is a douche, trying to always take credit for what isn't his.

I don't know if I can watch the remaining episodes after, once again, the best chef on the team gets sent home because of a pact his teammates made. The best part was Liz singled out for making the best dish despite Jenna trying to convince everyone that her dish was awful, and John winning immunity.

Well, at least Nookie didn't win. I think with some tweaking, the show could be much better.

I enjoyed it (but then I watch just about anything) but I agree, a little tweaking and it could be better.
I'm glad Avery won, though.
