I don't know if that's good news or bad. That show sucks up so much of my summer as it is, lol.

I know! It's starting earlier too.

The thing is, SOMETHING big must be up, since they changed the days and the times to take on the AGT juggernaut.

I wonder what it is?

It must be summer because I saw my first BB ad of 2013 this weekend. June 26th. Mark your calendar and clear your schedule Mariah. Every year I say I'm not going to watch and every year I do to some extent. I'm sure this summer won't be any different.

I mean it this year! I may not even watch the broadcast show, just so I don't get sucked in.

I am NOT wasting another summer, and I have no self control whatsoever when I start watching those feeds.

Someone please stop me if I'm tempted!

Lol Mariah. I got started on this one year when Mr. Cosmo was gone for almost the entire summer. Then he was only gone six weeks. Then he was home and I tried to get him in on it with limited success. He would watch the broadcast show but not Showtime AD - which I would record and either FF in the morning getting ready for work or turn on if I couldn't sleep. I only did the feeds one year - but I agree it was addicting. Depends on the cast though. I'm tired of all these retreads; it's time for some fresh blood.

I gave up BB for good last year. Got so sick of the cast and the retreads and the producer manipulations. Rachel particularly got on my nerves, and Jeff and Jordan. So I think I can bypass this year entirely unless I get really bored.

Well if you guys aren't watching then I'm not either. I only had one other person I watched it with and she quit last year like you weaver. I'm not making any promised though.

i'm watching - I don't get into the feeds at all. I tried (With Mariah's help) last summer, but i just can't get into watching it live and unfolding organically. I will take the narrative that CBS wants to give me.

That's my problem (one of them) with the show. The feeds are the only part that interest me. The only reason I even watch the show is to see how they spin stories out of raw footage (sometimes quite different stories that what actually does happen) and the competitions which they block on the feeds.

Of course some of what happens in the house really can't be shown on network TV anyway. Sex, some of the fights, oh heck, a lot of the stuff just is represented in a boring way on the show, or shortcut into not even making sense.

I heard that Big Brother After Dark has moved from Showtime to the TVGN which means it won't be live, there will be commercials, and it's two hours (which really means 90 min after commercials) of "curate" feed. In other words, edited. But free if you don't have Showtime.

The feeds are moving to CBS.com - so you can watch them (with subscription I'm sure) on anything - computer, smartphone, ipad, ipod, etc. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do - usually I watch a week or so of BBAD and decide but I'm not interested in edited feeds or any show on the TVGN - too distracting.

I've purchased my feeds. I"m ready!!!!!! $23.99 for the entire season isn't bad at all. And you don't have to cancel it as it'll be automatic unlike you used to do and would forget to do therefore getting charged every other month for it. There's not supposed to be any returning house guests either. And that means you Jessie, Mr. Non-Pectacular.

That's a really good price Cajun. I particularly like the idea that I can watch them wherever too, although I guess it's always been like that but I didn't have those devices before.

No returns sounds good too. I'm not going to lie though - I'm going to miss BBAD on Showtime though. I don't have much interest in TVGN and commericals.

We'll see what CBS does. Well, you guys will. I'm still trying my best to resist. No returning players tempts me though! The edited BBAD sounds like a joke though. Good price though, and I just hated the repeated calls to cancel those feeds before.

It's just TOO addicting for me. All of the best strategy and really good stuff happens late at night when some are asleep. I end up staying up until 3 or 4 AM. Will the CBS site have flashback? That was a great feature, helped with sleep, since you could read the feed reports and know to flashback to 2AM feed 3 during the day when everyone is just laying out or doing nothing.

I wish this show was on in Winter, when the days are short and on the coast it's probably rainy outside. As it is though, the long and usually sunny days coincide with Big Brother--at it's one or the other for me.

If I had any self control at all, I could do both. Obviously I suck at that though, and this time I am REALLY trying to choose summer.
