After Thursday's excellent (maybe in my top five) broadcast episode I fired up the feeds to watch the sickening bed-flip followed by racial attack of the Aryan Nation. It gave me a stomach ache. Not because I was shocked by the blatant racism as much as I was shocked by the young age of the racist(s). I would expect people under 30-35 to be more evolved by now. And it hurt to see how wrong I would be.

Tonight, Aaryn is insisting to Spencer (Spencer? Whaaat?) that she isn't at all racist; hasn't said or done anything that could be remotely construed as such and if 'people like that' want to make up lies about her why don't they really do some damage and call her fat. I think she honestly believes that. I have no words.

I thought this was a really good post by BarryR24 on the Tw 0p live feed thread that I think is good enough to put here, especially the last paragraph. It's about the aftermath of the bed-flip scene with Candice and Howard and why there was no way the DR would allow Howard to be nominated this week:

Quote:

Start the sequence with Aaryn flipping over Candice's bed. Candice comes in and the fight starts with her and Aaryn. They probably ignore GM's blatantly racist confrontation with Candice, since Aaryn is the official CBS scapegoat for all the racism in the house (see The View conversation if you doubt that). Stick in a bit of Amanda's confrontation with Aaryn (TPTB like Amanda a lot, this bolsters her and was a good moment). Then Howard drags Candice out of the room. leading to Howard fighting with Candice about what a black man in America has to deal with, followed by Howard's emotional solo sequence. This is the greatest dramatic sequence in the history of BB. Frankly, as a former writer, I can tell you that any TV series would be proud to have written it. [I think that following] that with Howard being nominated [snip] would be a nightmare for them.

No, Howard doesn't get nominated. Howard is a hero and Aaryn is the villain and that sequence combined with Aaryn's eviction takes the curse off the show. Never mind that the widow Zimmerman and Spencer (Nazis did good stuff) Clawson are just as bad, all anyone outside these boards will talk about is Howard/Candice and Aaryn's eviction and scathing interview - including some of the most biting goodbyes ever taped.

[I don't believe that this is] about BB15. CBS and AG don't care who wins that (or shouldn't). The conversation/argument between Candice and Howard vindicates BB. [I think that it] doesn't just vindicate this season and the foul casting, but its very existence. For that scene is something white America doesn't get to see. We may see it in a movie or, more likely, a play, but not in real life. The pain and frustration as a black woman watches a black man emasculate himself (in her eyes), for fear of doing something which will destroy his life, simply saying "yes sir" to racists who have power over him. I feel privileged to have seen that scene. I am so glad it was on BBAD, not just the live feeds. We've seen the casual racism in life (and in GM's "you gonna go all black on me?", not so casual), but we never see the aftermath. CBS should put this entire thing on their web site, so America can see it. Hell, it's even a good advertisement for their live feeds, if they want to look at it that way.

UPDATE: By the way, the post had 13 likes (almost never get more than one in that thread) and several people posting how good it was. But apparently that fucker Ho of the Ward edited the post (from the time I first read it until earlier this evening) for "boards on boards" and "posting opinion as fact." THAT's exactly why I rarely post over there. In response BarryR24 posted this:

Quote:

To 111288 and Beebee111, thank you for the ackowledgement of my work, To the 13 of you who gave me an "up" vote, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Beebee said he couldn;t have written it better himself, but apparently everyone didn't feel that way. When I went to post again I found that I had a warning from TWoP Howard, who completely misinterpreted parts of my post. While I consider that regrettable, his choice to edit my writing is more than regrettable, it is offensive to me. As a professional writer, I choose my words carefully, I do not want them changed by someone I do not know. I understand now that moderators here have the right to edit posts on whatever whim strikes them, which is their right, as it is their site, not mine. Unfortunately, I do not post on sites that edit my work. So I shall refrain from any future posts here.

Again, thanks to those who provide the updates, I look forward to reading your work.

Shopper, hamstertime.net is a good site to read live updates on the live feeds, etc. too. It's good when you can't watch but can read (on your phone, etc.) As of last year you have register but it's not a big deal. I've never posted over there but I do read.

That is such bullshit and it's EXACTLY why I don't go to that horrid place.

I thought one of the most powerful things I've ever seen was Howard trying to get himself under control in the Have Not room.

The scene that made me cringe the most was Howard sucking up to Aryan for no reason (her power was gone as HOH) and telling her she is not a racist, and THEN going on to blame Candice and Amanda for the trouble.

Oh and I'm sick of Amanda being the spokesperson because she ALSO told Aryan she was not a racist, and Amanda has said some pretty awful things herself.

One reason I go to Sucks is that moderators don't ever edit posts unless they delete the whole things and write something like "I'm an idiot" before issuing a post restriction or the VERY rare banning. They've probably only done either of those things to 5 people in the last 5 years. Well, those and spammers selling something. The only real rules are not posting personal information about other posters or their families, and "no pink" (nipples, penis, full vulva--that kind of pink.) You can tell a mod they are full of shit and go on to explain why and not get banned there. (Although I've never seen a bad mod on that site.)

That poster on TWOP captured it and wrote beautifully, and fucking TWOPHoward is disgusting.

I just can't get into Sucks Mariah. It's too hard core for me :) Maybe I'll give it a whirl tonight - there is nothing on TV. And goodness knows I ain't going to the gym...though I should..maybe I will.....nah..
Sucks IS hardcore, Shopper- and I don't post, just read- but Mariah is right ; the info at Sucks is AMAZING and they don't miss a thing. My heart just broke for Candice and Howard last night. First time I ever sobbed/cried watching BB.
I just read- I don't think I even HAVE a name-lol. But seriously- they do NOT miss ANYTHING they say. Definitely my "go to" place to find out what I missed. This year, JOKER'S "updates" are pitiful and pathetic- conversations are rarely transcribed, houseguests are mixed-up- it's a MESS.

For me, and I know I've said this before, it's that I can't stand passive aggressive bullshit AT ALL. (thus my dislike of Jason.)

On TWOP that is what they use constantly, couching things in nice ways that makes me want to punch someone.

On Sucks, the aggression is straight out there where you can see it, ignore it, or call someone on it, or wait for someone else to do it. It's also so common it's pretty much lost all sting for me. There are very few posters "off limits" for attack, a mere handful I'd say, and some of those are because they will DECIMATE you with words if you try. ;)

There are always people who are going to dislike your posts, no matter where you post. On Sucks, I know right away, and I know the ones that hate my guts, but they are also usually the ones that others can't stand either. It's an odd mixture of ignore, stand your ground, or kill them with kindness if they are worth it.

But yeah, the information there, and the chops are fantastic. The live feed reports thread isn't that great anymore, because of flashback and two of us just stopped doing it. But the flashback thread is catching most of the good stuff now. It's just so much fun to post there when things blow up! Almost 200 pages in one night when everyone went nuts.

Heartbreaking show, but very well done.

EXCEPT they keep giving Helen credit for things that Judd, Candice, and Andy have done. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I saw that but at least they did give Candice credit for putting everything together about TMC. Helen took a lot of credit for stuff herself. I'm over her. How fake did GM's crying over Nick seem?

Judd! Judd! Judd!

Judd and McCrea are the only two I like at this point. I'd love Amanda to go, so these two can be a solid alliance to the end. Helen went overboard yesterday, its way too early to take on everybody, take credit for everything, etc. I see the politician in her. Howard lost it for me kissing up to everyone. Spencer is slime.

Andy is OK, at least I haven't turned on him yet.

Somebody found some racy rap videos of Kaitlyn yesterday. Guess that is how she pays the bills. I didn't bother to look them up. Are there no other options for young pretty girls in Minnesota, I mean Hollywood anymore?

Lol Mariah. I love those.

Hey, do you guys think this showmance/friendship between Amanda and McCrae is real? Last night she told McCrae she was 'afraid' because she thought she might be really falling for him and I can't tell if she's lying or not. I don't really see the advantage if she is lying. But she's going to be awfully disappointed she finds out he really is a pizza delivery driver. I hope she is gracious about it.
