Yeah, I guess she couldn't continue without her "6 figure" income from Ad Sense.

http://www.mustat.com/jokersupdates.com (Basically, it costs her $40 a day for the server)from mustats.com

The amount of bandwidth used by Jokersupdates is 5.246 GB per day. Thus, we estimates that jokersupdates.com uses a total of 1 server(s), with a cost of $40 USD per month.

so the $2500 they have from donations so far they have over 5 years of hosting paid for.

This was copied at Sucks, the posts Jokerette took down.

(long, so in spoiler tags)
Spoiler: click to toggle

Who knew message boards could make SO much money? YUKU which hosts Sucks could be sold for over $4 million BTW. That would suck.
http://www.mustat.com/yuku.com

Yuku.com gets 285,134 visitors per day, is worth $4,683,321 and has an overall rating of 67/100.

The amount of bandwidth used by Yuku is 119.498 GB per day. Thus, we estimates that yuku.com uses a total of 4 server(s), with a cost of $1,400 USD per month.

Yuku.com earns $855 USD a day in advertising revenue. Income from CPC banner ads is $312,075 USD per year. Yearly income from CPM banner ads is $52,037 USD. If the website was up for sale, it could be sold for $4,683,321 USD.

I don't know either, but it all seems like a scam to me. It costs $40 a month for her server, why does she NEED a 6 figure income to carry on? All of the information I have is in that long back and forth under the spoiler tags.

So she's got a few thousand now. I'm just glad she's not closing down. Sucks has already been invaded by complete idiots, we don't need more.

Apparently all the bedrooms are supposed to represent the 4 elements Wind, Water, Fire, Earth. So Ice must be the HN Room, since the HOH bed is a bird's nest.

It was announced today by Host Julie Chen on “The Talk” that BIG BROTHER will debut its most “twisted” season ever during its special two-night premiere on Wednesday, June 25 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and Thursday, June 26 (9:01-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. As previously announced, this season of BIG BROTHER will air in HD for the first time.

During the premiere, Host Julie Chen will announce details of two new twists and the new competition for the season.

In the first twist, two Houseguests will win the coveted role of “Head of Household” (HOH) each week, which still comes with special privileges, including a separate suite inside the house. Each HOH will have the responsibility of nominating two fellow Houseguests for eviction every week; however, for the first time on the series, earning HOH will not guarantee one’s safety in the game for the week.

With the second twist, fans will have a unique opportunity to significantly influence the game from home with a new interactive element called “Team America.”

In addition, this season of BIG BROTHER will introduce an entirely new high-stakes competition, “Battle of the Block,” which will dramatically shift the power in the house each week.

“When the Houseguests learn about the new twists, they will need to throw out any pre-existing strategy if they want to survive in the game,” said Allison Grodner, Executive Producer of BIG BROTHER. “The new Battle of the Block competition will shake up the power in the house like never before. A Houseguest can go from zero to hero, or vice versa, every week!"

This season, the BIG BROTHER Houseguests will live in a whimsical urban tree house-themed dwelling. The living room features a 20-foot-high wood tree sculpture, and wood panels that give the illusion of peering out into the world from inside the tree. The theme continues with the dining room’s branch-bound chairs and the kitchen’s butcher block island made from thick slabs of eucalyptus trees. Nestled above the living room is an actual tree house shack where the Houseguests can play chess. The Head of Household suite includes a giant bird’s nest for the bed and a wall lined with nearly 1,000 bird houses. Also, the bedrooms’ décor is based on the classical elements earth, wind and fire with the bathroom’s theme being water.

Following the two-night premiere, BIG BROTHER will air Sundays, beginning June 29 (8:01-9:00 PM ET/PT), Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), and the live eviction show hosted by Julie Chen on Thursdays, beginning July 3 (9:01-10:00 PM live ET / delayed PT).

BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 76 HD cameras and more than 100 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, the Houseguests will vote someone out of the house. At the end, the last remaining Houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000. BIG BROTHER is produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol USA.

Explanation of how the twist will work from mortystv:

Quote:

In Big Brother 16, the house will be divided into two teams, eight HGs on each team. One person from each team will win HoH each week, meaning there will be two HoHs, Each HoH nominates two people for eviction, meaning there will be four nominees on the block at a time. Then the two team compete in a new competition called "Battle of the Block," and only one team will emerge victorious, and the other team's two nominations will remain on the block, and that team's HoH will be stripped of their power and safety. The winning team will be safe, including the two nominations and the HoH. The winning HoH, the two nominees and three players selected by random draw will then compete for the Power of Veto. The winner of the PoV can leave the nominations the same, or take someone off the block and replace them with anyone they want, including the losing team's HoH. [I'm not sure if the PoV winner, or the HoH gets to select as before, but it was written that the PoV winner does the selecting, so we'll just have to wait and see.] The one of the remaining two nominees will be voted out as usual.

Cast photos are up on CBS! So far, ALL NEW PEOPLE! Although one is a famous singer's brother, Frankie Grand, and he has 550K twitter followers so America's vote might be tainted. Apparently a huge fan of BB.

I am so tempted now!Posted Image

I like Matt Hoffman's take on them:

The most readable of all the new houseguest pre-season intros.

We have a new racist, homophobic, sad that he didn't get to kill anyone while deployed, animal clubber on the show this year.

Interesting info Mariah. I think this is calculated by CBS based on the good ratings last season. I thought it odd that blue hair led w/ her I'm the most liberal of liberal shtick...I bet that was prompted by CBS. It was so odd as an opening package. They are itching for a showdown.

Opinions tonight..meh.

I'm pretty meh on it, and hate the twist of America's team. Pink hair will win every vote out there, since his sister has 16,000,000 followers or something, and is tweeting about him constantly.

I still haven't bought the feeds, I may actually make it this year, and only watch the show!

Of course I caved and ordered feeds today :( Too many twists- I agree- but I really liked the show and I really like Team #1. Cody is, like, the first NJ reality person that's relatively normal, and I adore Donny so far. Frankie wasn't as bad as I expected. Pleasantly surprised by tonight, but I said that last year, too.

I watched tonight cold - meaning I hadn't read any press about the Houseguests. I texted my niece as soon as Frankie Grande introduced himself and she knew exactly who he was and "omg, he's on Big brother!!?" The guy has over a million followers on youtube so of course any "America votes anything" he will win. The sister is a big deal according to my niece but her fan base is almost all tweens and teens (my niece is almost 14 going on 24.)

I keep telling myself I'm not going to get into it - last year was soooo gross I still have a bad taste in my mouth from it. I should just face the fact that I'm going to watch. All my other shows except the hws are over for the season.

Mariah, I skipped the feeds the last two years and just taped BBAD. It was good when it was on Showtime, now it's on the TV Guide channel (wth?) so it has real commercials. I record it and then FF through most of it.

I confess I have no understanding of what the twist is - I didn't understand the America's Alliance thing either.

Mr. C watched with me and made a good point - the prize money has not changed in 16 seasons. $500K in 2000 equals at LEAST $700K (inflation) in 2014. I guess CBS is cheaper than I thought.

Yikes, they dragged out that opening. Don't know about the feeds, I'll decide after tonight's show. Several of them are on my last nerve already, including the famous brother, and the house itself gives me vertigo.

So there will be a new comp, between two teams, after the HOH comp and before the POV comp? Too much. Maybe they'll cut out the food comp which was getting pretty ridiculous.

The blue haired woman is 27?????? I'm sure that whole "I'm a liberal" thing is a CBS setup for drama.

I'll check after tonight.
