I thought 48 million was absurd, until they said Ellen Degeneres' place had just sold for over 50mil. I still would never, never pay that much for any house anywhere, but people who can afford that are not as bugged as I am.
Ellen has probably made more on flipping homes than she has in her career.

No house is worth that kind of money. Things have gone insane.

Yes, 48 million is absurd, of course. Didn't Mohamed (however you spell his name), Yolanda's ex, appear on this show last season and want to list his house at 68 million? (The house shown on RHoBH) I don't think that went anywhere but I think Mauricio wanted/got the listing on RHoBH?

They are crazy houses with huge spaces and probably multi-million dollar upkeep costs per year plus the staff needed plus taxes. I guess only people who have hundreds of millions or more could really "afford" them.

I like Madison, he will be missed, but good for him.

I don't know why one of the new guys needed to say he was such a player in England, got his girlfriend pregnant and married her. Aren't some things private?!?

Kyle looks like a real bitch in the preview for next week when Josh Altman sends over the bottle to their table - she's sneering at him. Mauricio doesn't need her protection and it's business. I think she's reacting for the Bravo cameras.

ETA - Alternatively, she's just that bitchy.

Poor Mauricio, playing second fiddle to Josh Altman and his rat pat mannerisms.

I'm really tired of the Brits and Josh Altman. I was happy when Heather locked him out, even though it was just for the cameras.

BTW, Altman, if you think your wife being "jealous" of your relationship with your brother is funny, you might as well invite your divorce attorney to the wedding.

I caught up on this week's today. Wonder why Josh Flagg couldn't sell the Chandler estate, if as Josh Altman says "it sells itself."

I can't tolerate the slimy Brits and their equally smarmy developers who want to make a quick $10 million by building some horrendous monstrosity where a perfectly good house stood. I watch these scenes hoping that the market tumbles and this developer loses his shirt. When is enough enough? $50 million? That is just crazy.

Can't stand Josh Altman either. Is this a phony plot re Heather? Don't much care.

I love Josh Flagg still. I think he has respect for the homes he sells. Sorry his grandmother died, I hope we see her in a couple of more scenes before the season ends.

Did Josh Altman really sell the Chandler Estate for $10.6 million? How much did it really sell for and how long did it really take to sell it?

And the Josh/Heather relationship? It has to be all for show. She doesn't appear to want to really be near him. Ew! I wouldn't either! And talking about Heather, she needs to stop now with the botox/fillers. We've got duck lips!

I agree about Josh/Heather. She looks completely different from when she was supposedly Madison's secretary. I do miss Madison; I like to see beach houses.

It was puzzling to me that Josh Flagg didn't sell the Chandler estate, so now it makes sense. Trouble is, as beautiful as that interior was, most people now don't want that kind of stuff. I always remember reading about parties at "the Chandler estate."

No one has to keep the estate as it was, once they're owner they could dismantle it and sell the pieces -- those doors that belongs to Mozart (supposedly) come to mind.

I wanted some explanation about why Josh Flagg didn't sell it, so I'm glad to read this. Thanks CajunMama!

Heather has obviously had some work done, but she's worked OUT, too and has a rocking body. I think she's too good for Altman, who is a narcissistic ass and who will end up divorcing her at some point and will fight for custody, etc. I think she should run for the hills.

OMG, that developer from NYC, Zach, so obnoxious. I'm just so sick of all these greedy fools. And the woman from England, I do hope that was a script. If she was looking at $50mil houses, surely she could afford a private plane.

I'm only interested in Josh Flagg and his grandmother. Guess she is in her final days in the show. I would love to see her again.

I hate that unemotional bastard. I never noticed when he was with Fredrik, because Freddie is so over the top. But with the Brits he was duller than dishwater -- even compared to those two milquetoasters.

And did you notice how tight his pants were? He doesn't have the body type to wear such tight pants; it looked as if he could hardly walk. He was trying so hard to be cool and trendy. I bet he is a huge SOB in real life, all those developers are.

I think you're right. He's also a modelizer, looking at his girlfriend. Just by being on both franchises, we know he's also a famewhore.

The last show was so sad, about Edith. What a character she was. I felt so sorry for Josh, mitigated by the fact he can afford to live in The Four Seasons for 3 or 4 months. Didn't quite understand what was wrong with his house and why it bothered him to stay there.

As for the Brits and the other Josh, they can go away. I thought Madison looked dreadful in his walk-on, he looked 10 years older. What happened?

I think the house was a reminder that he left Edith in her last few months. He blamed the house rather than blaming Colton or himself which is smart in the self-preservation camp. I thought he said Edith left everything to him, so yes, he can afford the Four Seasons, easily!

I was crying. I liked her a lot and she certainly loved Josh and he loved her. That was lovely to see.

I'm not sorry for Altman. Heather needs to smarten up and move on. But she won't. She likes the fame, too.

I've watched some older episodes of LA recently - guess they were rebroadcast. I don't like Josh Flagg much as a person. I do like watching him negotiate and deal with clients. He's got a great sense about real estate, and an attitude to match.

My DVR also picked a bunch of NY episodes up. Watching them and comparing them, they spend way more time on the LA real estate and views than the New York real estate. Way more. I guess coastal and expensive LA properties look better on screen. Wish they spent more time in NY - not Ryan's ballroom dancing and anything about Luis - but more time in the properties for sale.
