That's a good point and something I hadn't thought about. I watch all these shows, though I missed most of Miami after I realized IT SUCKED. I love Josh Flagg. LOVE him. He's the reason and inspiration for me putting my nephew in a tuxedo for every birthday, since his first. I had just seen Josh Flagg on the first season of MDL-LA wearing a tuxedo for his birthday and saying "I always wear a tuxedo on my birthday" and for whatever reason it struck me as a great tradition. So I owe it to him. I'm so sad that Edith died, but sadder that Josh and Colton moved out of the condo when she had only a year left to live. They didn't know that, but they should have guessed; she was over 90! I'm sad mostly for him, though. HOWEVER, holy batman, he inherited a LOT OF MONEY from her and her condo … he's set. He already was, but now he's …. Josh Altman has to be the biggest asshole ever. I hate him, loathe him, FF past his scenes, especially if Heather is in them. What a disappointment she has turned out to be. I miss Madison. Watched the end of an old season and there he was … so smart, so good-looking, so nice. I liked Chad Rogers, too. Yeah, the SF show was fun, good agents. But always men. Only one woman so far on the Miami show who was not a top agent, so didn't know what she was doing, IMO. Once in a while they had Marissa of RHOBH on the MDL-LA show and that was enjoyable. I have to say, so many of the properties look alike to me. In NY more than in LA, but all the new construction = cookie-cutter and boring. ETA: BTW, so sorry to hear that Frederick and Derrick of MDL-NY are not having a baby -- their surrogate miscarried twins she was having for them. Frederick says he cried and cried … and I feel so sad. He really wants to have a daughter. I want it for him. Edited by IcyAll, Sep 17 2015, 12:25 PM.

I caught up on a couple of LA shows yesterday. The whole Josh Flagg thing still puzzles me. Now he is going to renovate Edith's apartment? You know he was never really going to live in that little house. The Altman/Brits feud seems so scripted. Altman in general seems scripted. Who has a client that wants a house in one day and then rejects almost everything? I just wish they'd stick to real estate porn. I miss Malibu houses. I laughed when I saw the "Persian" houses; guess nobody is from Iran anymore. I'm really tired of these cold looking sterile modern things. They don't look homey to me. I like Jeff Lewis' style so much better, modern but comfy. Edited by weaver, Sep 20 2015, 06:26 AM.

The Brits need to go. Surely there's agents who would do the show with a lot more charisma and warmth than these 2. |

I know, they are terrible. And last year they were starting slowly down in the beach areas and now they are in the exclusive areas suddenly. And the fake fight, puleeeze. And the selling three houses to the same developer puleeze. And they are always screaming. Course I'm always sick when I see developers grabbing everything in sight, tearing it down, and building monstrosities. Just show us real estate and forget these silly plots. I'd like to see some of the old Hollywood mansions, if any exist anymore. |

Agree! They are not fun to watch. They complain a lot. It's not good TV! Icy, I seldom disagree with you, but I will about Josh Altman. He is a jerk, for sure, and he's cocky and not someone I would ever want to date or be friends with. But, he has a tough skin and is good with the difficult sellers. He holds his own. I don't mind watching him. He's kind of fascinating - nothing like I would ever be like, but something I can learn from, maybe? He's got an edge to him. I would rather watch him than the Brits. Josh Flagg is ok. He's pretty honest about everything. I like Colton, he seems like a kind person. I miss Madison! But I understand his walking away from this. He doesn't need it. Neither does Flagg, but he participates for a reason. I think he's a bit of a famewhore. That attitude fits in fine on this show. |

Altman reminds me of a ratpacker. The way he is always adjusting his cuffs and holding out his pinky when he drinks his highball. Lol. |

This week's show was a little better. It was nice seeing the Brit with his family. I hated that house Josh Flagg was selling. It was so cold and sterile. You'd walk in and say its beautiful, now where can I sit? Everything is so hard edged and unapproachable. And the Wallace Neff heirs took the most money, what a shock. Sentiment down the tubes for $$$$. I can't even remember what the Altman bros sold at the moment' oh yeah, that was the Neff house. The whole plot of the Brits selling that house with the buyer gone off to Russia for three weeks made no sense at all. Geez, that broker didn't dress for the camera, did she? I'd like to see an old style house that is warm and comfy but still up to date as far as modern technology. Is there such a thing anymore? |

I feel it's more and more scripted. I was not convinced at all by the glitter bombing. Josh was wearing something he could easily change, not one of his nice suits and the way he took the package was so contrived. He knew, he agreed, it's a plot line the producers came up with. Even Heather happening to be there and taking pix -- all set up. Which is SO DISAPPOINTING. But then, they're real estate guys, not actors. I don't like the David half of the Brits at all. The James half, despite his Bolivian bombshell wife who he fell for "instantly" (that's the only way any one ever falls for a bombshell) is slightly more okay with me. I continue to love Josh Flagg because set up or not, he doesn't give a shit. Altman, Freely, continues to bug me because he cares too much. He said he sold $220 million worth in the last six months after Flagg said he sold $160. Meanwhile, Altman was counting his agency's income; not his alone. I'm guessing. Or at least, counting his and his brother's take together because they're partners. I'll bet before they brought on the fake brothers (Brits) the Altmans pitched Matt joining the show full time. Must piss them off the show went with the other guys and Matt just gets to show up once in a while. Meanwhile, they probably didn't tell Heather they pitched Matt to Bravo, HA. I hate the places, too. Modern, like that 19M house, are not my style. I didn't think it was amazing. I like walls, too. The open glass doors and open air living rooms? I'd hate them, because I'd never feel safe. I want to be able to lock everything up in such a way a heavy rock can't crash into my home. Especially up in those hilly portions, because there are wild animals. FINALLY, someone said "Jennifer Aniston. Well, she's owned houses everywhere" because yeah! We always hear her name! |

I've seen quite a few pics of Josh Flagg sans Colton lately and he's pictured with other men. I wonder if they broke up????? |

I noticed that, too. It would be sad, IMO. |

It's almost like Josh Flagg is having a midlife crisis but he's not even near midlife. Maybe this is the way his grief over Edith is acting out??? |

He just turned 30, he said on WWHL. He could still be grieving, yes. |

This week featured another house I hated, that one that Josh Flagg and the Brits are selling together (yeah, sure). It looked like the concrete block sort of thing that the Soviets used to build. Didn't fit in with the neighborhood at all. I'd be so furious if they built that kind of monstrosity next to me. I was walking through Rockefeller Center the other day and thinking what geniuses the builders were. Everything is integrated; there is outdoor space and indoor space and huge pedestrian walkways, and places to sit, and best of all, it is esthetically beautiful. And that was built in the 30's. |
