To discuss/suggest new shows. Hope this isn't a useless tag, but thought that it would be a good place to talk about upcoming shows/suggest tv shows, reality or otherwise, in case ppl are looking for something new to watch. I rediscovered my love of Archer today. It's most definitely an adult cartoon, but it's hilarious. I think all seasons so far are streaming on netflix. |

This was a good idea, oleander. I'm always trying to figure out where to post about some wacky show I have come across! |

Ok, I'll go out on a limb here - anyone watch The Real L Word on Showtime? |

No. I remember reading about it, though, when it first came out, but I don't get Showtime. However, I do have netflix. Is it good? |

What is all the acclaim for Modern Family? I've watched a few times, and it's OK, but I don't get the awards or the ratings. At all. Meanwhile, anyone not watching Revenge already should REALLY start. They did a recap episode last night to catch you up, I'm sure it's on line somewhere. New season starts on Sunday! I read a lot of spoilers and it's going to be even better. Seriously good show. I also still like Person of Interest. Odd little show, but it's well done. |

Guess it depends on what you like, mariah. :) I enjoy Modern Family except for when the gay couple just totally GAYS it out for the entire episode. All that flamboyance is not funny to watch imho. But Ed O'Neill and Sofia Vergara are HI-larious, as is the kid who plays her son. I tried, really, really tried to get into Revenge. But it just didn't work for me. I couldn't follow the storyline. And my personal viewpoint kept getting in the way. As with Aviva and all her issues on RHofNY, I just wish that girl would see a shrink, get over her issues with everyone who screwed her over, and move on with her life. lol |

It's a reality show about lesbians in LA (and later in NY). I like some of the women and there are one or two that drive me nuts. There's a lot of sex in it. Real sex. That's not why I watch it (it's a reality show trainwreck, that's why I watch it) but I'm shocked that these women are so willing to have sex on camera. Edited by Momo, Sep 27 2012, 07:57 PM.

What a good thread topic, You know I was all over The Real L Word - but 'meh, I just can't. I tried recently with the season that just started and the women are just so insufferable. They also aren't attractive. I'm shallow I suppose, I want one extreme or the other, Ellen or Portia if you will. I DO NOT want my lesbians to be hipsters, my brain can't comprehend. Instead of Ellen and Portia it was Cynthia Nixon and her, um mate - have you all seen the ginge she's with. I just can't. I also watch Gigolos (great for snark) and I watched the Polyamory show that was right after Real L Word. I highly recommend Gigolos, the guys, well they are just something else. One is old and looks like a cheeto with bleach blonde hair. I'm excited for 666 - that's my wheel house. Any Pretty Little Liars fans? I know it's totally tween show, but long story short I ended up at a Panera this weekend watching two episodes straight. I think I'm hooked. I know a lot of gals my age (mid 30s) who are watching it. Ok, Shopper, since you're at least half familiar with the show - I CANNOT STAND ROMI. That chick is cuh-razy. Also, I wish she would lay off the weird hair and the too much makeup. |

IA about Romi. I didn't stick around, is she still w/ the creepy looking dude? Oh and the other thing that bugged me about THEM ALL even the butch ones had loads and loads of makeup on. Yuck. And it was like that pasty hipster face and eyes thing. What's the saying, the eyes looked like two piss holes in the snow. Edited by Shoppergal, Sep 27 2012, 08:08 PM.

WHICH creepy lookin dude?! That chick hopped from vag to cock and back again without a second thought. At the end of this past season Kelsey had dumped her (for being a total shithead, Kelsey was right), and Romi ran off to Vegas and married a dude named Dusty. |

LOL - the last episode I saw she was with a guy in what looked like a shitty hotel. I remember it was very awkward. She made him 'dinner' (which looked like dintey more) and he ate it on the side of the bed with a tray table. She sat on the other side of the room and just watched him eat. It was very weird. |

I LOVE Modern Family, too! Last night was hilarious with the elephant and gorilla. You just really have to catch some of the jokes. Looking forward to Revenge...Sunday night is going to be my ABC show night: Once Upon a Time, Revenge and 666. |

Oh God. That was Jay. The dude that she kept telling everyone converted her to cock because "she'd never, ever had these feelings before!" Except that she'd dated Jay before. Fucking liar, that woman. She broke up with him because (surprise, surprise) he wasn't willing to give Ro-MEMEME all of his every waking second. That woman is a fucking emotional vampire. So, she "runs into" Kelsey at a club and the two pick up where they had left off the season before (when they first broke up). They move back into together and get all into each other but Romi is still Romi and everything has to be all about Romi. So, she decides she wants to record a song and she gets in touch with ANOTHER old boyfriend of hers named Dusty (Wait, whut? wasn't Jay the cock whisperer?!) and they write a song together and he makes her sound less like an off key donkey with her warbling and oh guess what? She climbs on his dick. And Kelsey can tell it's about to happen so she wigs out at Romi (who is all "can't you just let it be MY day?!" Everyday is Romi day) and moves out before she gets cuckolded. So in the last episode of the season we flash forward 2 months and find out that Romi has been living with this dude Dusty - who, incidentally, had a girlfriend before Romi broke them up - and now they are so happy and in love (that's another big Romi thing. Every person she's ever doinked she has been madly in love with - huh?) and they're going to get married. So they go to the tacky-ass White Wedding Chapel in Vegas and get married in The Most Awkward Ceremony Ever. UGH. Edited by Momo, Sep 27 2012, 09:15 PM.
