The Chew got off to a really rocky start, but I think it's the best now, they've all found their groove with each other, and each bring something to the table. I actually love that show when I am awake to watch it. My Homeland DVD's arrived. OMG that is a good show. |

666 Park Avenue was cancelled back in Thanksgiving. Did you all know that? I guess I'll delete the 3 episodes on my DVR. They are going to show the 13 episodes that have been shot. |

They changed the last episodes at least, they ARE going to wrap up the story. |

666 Park Avenue lost me after the second episode. I don't know if was the lack of promotion or time slot or really slow mediocre writing. Probably all three. |

It lost me too. I didn't WANT to wonder about the "mystery" behind it all. I am so sick of LOST's influence on so many shows. No one is going to create websites, and look for clues to "the answer" again. LOST was a bust, they lied, we all guessed they were dead quite early and the lying producers denied it. Fool me once. Yet, every season we get more shows trying to suck the dried up teet of the LOST phenomena. I liked the actors, liked the show OK, but was annoyed that they couldn't just tell us what the hell was behind it all, and then use good writing to make us CARE, or even occasionally root for the bad guys. Still, I'm glad they are wrapping it up with the ending. That was a nice thing to do, since some really do like this show. |

I never watched a single episode of Lost, which I regretted when it was on but when it ended and everyone was sooo pissed I was glad. |

I loved the first season of Lost. And then the second season began with EIGHT episodes going over the same section of the timeline from all possible angles and I got pissed. It was clear to me that the writers were playing for time because they didn't have ONE CLUE what to do with the show. I finally threw up my hands in disgust and stopped watching it altogether. After all was said and done, it became clear to me that the show had become tortured and twisted from its original promise just to finally find an overwrought ending. No thank you. |

I loved LOST and miss it terribly and my weekly Sawyer - well not really weekly- but you know - hated the ending. Was so pissed. That's why I loved the Shield. Great ending to a series. I don't think the LOST creators were telling the truth by the fact that they did not know how they would end it. They kept saying they had it all planned out and I simply do not believe it but I must say I enjoyed the ride and then I fell off a cliff and went into a coma and cried. |

I love Tony Bourdain and Nigella. The other two? One I don't know and Malarkey is OK. |

Brian Malarkey was a contestant on Top Chef. A pretty cocky one at that. |

I remember him, and I think he was also the chef on one of the housewife shows. Apparently he's done well, according to that article. |

Okay. I watched Secrets of a Trophy Wife on TLC last night. It's not a series or anything, just one of those specials that they may make into a series if it gets good ratings. 1. What the hell happened to TLC? The learning channel my ass. Although, tbh, when I was younger, I thought TLC stood for the Tender Loving Care channel. Dont' ask. 2. I don't believe, for one minute, these hos are the age they say they are. Paula looks to be in her late thirites, and then she says she's 28? In what world? The whole thing was a snooze b/c these bitches are even more vapid and materialistic than the howives - who knew that was even possible? My favorite, favorite, favorite interactions to watch were b/w Paula I'm-28-swear-to-god and her 31 year old step son. Paula's husband, Tilo or something, is German and owns a successful luxury car dealership, and Paula has blown herself (literally, I am sure), into the position of CEO. She hates her stepson who hates her in turn. But you can tell Tilo loves his son, and being that Paula is his 4th bride, I'm sure he has learned to value his son over the for-now woman in his life. My favorite part was when Paula tried to convince Tilo that his son wasn't a 'team player,' and bad for the business, and Tilo shoots back with, 'yes, but he still sells more cars than anyone else.' I laughed my ass off. My favorite was the blond with the accent who said she first got married when she was 20 and her husband was 60, and then proceeds to laugh. I give golddiggers props when they don't even bother denying it's for love b/c they know how ridiculous it sounds. She warmed my cold reality tv heart. Layla I thought was beautiful, but, damn, that girl is botoxed and fillered to hell and back. Worth a look for any who is interested. My loss of sleep and watching garbage at 2 a.m. is your gain :) |

http://www.avclub.com/articles/the-motherf-with-a-turban,89441/ Wonderful recap of Homeland. Even if you don't watch the show, the beginning of this article is lovely, and so true for all of us. |
