I think I'm committing to The Americans. I think there's some good plotting and acting going on. I also like It's Always Sunny, but my favorite comedy now is Parks and Rec. I loved 30 Rock, I am obsessive about Louie when it's on (the Parker Posey storyline was my favorite), watch Downton and Project Runway...but they've just made too many Runway seasons, so now I just see the premise and then come back for the runway show and top 3. There are as many or more attention whores who know how to use a sewing machine as 30-50 something women wanting to be Real Housewives. The show I'll watch 'til the end if it comes on...Chopped. Food Network used to be the go-to channel for me (now it's Bravo, which makes my husband want to Elvis our television.) Also: I really love Jeopardy! - and there's a built-in snack time, when the contestants have to tell a story about themselves. Ugh. This is how bad my Jeopardy! thing is: I saw someone I went to grad school with on Jeopardy! - he wasn't terribly nice but was awfully smart, and I was bummed watching thinking, oh, that fucker's going to win, for sure, but hell, it'll be an interesting viewing. The Final Jeopardy! q seemed like a gimme...and he got it wrong. My husband was in another room and came in because I was cheering when he lost. It's the little things in life. It's not just that he didn't win...he didn't win on Jeopardy! Oh - and I can watch basically any RH show episode dozens, hundreds of times, and possibly have, which is awful. And I always get sucked into Top Chef. But to me The Millionaire Matchmaker is maybe the worst show I've ever seen. Patti Stanger and her crew are repulsive enough to me that I really feel like I can't watch. She looks like Frankenstein's monster and she's so hateful to other women, I can't deal. HA! Always. I make sure to treat myself more than 1x/year, and I think constant omelets count. Hope you watched on Thursday...my husband told me he read somewhere there would be a crazy funny scene, and boy, was there. Parks and Rec somehow captures an ideal relationship between people dating, people who are friends, and people who work together better than any drama has. I love little bits about everyone on that show. |

LOL...yep, watched Thursday. So many funny parts. I was shocked when I saw that April's husband is married to an actress in real life...can't remember her name. I heart Ron Swanson. And no more calzones for a while. Damn, Ann Perkins is so pretty. |

Oh, yeah -- Andy's married to Anna Faris. He was actually in Zero Dark Thirty. I completely adore him on the show. Rashida Jones is gorgeous. I like the longer hair on Ann Perkins. I also LOVE when scary-dirty Sewage Joe rolls up. He is very comfortable in his whole being-a-pervert status. My husband wants to learn how to woodwork because of Ron/Nick Offerman -- he's wanted to learn how to make and build things since he was a teen, but I think he's actually taking a class in the near future. Nick Offerman gives the most amazing interviews, and is of course Mr. Megan Mullally. I bet they have the most fun of any two married adults. Thinking of the show/relationships -- I was actually sad when Amy Poehler and Will Arnett announced their separation. My husband helped me fall hard for Arrested Development -- I had to start right at the beginning because I accidentally caught an ep in season 2 or so, didn't quite get it and thought I was just a dope. That show stands up to rewatching like few others. It's amazing what you catch maybe 6 viewings in - the writing is really dense. Lucille Bluth of Arrested Dev would be the mega alpha bitch on a RH show. I've told my husband that I hope to be pure hilarious evil a la Lucille when I'm her age. The actress is absolutely amazing in the role. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6HvS0pOoJc I'm having all of these fond TV memories now - sad! I also really love the BBC/PBS Sherlock. |

Wow...I did not know that!! She plays his ex-wife on the show, too, right? Arrested Development is hilarious. Aren't they making a movie, or something? Jason Bateman was on Howard Stern this week. He was a good guest. |

Yes -- Megan Mullally is Tammy 2 on Parks. I love them. He is INTO his wife, as he should be. There is finally an AD movie in the works! That rumor has been around for 5+ years and now it's actually happening. I think I saw that someone uploaded Bateman's interview to YouTube....off to look it up. Taking us OT but to RH -- I do hope when Brandi's on Stern, that the interview is uploaded immediately. It's going to be a good one. |

Camo - I'm committing to The Americans, too. I want to know what happens with that chick Annalise. She's a bit off. I never watched Parks and Rec, but it looks funny. I'm getting back in my tv watching. For a while I never really followed a show, but now that I am, I realize how much I've missed it. I used to be a huge Food Network and Cooking Channel watcher - it was all I used to watch. If anyone watches the Walking Dead, the mid season premiere is on tonight. Can't wait! Funny skit on SNL making fun of new Bravo shows - one of which was the Real House plants of Beverly Hills. ETA - anyone else watching "Girls"? It's kind of awful..but when it's over, I don't want it to end. Edited by andme, Feb 11 2013, 02:34 AM.

Bravo has a new show: Married to Medicine - i think 2 of the women are doctors and the rest are married to doctors. I think maybe they're (Bravo) scraping the bottom of the barrel. But I'll watch. I'm not even going to lie. http://www.bravotv.com/blogs/the-dish/clear-get-your-heart-ready-for-married-to-medicine Here are the women on the cast: http://www.bravotv.com/married-to-medicine Off the bat, I'm most interested in watching Toya because a woman who puts that she is getting her Masters at the University of Phoenix can't be boring. Also, FYI - my sis says she and the other female docs tend to laugh at all the pharmaceutical reps and medical sales reps because they always wear the shortest skirt suits and try to land a doc. Good for you, Toya - you got the gold! Edited by oleander, Feb 13 2013, 12:44 AM.

I saw the commercials for Married to Medicine -- woof. I may watch too though... Anyone catch 'The Americans' last night? The show is good. I really love Derek Luke - he should be in many more things. He and Keri Russell had real chemistry, though I think she has great chemistry with Matthew Rhys, too. The cat-and-mouse interplay between Philip and the FBI agent is well done I think - jumping right into that works somehow. And Margo Martindale is already terrifying. I know (hope?) that some magazine does the 'get the look' for Keri's role as Elizabeth on the show. I guess though you need amazing hair and the ability to wear a leotard/bodysuit with high-waisted jeans to properly do it. Sigh. |

That is why I always wonder about Jason. Whenever I see reps come into a docs office, they are young and pretty and female. Maybe Jason moved up the executive ladder. |

It's so good, cc. I watched, Camo! Is Derek Luke Gregory? I thought Gregory was hot. Keri and her on show husband have really good chemistry together. They're both doing excellent acting. And I love Phillip's expressions - he has the best facial expressions, ever. The ending was so sad. I guess it was wishful thinking to hope that didn't happen. |

I got caught up watching THE FACE last night when I couldn't sleep. It's on Oxygen, and has Nigel from that other modeling show, and the bitch queen Naomi Campbell, who threw a hissy fit. Not awful. http://the-face.oxygen.com/ |
