SNL had some funny skits this week. Kevin Hart was host. There was a funny skit about the little girl from Beasts of the Southern Wild becoming Pope.

Good for you Mariah - I LOVE this show. I believe it's normally Wednesday nights at 10. We don't have DVR (and are likely getting rid of cable soon -- too much $ for not enough value) so I've made it appointment TV for myself so far.

Yay, Mariah. Camo is right - it is AMAZING. The acting is just so top notch. And I fall more and more in love with Matthew Rhys with each episode. I haven't had such a crush since David Duchovny pushed all my buttons on the X-Files. Don't judge. I can't wait till Wednesday's.

Also, Camo - let me know when you get rid of cable. I can hunt up some streaming links for you.

Does anyone watch The Walking Dead? Damn, I love that show. Sunday's epi was top notch.

That so is not my kind of show but I've tapped into my inner teen (I read every Stephen King book written at least twice when I was a teenager) to connect with my 14 year old nephew. The Walking Dead is alot like The Stand only with zombies and I have to say it's pretty well done.

He had watched S1 & S2 on his Ipod via Netflix so I caught up too and a couple weeks ago I picked him up and spent the weekend watching the S3 marathon I recorded. He couldn't record them; my brother has the TV blocked to MA shows (even though he bought Nephew Call of Duty video game, wth?) so it was a great way to get some time with my nephew doing something we both liked. Upside is Nephew is now working his way through 800+ pages of The Stand, lol.

That's my long winded way to say, yes; I am watching it and even liking it - disturbing as it is.

oh, good. I thought no one was watching on the board. I'm 100% convinced the writers have no clue how to write a female, though. they're such two dimensional idiot characters.

I have some many shows that I will rent one day and watch straight - The Wire is at the top.

I never watched American Gothic either.

Love Matthew on the Americans. Love his character. Still don't like Keri's but I understand it. She looks awesome. I just find so much more depth in him and I love all the wigs. My husband who is basically blind always has to ask - who is that?

CC - are we talking about American Gothic back in 1995 - 1996? OMG. I LOVED that show. I was so freaking pissed when they canceled it. It was so creepy.

Matthew is amazing, isn't he? I love him. I want to marry him. Okay maybe not, but I wouldn't kick him out of bed ;) He's so bad ass in that show. And Keri is so cold, but she's such a good actress. And I can't get over how amazing she looks. She's gorgeous.

ha. You should watch, though, it's pretty good, though the first season is better than the second.

I love The Americans too. I'm really enjoying them rocking the 80s looks - I think it's believable so far. It's the only new show I'm watching.

Glad House of Lies is back (Showtime) but I think I liked the first season more. It's the only Showtime show I'm watching, though, and I'm sure I'm missing out on a good series.

I'm watching it, too, Freely. I still like it...but, you're right, the first season was better.

I also love Episodes, Homeland, Dexter. I've taped Shameless, but haven't watched yet.

Has anyone else watched Call Me Fitz? It stars Jason Priestley as a con man/douchebag.

I love Episodes and Homeland - but they are on hiatus. I gave up on Dexter 2 episodes into this past season. Was this a mistake? It just seems to drag on for me.

I can't get into Shameless. Or Nurse Jackie - gave that up after a season or 2.

What network is Call Me Fitx on?

I've only watched one of the Dexter's this year....lol, my dvr is full!

Call Me Fitz was made in Canada...and I think originally broadcast only on HBO Canada. I think I get it on one of my DirecTV channels..llike Audience, maybe?

Here's a synopsis:
A morally bankrupt car salesman is forced to become business partners with his inner conscience, an off-beat do gooder intent on healing Fitz's mangled psyche, one hilarious disaster at a time.

And I'm still not sure I like it...but it's different.

I enjoyed this season of Dex - it also leads into the final season. I think the season before was the weakest. I guess you can't top the one with John Lithgow. I stopped HBO awhile back so I only get Showtime. Like it better. I only sign up for HBO if they do a new curb your enthusiasm. Maybe I'll try House of Lies.

Is anyone watching American Idol this season? Not gonna lie - I tuned into see the cat fight, but color me surprised...I'm enjoying the three new judges. Randy is still a non MFin factor, but the other three. I find myself really agreeing with Nikki - Keith, I get thrown off by the Aussie accent b/c it's not evident in his singing.
