I'm taping Bates. Tell me how it is before I get into it. I'm not watching LA S though. I am just sick of reality. I can't even get into AR which I always loved.

Bates was okay. I kinda watched it, it wasn't good to draw me in 100%. But I'll watch it again next week.

Anyone watching Top of the Lake? It's a new mini-series on Sundance. I just set it up to tape. Looks really dark...but got great reviews.

The Americans was really good tonight, again. And it's on repeat next week, unfortunately.

Damn! I always forget! Thanks, it just started here luckily.

ETA, it's on again at 10, so I can watch Survivor. Yay.

Did you watch, Mariah??? I can't believe there's no new episode this coming Wednesday. The Americans and The Walking Dead make my whole week.

I did. They had to break them up I guess, or it would get boring maybe.

I honestly thought he HAD to sleep with his former girlfriend. After all, she claimed rape, and there would have had to be evidence of that aside from her bruises on face and body. Not that he wouldn't have anyway, but it seemed to me he had a built in excuse.

It wasn't clear to me, did they get the real assassin? Did he plant the bomb in the hooker to kill that scientist? I should have paid more attention!

Still, the lie was bad, and letting his wife look like a fool in front of anyone, especially his boss, was worse. She probably would have been upset and called it off even if he told her the truth though. Maybe not. "I was angry at you, and she used to be my girlfriend, I regretted it immediately." might have worked.

Guess the girlfriend WAS lying to him though, since Granny knew all about it. That, or captured. I'm guessing she was playing him, at Granny's request, both to further check his loyalty, and to have something to use against his wife. Either way, I don't think the chick was leaving the KGB.

Yeah - the German guy was the assassin, but he was able to plant the bomb in the walkie talkie thing of the FBI agent. I think. I think maybe I need to rewatch it, too.

I think you're right re the gf. I think she was a test all along. Must be a pretty lonely life, not being able to trust anyone.

Loved "Top of the Lake" and really liked "Bates". Hoping "The Americans" is on demand so I can get started and hopefully catch up this weekend.

I think I remember them announcing The American's "now available on demand" after last night's show, ranjake.

:$ I still don't know what "on demand" really means, I am TV-tech challenged.

On Demand on Comcast- my cable provider- is my favorite thing. You hit channel 1- and there's a smorgasbord of stuff you can watch- most for free. If you miss a show, like"Survivor", they put it "on demand" usually the next day- they have all three seasons of "Downton" now, all kinds of movies, new and old. I really love it :)

I know direct tv has it, but I'm always afraid I'm going to be charged for it. I think I have a mental block about figuring it out!

Mariah if you get charged thy would say first it's unavailable and you have to,sign up or click buttons to pay. My time Warner comes with all free in demand but for new movies. Cable vision you need to pay for it and it won't show they suck

CCC is right (for Comcast, too). ANYTHING that costs $- it specifically comes up and you need to agree to buy it. go for it, Mariah! I <3 it!
