Silly - we talked about this. Yes I'm watching blacklist. I like it bc I love JS and also if I miss one I don't miss the entire show. I hate that it's opposite Castle which I really enjoy and I need to catch up on. I need better 8 pm choices - that's why I DVR. Btw if you guys like British stuff there is a great show called Death In Paradise that is very popular over in the UK - kind of like Agatha Christie stories but nothing like it in design. Taped in the Caribbean. I may have mentioned it before. Very enjoyable on channel 21. I set it to tape and it has no commercials. One off mysteries with the same characters every week solving a mystery that happens on the island - say it in an island British English accent. yes man |

I plan on watching Masters of Sex but got behind and haven't started yet. I'm glad to hear someone likes it. I'm still one behind on Homeland too. |

Cosmo - it is so interesting. I think you'll like it. Tried watching an episode of Full Circle tonight. Ended up wanting Minka Kelly and Draco Malfoy to shut the hell up. Edited by andme, Oct 17 2013, 01:30 AM.

No, it's on my to do list though. That show was so much fun! I watched 3 episodes and seeing the various available houses/property and the different budgets was amazing. I was shocked that "no running water" wasn't uncommon in certain areas. |

So there is a new really trashy reality tv show with kids. The Mother of All Talent. It's really quick on demand. Here it's on TGTV or something like that and on Entertainment on Demand. Mother and daughter child managers living in Staten Island. Have fun Andme! |

Late to the convo, but Alaskan here. We watch Buying Alaska and laugh, laugh, laugh at the people who have never lived here but are gonna buy a house in the middle of nowhere anyway. They are clueless to the realities of life here! |

I loved it! I bet you guys do laugh. The episodes I saw were mostly people who live there already, but I can't wait to see some with new-to-Alaska people. That one guy who bought some beautiful place that is an hour and a half from his job was from there, but even I thought he was silly thinking it would only be 2 1/2 hours in the winter. I think he loved it because it was 40 acres and he couldn't see his neighbors, but in Alaska, I'd think that having a neighbor somewhere nearby would be prudent. Isn't 2 acres away enough? Also, if the power goes out at all, how is he going to start his car? I loved that one realtor who told some hesitant wife that having an outhouse as a back up was a good idea in case the pipes froze. ;) Tell me when it's on and you are watching Dilbert! I'd love to watch "with" you and hear the real story. |

Mariah: I can never figure out when it is on. I seem to just run into the episodes on repeat. Usually followed by Buying the Bayou, which I also watch and think, really? People want to live there? Talk about the two extremes in living! My favorite Buying Alaska were the two middle aged people who were billed as living in a small town in Alaska, who wanted to buy a place off the grid around the Homer area. The woman claimed to be an experienced rock climber, having spent 90 days on Everest. She was overweight, unsteady on her feet walking over rocks and complained about climbing stairs! All I could think was she either made up the rock climbing to make herself look interesting OR she was one of those people who paid a Sherpa to literally carry them up Everest! (The book Into Thin Air details this phenomenum.) |
