I was watching Flowers In The Attic and the sequel yesterday on LIFETIME because I was sick of war movies, and Kiernan Shipka was in the first one.

ANYWAY, they were promoting a new show during the commercials. Little Women of LA. https://celebrity.yahoo.com/video/cast-members-little-women-la-233413106.html

Yes, little people "housewives" that snipe at each other and flirt and act as BRAVO likes all of it's "wives" to act, in other words, in reactionary, embarrassing ways that we almost never see the women we know act. Frankly, I'm pretty disgusted with all of the shows that denigrate women now. Yes, still hooked on BH and NY for now. Anyway, THIS one just really made me sad/sick.

I know, but they are just trying so hard to live down to the worst common denominator. Am I being prejudiced when I say it just gave me eerie flashbacks of little people being used in circuses and freak shows?

I honestly felt a bit sick during the commercials when they were sniping at each other "housewife style." It felt like it was all for show, nothing real about it, but it also made me sad.

It starts tonight.

Mariah, Lifetime is the circus freakshow of the 21st Century and they don't restrict it to just women. Watch that channel any weekend: 600 lb people, little people with families, people who have sextuplets, conjoined teenagers, people who didn't know they were pregnant, young guys who date women 30,40, 50 years older than themselves, etc. And that's just the ones I know about.

Cosmo, the 600lb guy just died yesterday - the one from Mexico - Manuel Uribe. He was only 48. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/05/27/once-the-worlds-heaviest-man-manuel-uribe-dies/?tid=hp_mm

I loved the Virgins Getting Married one. That was a huge freak show. The girl basically sucking the guys tonsils out of his head at the reception and her dad on the balcony laughing his ass off, the groom was like "ew that's enough" and then they showed them the next day and the girl was all disappointed and the dad was like, "I'd liked to been a fly on the wall in there." Gross! The groom was clearly asexual at best. And the bride was almost hyper about having sex.

hadn't heard about that one andme.

Little Women: LA was bor to the ing. Though I'm fascinated by one of the girls. She doesn't have the bowling ball but and actually has a normal figure...she's just 4 feet tall.

A guy I went to college with is in Silicon Valley - Christopher Evan Welch. He just died - of lung cancer I think. Very sad. He has a little girl. I really didn't know him - but he was good friends with friends of mine.

Fin - I heard Mike Judge talk about him the other day. He is such an integral part of the show. Not sure how they'll handle him being gone. How sad.

When you look at his IMBD you realize how much he was in and how good he was. They have written several articles about what a great actor he was that you didn't realize he was in as much as he was. He was very theatrical the way he used to walk around campus - I always remember he wore a scarf. But like I said, I didn't really know him. His roommate died within weeks of him. Very sad all around. Both were young.

Bravo is cooking on all cylinders this Summer. I was kinda bummed it looks like no Princess of Long Island return, but this sneak preak for Game of Gowns...I die.

Ditto with the Ladies of London. Way better offerings then the stupid boat show last summer.
