+1 shopper. That's hilarious! I read over most of Wretched's blog I am actually depressed - I have actual emotion about this! - that the comments are running way, way in support of Liarface and her barely-articulated, highly-pruned 'facts.' Here's the actual fact that matters in all of this shit, dropped into the comments without even a like or a single reply:
True dat. The only other relevant fact to me is that Gretchen was not constructive with Alexis (clapping hands at the CUnT dinner, smirking when Terry made fun of her -- and that happened way before Costa Rica). I figure that Alexis being relatively harmless and having kept her secrets spurs that sense in Gretchen's lizard brain that she, Gretch, is not in fact a 'nice, happy person' but an instrumentalist bitch. The others there are hard bitches, so G can tell herself she's a better person. Choice in kings aside, Alexis does seem to be more sincere, thoughtful and kinder than G by a country mile. I don't think G likes that feeling and is lashing out like a fucking monster accordingly. |

I can't believe how mean she was to Alexis at that lunch meeting. She was as tightly wound as her power suit fit. Nary a frown or a smile. Simply a deadened, cold look. I felt horrid for Alexis whom I never liked before. |

I always thought Alexis was the 'nicest' of the OC wives. I think some of her religious views did not please the boss, so she had to be punished for a season or two. She seems to be out of the woodshed now, having done her penance. I predict little Lydia will be the next one in trouble with Andy, among other things for her "princess" putdown of Heather, which he would probably construe as vaguely anti-semitic. She'll be accused of "bullying" or some such nonsense, or it'll be something to do with her husband. Greggy Bennett already tweeted something about her "possible gay husband." As for Gretchen-- I just don't think she feels things very deeply. And she IS boring, it's amazing she's hung on this long. Edited by Mondo, Aug 20 2013, 08:58 AM.

Camille Paglia may not be everyone's cup of tea (I like her) but I think she's brilliant in her commentary on the ho's in a new interview: "When Salon interviewed you last year, you were feeling inspired by Bravo’s “Real Housewives.” Are you a fan of any other TV series out there? No, I can’t stand the bad lighting, tinny voices, snarky scripts and fake cool of today’s TV shows. Bravo’s “Real Housewives” series isn’t just entertainment for devoted fans like me — it’s an entire all-absorbing universe of pride and passion. I can watch the same episode four or five times. The series descends from tear-jerker “women’s pictures” during the Lana Turner era, which inspired TV soap operas from the 1950s on. The formula overflowed into blockbuster prime-time soaps like “Dynasty” and “Knots Landing” in the 1980s. But then daytime soap writers started to get uppity and craved respectability in the industry. They veered away from the flamboyant trash and flash that had once endeared them to their audience, and soaps committed slow suicide by boredom. It was really stupid — because by the 1990s, the mainstream audience was flocking to movies about over-the-top drag queens like “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.” Andy Cohen, the executive producer of “Real Housewives,” was a longtime ardent fan of Susan Lucci (Erica Kane on ABC’s “All My Children”), and he has always understood the soul of soap opera as a female genre — its tender emotions, ruthless rivalries and theatrical sexual exhibitionism. Soaps are a major diva mode. But beyond that, Bravo’s ace technical team has refined “Real Housewives” into a feast for the eyes. I have such admiration for the amazing camerawork and deft narrative editing — the rapid scene-setting, the revelatory reaction shots, the touches of realism in how people get out of cars or shop or order a cocktail. Too much film and TV in our digitized era has lost a sense of space. But “Real Housewives” has the old Hollywood flair for knowing how to situate bold, dynamic personalities in tangible four dimensions — from chic or glitzy interiors to exhilarating landscapes. This is contemporary cinematography at its sparkling best." |

Gracias - floved it!. She got her down pat. How many of you know people with similar personalities to her? Many here in NY and can't stand the lot of them. |

My god Jeana has the biggest mouth for someone who isn't even on the show. She's in Jill territory. And like Whori, latching onto a past relationship with Vickie to stay "relevant' in ho-wife land.

Funny, Brooks says "time for me to exit stage right" ... yeah, RIGHT into Vicki's arms. Sounds like she was taking care of her grandson for the day and Brooks was there, too. I predict the daughter will be having a melt-down and refuse to let Vicki babysit anymore. |

For sure. She knew that was going to stir up a hornet's nest by posting that. But more important to Jeana, she knew it would put her name back in the tabs. Why would she cop to having dinner with Brooks anyway? |

Kara and Jeanna are on Say Yes To The Dress. If you can catch it it's the "You're Making Me Blush" episode. |
