I didn't mind the episodes perhaps I am one of the few. I think it was needed for updates and to close out storylines. I liked roger last night. I think Diana is there to be like Don. Hurt and stuck |

I think there would be insane ridicule if Don is already dead and all this is his flash of light before the end. First of all, we've seen scenes in places where Don never goes -- like Peggy's apartment, right? Was that Peggy's apartment during the discussion of travel to Paris? So far Don and Peggy and Roger have been in both shows. I wonder who will be in all 7 when the finale rolls around. Don, for sure. I guess Peggy, too. But is Roger done? Was that the last of Betty and Henry? Certainly Sally's gonna show up at some point. And we know that Harry Hamlin filmed some scenes. Joan needs resolution and so does Pete. Wait, was Pete in both episodes? |

Good episode. Was that Weiner trying to figure out what comes next, or Don? Of course, his son had to show up again. |

I loved the episode, except I could have done without Glen. It featured all the people I've been wanting to see, Joan and her family, Sally, Ted, even Betty. And the Roberta Flack song was so wonderful. I loved that song. Interesting that Peggy's dreams involved nothing personal, it was all business. Joan's story seemed on an upward tick too. So Don doesn't know what his dreams are, but I'd say he is certainly on a positive path. He seems so mellow. I'm happy with the direction this is going. Love him in a blue shirt. And NO WAITRESS. He's out of that dull, dark apartment. He sees advertising for what it is. I was hoping the episode would go on and on. |

I wanted to add though that Sally's voice patterns were more 2015 than 1970. Where was the director? |

I like it too! Finally. Wow, Glen certainly has grown up a lot. Funny and good review: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/04/20/mad-men-forecast_n_7097932.html?utm_hp_ref=entertainment&ir=Entertainment You come to me for analysis of “Mad Men” that is, ideally, cogent, entertaining and thoughtful, so I feel the need to inform you that the show may have broken my brain tonight. “The Forecast” may have contained the weirdest scene in “Mad Men” history, and this is a show that cut a guy’s foot off just for grins. Glen Bishop. Glen Bishop, my friends. I am shaking my head and laughing as I write this. That final Glen-Betty scene was so odd and so surreal on so many levels -- not to mention so not good -- that I know I won’t do it justice. But like Mathis, I have to try to go down swinging. Here’s the thing: In a television show with actors as great and subtle as Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss and Kiernan Shipka (among others), every other actor on the screen will be held to the very, very high standard they set. An example: Think about the scene in which Sally called Glen’s house and presumably spoke to his mother, Helen. Shipka got no help in that scene. We didn’t hear the other voice on the line. There was no music. There were no cuts — just a slow, steady push of the camera right into her face. During that short phone call, she had to go from polite to panicked and sad to weepy, and make all of it work by herself. She nailed it, of course. All of which makes the Glen scenes look that much more ridiculous. Marten Weiner, at best, comes off as if he’s the eighth lead on a derivative genre show that’s about to be canceled. Shipka comes off as a future Oscar winner. Le sigh. |

I used to love Jeff Greenwood. I had a big crush on him since he was on Knots Landing. I thought he got cuter as he aged. |

He was a good match for Joan. Did you notice the California leisure suit? It's Bruce Greenwood. Edited by weaver, Apr 21 2015, 12:26 PM.

Ha, I had to look up Bruce Greenwood because I couldn't place the face or name but I knew I knew who he was. Knots! The girl who plays Sally is a great actress but I'm getting a little tired of bratty Sally to be honest. The scene with Glen and Betty was just creepy weird. |

I can't look at Bruce Greenwood without picturing him as Ashley Judd's husband in DOUBLE JEOPARDY. What an ass he was. Then he was also POTUS in the National Treasure movies. He just has this untrustworthy "you know you want to fuck me" vibe that I dislike. ETA: You know what I think when I see these new actors in the last seven episodes? Aren't you feeling SO LUCKY to get on this show before it's over? Big celebrations on viewing night, big ego props, some happy agents. Nice to have MAD MEN on your resume. But because of that, I almost wish Weiner had said "no new characters in these last episodes" because it's a commodity he could have protected. Edited by IcyAll, Apr 22 2015, 12:24 PM.
