I think it's fine, but Millie can move it if she wants. Thanks for starting it!

I really like this show a lot, surprised the cable guys passed on it, but glad I don't have to pay to see it.

Last episode was not as strong, but the rest have wowed me.

Yay! I love this show. This and The Walking Dead make my week, but now that TWD is over for the season, I lay my hopes on this show. I'm with Mariah here - last night's was meh, but the whole season has been gold so far.

FX Puts The Americans Online After DVR Snafu

By Vlada Gelman

Did you miss the end of this Wednesday’s deadly The Americans?

FX has made the episode available on its website following a listings error that caused many viewers’ DVRs to cut it off with seven minutes still to go. (It ran from 10 to 11:07 pm.)

RELATED | The Americans Season 1 Spoilers — Noah Emmerich on Stan’s Revenge

“Safe House,” the installment in question, will be available online at FXNetworks.com until May 15.

Meanwhile, some advance warning: Next Wednesday’s episode, “Only You,” will end at 11:03 pm.

“The error is regrettable and I apologize to all the loyal fans of The Americans who were cheated out of the full viewing experience of one of the most important episodes so far this season,” John Solberg, FX’s SVP of media relations said in a statement. “I hope the viewers whose DVRs failed to capture the final seven minutes of the episode will take advantage of the opportunity to watch the encore run on FXNetworks.com and see the spectacular ending.”

OMG - I knew something was wrong. We watched last night and it just cut off. Thought we missed a minute but had no previews either. UGH. Anyway, I liked the episode a lot but was not happy with the death. Love that guy. Did everyone watch yet so we can talk about it.

I think we can talk about it. How about this, I'll post a little caution here, and warn people. I think from now on we should just talk about it once it's aired though, if everyone is OK with that?

If you haven't watched this week's show and don't want to be spoiled, don't click on the next post!

(how's that?) ;)

I'm okay with that!

I was meh last episode. I like when there is more interaction between Phillip and Elizabeth. I hope the separation doesn't make it so they don't interact with each other. The sex scenes with Martha are cringeworthy.

Well, I HATE the separation. I get it, and it may work out well, but it still bugs me.

Granny stepping in last week and telling her that love and spies don't work, and a separation is so commonly a USA thing now that they could still be a spy team, perhaps a better one than one with emotional involvement kind of covered their asses on that. BUT, no way in hell will they be able to work quite as well together with that split.

I know, happy couples are boring, according the the TV script, but they could be unhappy and still live together.

I kind of trust these writers though, so we will see where it goes.

The impact of the FBI guy killing that guy in cold blood didn't really resonate with me.

I hate it, too, Mariah. I think the actors have good chemistry together, and their odd semi-working marriage is fascinating. I love Phillip, and the character seems like such a nice guy, I kinda just want him and Elizabeth to be in love, but I guess that's difficult when she's all rigid Russian. And I can't imagine the KGB just not caring that they've separated.

The FBI guy, Amadora, he wasn't on long enough to really make an impact for me, either. And why did he have a framed photo of him and the other guy - Beamon? I thought they weren't close. Kinda weird, but okay.

It was a rare "miss" for this show. I have a feeling it's going somewhere though, so I am suspending my annoyance for now.

I think the KGB (Granny) opinion was that is was much more dangerous to have them "in love" because people who are in love are unpredictable. So, when she sensed that, she deliberately broke them up after a lover's quarrel by exposing that he cheated, but more importantly, he LIED about it. Then she gave her the go-ahead to split as a couple, implying they work better clear-headed without all that mushy love stuff. A fake marriage is what the KGB wants, not a real one.

You see, I loved Amadora. He was a brilliant pitbull. I was really hoping he wouldn't die. I keep liking Elizabeth less. Just me. need to watch the end of the episode. The husband loved it as well. Just loved it. Told me over and over. He is also a history buff and said that lots of this stuff really happened. They are really doing their research well. I love F/X. Glad we get to watch something together and enjoy it besides Mad Men.

I watched the episode online -- I don't know if it's always like this or a concession because of the DVR issue viewers had, but watching F/X VOD online is wonderful -- no commercials at all.

I actually thought it was all pretty well-done -- maybe I'm too much of a fan? Amador's death did resonate with me (I agree with you, oleander, that the framed photo was a bit of a WTF moment, though). As did Stan's execution of Vlad. I'm very curious now to see what happens with the marriage -- counseling? With Elizabeth and Paige, too -- I think since there is a season 2, and hopefully a few more thereafter, Elizabeth with a sexually active (maybe) Paige will be interesting. And I'm really interested in what happens with Stan and Nina, and whether that changes Stan in his own marriage.

I think there have been so few shows about marriage that this is a very compelling show to me, along with the (apparently) fairly-dead on examination of this particular kind of spycraft -- not so much the Jennings, but the FBI/CIA pursuit of potential KGB activity on US soil.

I find their marriage fascinating. I love the interaction they have, and I hope the whole separation thing doesn't mess that up too much. I can see Paige being a little terror to Elizabeth, and I can't blame her. Phillip seems like a very dutiful dad, and Elizabeth just comes off as cold. I think it's telling that Paige picked up on that; I didn't expect them to.
