We enjoyed them episode. So who is the guy who killed Annalise? My grandma tried the same thing to my sister when she was around 3. Tossed her into the pool circa 1970.

I think that was Annalise's lover who she was spying on? Damn, it took Phillip a long time to get in that room.

ETA: Found more Annalise info:
Quote:

Annelise is married to Douglas, a Deputy Under Secretary of Defense.

She is Philip's informant and she believes she is helping Scott Berman, an officer in Swedish Intelligence.

In The Clock she took covert pictures of Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger 's office, to allow the KGB to place a bug in the office.

In Yousaf Philip decides to use her to seduce Yousaf, a Pakistani ISI officer. She is excited about working as a spy, but later gets upset at Philip when realizes that she had to sell her body for it.

However after a while of working with Yousaf, she falls in love with him. When he suggests she run away with him, she tells him the truth. Yousaf is terrified and strangles her.

I think Phillip wanted her to die. He would have had to kill her himself if Yousaf didn't.

Great show again tonight. Good recap with some great screen grabs:
http://previously.tv/the-americans/if-this-defector-likes-chocolate-bars-wait-until-she-tastes-the-rainbow/

So, Phillip or Liz will have to kill that defector, right?

Nina's only hope is that daddy has the same taste in women as Oleg.

I'm watching too. As usual, struck dumb, it's THAT good. How long do you think they can go on, undetected? Things seem to be closing in a little. I wonder what will happen with Paige?

Paige is either going to cause Elizabeth or the KGB to kill Phillip I think, or attempt it.

So many layers! SO many great recaps and reviews out there too.

No way in hell Nina would have had toilet paper in the Soviet Union though, let alone in prison!

A bunch are listed here: http://forums.previously.tv/topic/3844-the-americans-in-the-media/page-2

but google brings up even more.

The old guy warns Phillip the CIA will be watching everyone on that list very carefully, so for him to be careful. So, was the open house a trap?

Those actors may win emmies for that scene!

I love the recaps on this show, and the best ones aren't even up yet. Soon.

A couple more:
http://collider.com/the-americans-recap-season-3-episode-3/ Short, but a rave.

In what almost seemed like a throwaway scene, Stan told another agent that the way he's able to roll people is by telling them "what they want to hear, over and over again. People love hearing how right they are." The camera then cut to a television appearance by Zinaida, the defector, where she uttered lines railing against the USSR that her American audience appeared to eat up. As Stan watched her from backstage, to me it looked like he was starting to suspect something. Was Zinaida too on-message? Was she just telling America how right it is? (If so, her Milky Way obsession from the previous episode might have been an act put on to soften up her American hosts.)

Stunned!!! Don't even know what to say. I guess I just can't BELIEVE people don't watch this. Just amazing. I rewatched and rewatched as usual, but for some reason was distracted for a sec each time; do you know what location that is- the sort of mansion with the gorgeous (empty) pool? From last weeks episode?

I'm drawing a blank ranjake. ?? I bet one of the recaps covers it though. PTV usually is a "this and then this and then this happened" in a pretty thorough, occasionally witty way. Try theirs?

I know. I keep promoting the show wherever I can. People who don't watch are really missing a great show. Drives me nuts.
