Andme, you are hilarious.

I have to say though, I thought Brianna was handling the crying-baby-all-night with grace. I, yes...did not handle that as gracefully. I was bitching on FB about how to make crying-baby stop crying and people all had suggestions none of which amounted to me being able to go back to bed. So not only do you have crying baby but crying mommy pacing all night and contorting into positions to make baby comfortable. Yeesh. I really don't miss that at all.

I bet pregnancy threw her thyroid off. Going thru infertility stuff, I ended up learning how critical the thyroid is to pregnancy. I have a good friend who just miscarried twice in a row poor thing, and it's all tracking back to a faulty thyroid. I bet the hormones kick it out of wack or something.
Velvet- please don't misunderstand because I DID so feel for you- but I thought YOU were hilarious about your crying baby :) I know it's not funny when you're going thru it (and my babies really didn't cry) but your posts used to make me laugh so much.

Okay Ranjake, that's good to know, because when Mr. Velvet goes out to walk the baby he inevitably comes back and says "Oh, we bumped into ____ (insert neighbor name here) and they said they couldn't believe what you used to post on FB about the baby crying."

I always say the same thing - why is it bad that I posted about it, it's not like I said my kid robbed a bank or something, it's crying. For some reason my husband was embarrassed by it, and for other reasons which I still don't understand, many of our neighbors thought I should not be posting about it. I still don't get it, even on this side of that drama.

People did actually have some helpful ideas, but I definitely was not like Brianna. I didn't stay up with her all night. We let her whine and cry it out a lot of times. In the end - stuffing the bottle in her mouth in the crib worked. And all "the books" say to never ever do that. LOL.

A lot of People (mom's) I think just don't ADMIT things. Maybe that's why I liked it when you did. My Cousin had a crying, colicky REALLY annoying at times baby-lol- but now she acts like that never happened- as if having a baby who cried is a felony or something or made her a bad Mom. Some babies just cry a lot sometimes...

Lol Ranjake! Yeah, Velvet, you were just a bad mom! As if the mom makes the colic up to torture herself!

My girlfriend had a colicky baby living in NYC. Every time she walked him, people would give her advice (which is really aggravating after several months). One day, at her wits end, a kindly, elderly woman suggested, "Why don't you just put him on his belly." Well my friend had read all the books about it being VERBOTEN, but the woman had such a hopeful look in her eye that the advice would be taken, so my friend flipped the baby over just to make the woman feel better, and voila, the baby stopped crying. Lol.

Yeah, my point to Mr. V was, don't glamorize this. Tell people what it is, otherwise you become "that parent" who acts like their kid is perfect. And it makes other parents sit home with their crying baby and feel bad. I learned a long time ago when I had that blog that got so popular that honesty is the best policy - truly. That if you can tell people what it's really like, no matter what you're talking about, that you get more support and people rooting for you than if you lie to create a false happiness.

He'd constantly tell people, "Oh no, she's great, not crying at all anymore." Then the next day I'm posting again about it, and people really started to think I was the liar.

Vicki is always icky (tm Vicky is Icky and IckiVicki) but I felt for her a little -- it's been a long time since I've been alone for an extended period with couples, and it *does* get old. Her face seems to change from episode to episode - maybe her makeup is a culprit; she looks grey sometimes on my TV.

Tamra looked kind of awful when she had her hair off of her face to down sake with Eddie, who seems increasingly repulsed by his lovely fiance. 'Too Good To Throw' wine will be a bestseller, because Eddie will need to drink every bit of it that's bottled to slip it into her in the bath or any other time where he can't pedal away from her first.

I wish braying assmunch Gretchen would keep Slade's son's name out of her lying mouth. Indeed, the sad thing in this whole situation is that Alexis isn't spending all of her time begging Gretch's forgiveness and texting and calling her about a very ill boy who IMO Gretchen doesn't care about at all.
And now Vicky's skin is icky! That's my only consistent impression of this season, just wow. Poor Vicks.

Can someone please explain this to me:
FFTJ: You know what insanity is?
Alexis: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again with the same result
FFTJ: Different Result
Alexis: Yes different result, I knew what I wanted to say

Seems to me Alexis would be right.
The replay is on right now.

Kind of makes me sick that Slade is talking about living his life with Gretchen and talking about having kids while Grayson is in NYC hospital.

Slade makes me sick in general but using his seriously ill son (who has been very ill for a long time) as a S7 storyline makes me stabby. Gretchen needs to STFU about it already.

" I know we are sooo upset about Grayson, but that is not going to stop us from living our life and having a ball." Blech. STFU is right.
