As far as if Heather had had the advance copy instead of Aviva: same rules apply. If I wanted a friend to read my book before it was released I would give her a copy.
Oh, I agree. Same rules. Just wondering if 'Carole's' reaction to Heather would have been the same as it was for Aviva.

Andme: The thing that struck me odd about that scene is the photog showed up with a single camera around his neck. No other equipment? Not even a camera case. If he and the 'stylist' had to work through 12 different wardrobe changes AND through Sonja's visit...Oy. I hope they were paid well. Or at the very least, guzzled their weight in Ramona Pinot when they were both banished to the kitchen while Sonja was there.

I'm sure it wouldn't have been the same because Heather's motives would be different. Aviva brought it out to be aggressive and make a dig and one-up Carole. Anyway, Heather would never do that, she's so straight up, she wouldn't even sneak a read.

I feel bad for Ramona now. Fucking Mario.

As we all know, sorry to be repetitive, I am a publisher/author. Review copies of books are made available before publication to garner reviews and advance notice of the book. They are meant for serious reviewers and booksellers. It pisses off authors and publishers BIG TIME to see advance release copies of books for sale or in the hands of a casual reader. Especially the for sale part; advance release copies of books are sent to reviewers free of charge and cost the publisher. A big publisher, this is no problem. For a small publisher like me, that is money out of my pocket that I can ill afford. When I see them up for sale on Amazon, where advance copies are not allowed to be sold, I contact the seller and read them the fucking riot act. They are stealing from me. I can only imagine what was going through Carole's mind when Aviva pulled out the advance copy of her book.
Oh, Gosh- I will not buy them any more! I'm serious. I always buy the ones I see from Authors I like at the used book store- because I think they are cool. I had no idea. So it's like buying a book with the Cover torn off? (That stores then report as "destroyed" and don't pay the Author for. Thanks for letting me know...

Any book that is resold gives nothing to the author. So if it's a freebie, something that wasn't even purchased initially, it's insult to injury. I have a friend who writes psychology textbooks and she often lamented the college bookstores buying back her textbooks and reselling them -- she made nothing from that. In that case, I didn't have as much sympathy as I do for Dilbert -- because when your textbook is accepted, you're guaranteed lots of sales and those textbooks can go for over a hundred dollars EACH BOOK. And she is a millionaire from her writing and revising the editions. So … you know. Sorry, but more sorry for the writers who are struggling. ;)

Did Mario go on the African vacation with Avery and Ramona? I wonder if Ramona was really suspicious at this point. She must have wanted to kill him when he made that statement on camera. Having an agreement is different than turning a blind eye. I wonder which they had.

MMV, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that. She was really nasty to Lulu through her marriage woes. Karma, and all.

I thought...no? Not sure. Good question. I think she just doesn't want to begin again. I wonder how they feel with several media outlets consistently calling him "Love Rat"? Someone said up thread- and I meant to mention- I thought Carole was a bit too flirtatious with Mario, also. I wouldn't have been comfortable with something like that- but I know all couples are different.

**Something that bothered me from Aviva's blog last week- she said both "A Widow's guide..." and "Leggy Blonde" had done ok, but neither had cracked amazon's top 10,000. BIG lie- Carole's book- while not a bestseller- has not ever been below 10,000 and is currently like 2,700- Aviva's is like 96,000- and that's been consistent, too- so that seems like a stinking lie from Viv's . No biggie, but it bothered me.

That's interesting, ranjake. Aviva certainly loves to put her special delusional spin on things!

discomom, ITA in a big way. Ramona loved holding her marriage up and bashing Lu and others with it, and trying her damnedest to air their dirty laundry. I think she's a horrible person who has done lots and lots of horrible things over this show. I don't feel sorry for her. I'll never know, but I think she knew for years and turned a blind eye. The Love Rat smirkingly making that comment while the Bravo cameras rolled, though? That got her, at least in that moment.

I may be the only one who thinks that Sonja may be angling for her own show and perhaps she isn't as crazy as most of us think. I still like and most certainly enjoy watching her vs Aviva who I can't stand to even look at. I'm am surprised that I am enjoying model girl. She's witty and speaks her mind.

Ramona did not look good at all at her party. Oddly she was really showing her age. She didn't look refreshed like she usually does.

I'm still not done with the episode but I had to join in. Going to try to finish now but they are talking about pot on the news so I'll wait another 5 minutes.

I like Kristen too. She's good and calm so far.

ITA about Sonja and the Pussycat Interns as a spinoff attempt.

Heather said in her blog that Sonja texted her the day after her anniv party that she had to go to france for divorce settlement shit (lie) and that Ramona sent her flowers later and said she "had" to go to the Hamptons that weekend. Heather I think was alluding to the fact that shit was hitting the fan with Mario. Apparently it was around this time that the love rats girlfriend was getting preggers and the chatter was alive at the Hamptons of him stepping out. I bet Ramona was hightailing it out there, especially if she just returned from a trip without him.

I also don't think Carole's dress it that sexy since she doesn't have a boob job. Just looked like a sundress to me. No biggie.

Can you imagine putting up a calendar in your dorm room of your mother and dog? That puts a damper on things!

This cracked me up...from realitytea.com

Ramona is doing a negligee photoshoot with her dog so Avery can hang it on her dorm wall. Right – because everyone wants a calendar of their mother in over-the-hill lingerie. Holding a dog. With crazy-eyes. You know how they always say dogs resemble their master… Sonja comes over to also take photos of herself with her dog for Avery's dorm room? She yammers on about how she's now starting a men's and women's shirt collection. Meanwhile she lets her dog drink water out of Ramona's stemware.

BTW, none of us fell for Bravo's trick, right? They showed Sonja drinking from the same glass as her dog had lapped from, but it was clearly an earlier moment spliced in there … right.

Uh, Mario was definitely on the African safari. Ramona related her wham! bam! thank you, ma'am joke that Mario had responded to for Luann and Heather at the jewelry party. Maybe he missed his GF while he was in Africa and making up for lost time triggered Ramona to say "WHAT the hell are you doing?"

I never thought she was that awful to Luann because IMO Luann was posing too fiercely. But I know that nearly everyone disagrees with me, LOL

So I finished - why did Heather and then almost everyone have to go down to the beach when Avinuts and Carole were talking? Could they not deal with 5 minutes off camera? I was just starting to like Heather but she is in my face too often. This has nothing to do with how badly I feel about her child's problems. I feel awful and it made me tear up but that was enough of her.
