The stairs were freaking my husband out too! I can understand them though, it makes the space feel more open than a traditional staircase would or even putting a railing on the outboard side. Her other option would be a spiral staircase which are truly a pain in the ass if you are trying to move anything. I will be interested to see the results of her refresh. People over on TWoP are saying that Carole is trying too hard to be Carrie Bradshaw; carefree single gal with a writing career. I agree. I do not think she is actually 1/2 as madcap and free spirited as she would like us to think. It's a bit desperate. Speaking of desperate.... Sonja is tipping dangerously into Blanche DuBois territory. I am expecting any moment for her to say she has always relied on the kindness of strangers. Edited by dilbert2004, Apr 30 2014, 02:20 PM.

I was on Kristen's side right up until she made the crack about Ramona's age in her TH interview. I did think it was a hoot that Ramona called Sonja's boytoy's mother's friend. I totally believe she did it too. I don't know if that's why Sonja got stood up or not but honestly what was she doing with a 23 year old anyway? That was never going to be more than a few weeks. His mother is probably younger than Sonja. Carole not ever using her kitchen is totally so Carrie Bradshaw. Which is what I like about Carole. I also like that she and Heather have become real friends. |

No, I was just looking at the video she did on her f irst season, showing her apartment. It looked a lot less cluttered. ITs a small space. She says the previous owner had an attic up there, reached by a stepladder, safer I think. I find those stairs very dangerous. I could never walk down them. I think because she has 16 foot ceilings, she just carved a small space out of the top corner of the apartment. It just holds her desk and her clothes. It looked very tiny. The bedroom I guess is downstairs. She has those overly cute pillows, SLEEP on one side, FUCK on the other. New Yorkers, many don't do laundry. There are "Chinese" laundries on every corner, now mostly run by Koreans. You pay by the pound. Very few people in small apts have washer/dryers. My building has a laundry in the basement, but its almost cheaper, and far more convenient, to take stuff to the Korean place across the street. My basement laundry costs $2 per wash, $2 per dry for small machines, plus your own detergent and supplies. Carole's Crib Oh, David Burke's Townhouse, where Sonja was meeting her boytoy, was suspiciously empty. Only one other table, way in the back, was occupied. That restaurant is very popular, so I assume the scene was reenacted or scripted out of whole cloth. Edited by weaver, Apr 30 2014, 02:56 PM.

I think Carole could do a lucite banister. My sister does chinese laundry when her daughters come back from college $1 a pound. It still comes out to like $100 between all the towels, comforters etc. |

Oh I miss the Korean laundry. That's what we did in Alaska. I thought it was the greatest thing ever! How about Lulu's plastic, er, melamine plates at the design house, lol. Luann seems to be Ramona proof at this point and didn't even blink when Ramona chucked one into the pool. Ramona was completely rude in almost every scene so why do I (and Luann and Sonja) make excuses for her as 'just being Ramona.' |

We had to do that chinese laundry thing when we had to live in an apartment for a few months between houses. It was nice at first but then I got sick of having to drag all of my clothes there and back every week. I never thought I'd be so happy to get my own washer and dryer back and do my own laundry again. LOL |

I gotta tell you I have seen some crazy staircases here. I was afraid when dd was younger but now it's no biggie. I'm the one who falls up the stairs. I hate the ones that wind around and anyone can fall out of those as well. Icy you're funny about her drinking so much. She probably has a high tolerance. |

So what do you New Yorkers think Carole's apartment would go for? I'm assuming it's in a great location. After watching a few seasons of Million Dollar Listing NY I'm always amazed at how high the real estate is there. |

http://www.corcoran.com/nyc/Listings/Display/1986822 I think this might be her building, I know I looked her up once before, but I forget. Its her street, that I know and its a building like this one. Its not in the trendiest area of Soho, has no amenities like a doorman as far as I can tell, so I'm guessing hers would go for $1.5mil now that prices are going insane again. I missed all but the tail end of latest episode and my On Demand hasn't been working for a couple days. Hopefully, it'll work now and I can watch. Ramona sure seems to hate Kristen. I can't figure out if it's because she's young and pretty, she's the new lady on the block or if it's because of what was going on with Mario the dick. Probably a little of everything. With the weave pulling in Atlanta and Andy saying there is zero tolerance for getting physical, WTF is going to happen to Ramona for throwing her wine+glass at Kristen and cutting her face? It's time Moaner takes her own advice - Take a Xaaaannnnnaaaaxxxx!!! |

Maybe it was Ramona cutting Kristen that instituted the new policy and all the HWs knew it. And that is why Kenya was so quick to say, "She put her hands on me, she is gone." Ramona was grandfathered in because it wasn't a policy until she did it. |

Oh, right - Ramona's assault on Kristen would have happened before Porsha attacked Kenya. Sigh. That spa looked awesome. |

Yay! On Demand is working again. Sonja is soooo delusional. I don't know if it makes me sad or angry that a grown woman will not admit that she's in such deep shit. That wine tasting/lunch was hard to watch. She's spun so far out from reality, everyone there just had to shake their head and shut up. Even though old man Morgan has unlimited funds, I can't muster up any sympathy for her. She got a good settlement out of the old coot and blew through it like water on her scatterbrained ideas. Add that she got her townhouse free and clear and has let it go to the point it's at makes it even more maddening. I wonder if old man Morgan has been paying the property taxes on it? I'm thinking he has or it would have been sold at auction a long time ago. I can only imagine what the taxes are on that place. Insane, I'm sure. Did anyone watch Million Dollar Listing last night? The townhouse Ryan listed reminded me a lot of Sonja's. I know nothing about NYC real estate but is Sonja's house in Murray Hill? It sounded a lot like her neighborhood. |

No, Sonja's house is in a much tonier neighborhood, Upper East Side. Murray Hill is East 30's.....it is getting trendier, but isn't there yet. |
