Property taxes were much lower 10-15 years back or maybe even 8.. I can't remember the year they went up. They were so incredibly low actually when they bumped them up all the rich people complained and it was almost a joke. They went up bc of better schools and other things and bc they hadn't gone up in years. They aren't close to taxes in the ritzy suburbs like Scarsdale though - much lower.

I still like Sonja a lot. Sometimes me thinks she's playing a role and is acting. I don't think it's really just her but for the show. She appears to have a great life outside of taping this show traveling and the like. I can and can't believe she was stupid enough to do this movie deal but I am more angry at the attorney I assume she had that let her sign that contract. If she had set it up as a business vs. personal guarantee the business could have declared bankruptcy. I don't even know who lost money on this deal but Sonja. It just didn't happen - a promise - which many people make and it fell through. Something is very off and she was stupid.

Oh I completely forgot about Aviva saying the wine tasted like URINE! Oh my god. That wine guy was all "FUCK YOU lady. This is on TV. I am comping you all the wine and food for a little exposure and you say my wine tastes like fucking urine!" Notice how Luann came right in and started chowing down on the food! I think Luann lives well. She eats, exercises and drinks.

If her stuff isn't too pricey I would buy it for my MIL's vacation home. She LOVES melamine.

Ya know, fin...it is kinda cute. My sister's a marine biologist and I think she'd love some of it, too.

That townhouse needed serious overhauling. I would never purchase it because of the floors and the rickety elevator anyway. And I'm sure it is haunted. My friend on 18th street had a similar brownstone, five floors and all. It had a ghost. A teenage girl had died of flu back in the 1890s and reportedly never left. She saw it, her daughter saw it, her maid saw the skirt -- then they got cats and voila! no ghost.

I just can't take Aviva's voice....

At least Sonja never has to worry about finding parking.

I hope Carole's "refresh" includes the shrimp cocktail chandelier and the tiger print couch.

So what do you New Yorkers think Carole's apartment would go for? I'm assuming it's in a great location. After watching a few seasons of Million Dollar Listing NY I'm always amazed at how high the real estate is there.

I think this might be her building, I know I looked her up once before, but I forget. Its her street, that I know and its a building like this one. Its not in the trendiest area of Soho, has no amenities like a doorman as far as I can tell, so I'm guessing hers would go for $1.5mil now that prices are going insane again.
Thanks weaver! Wow. Nice building and nice space. Now, she just needs a good decorator.

While on the subject of apartments, does anyone else think Aviva's bright yellow wallpaper is hideous? I was shocked to hear Nate Berkus on WWHL say he thought it was great.

OMG, I forgot about that too. Lulu looked like she wanted to die. For all of her fancy education, Aviva has some crude manners. Telling Kristen to STFU among all the little kids at the craft shop or whatever they were doing and then saying the wine tasted like urine right in front of the wine shop guy. I'm thinking she never went to Cotillion. :P

Aviva is the type who goes right for the jugular as soon as she's challenged even a little bit. It's pretty OTT. Although that doesn't explain why she'd tell the wine guy, on TV no less, that his wine tastes like urine. That's just rude. It's easy enough to be polite and say "It's a little tart for me, I like the sweeter wines myself."

Yeah, I'd love her space, except for the "attic." And although it isn't in the trendy area of Soho, its very near all transportation and a 5 or 10 minute walk at most to the trendy areas.

Especially since she started out telling them that she liked the wine.

Yes, yes she did. When she made her about face regarding the wine I did a Scooby Doo Ruh ro! because I thought here we go again, Aviva being the syncophant. That never ends well.

I'm sorry but this is why I loathe ratface. It's the fucking height of summer and she's wearing a suede skort and boots in an effort to be hip and trendy. gurl bye...or maybe I'll use funk box as my new saying...nah, doesn't have the same ring. Gonna need NeNe to work on that one a bit before I can adopt it. LOL

I missed a couple of minutes, but I saw up until the very end - Ramona ADMITTED deliberately whipping that glass at Kristen. She tossed the wine, then tossed the glass, then started trying to toss the oar.

I hope she's gotten STDs from Mario.
