The episode was a bit slow for me. I find Heather to be a bit obnoxious but, I don't hate her, yet. Aviva's ok (cracking up over peg-leg) and Carol seems to be a decent person. She and Aerosmith man driving around and listening to HIS music was just too corny for me. She and Aviva are just 5 pounds away from scary skinny. I think Ramona did call Luann, but was bombed and doesn't remember it or, is taking the deny, deny deny route. The tweet about Luann's daughter last summer proves she's out to discredit Luann, her parenting and her children. Ramona's a crazy, mean spirited drunk. I really like Jacques, Luann's lucky to have him. Sonia's just one big bag of sad. Simon's nipples got him fired. |

That was a smart move at the time, IMO, to have those pictures taken in a hotel room at the Chandler, because they didn't know the photographer, so his place would not be a good idea, their place neither ... a neutral place where your husband runs the show? Perfect, IMO. And they were supposedly "artistic" -- and I'm a photographer and artist, so I'm not disparaging any one else's idea of art. They were not pornographic, I never saw a single "spread eagle" shot (didn't look much more than glance, but IIRC no one said there were any and Alex said pointedly there weren't), so what's the American fuss? After all, Kelly did nudity, too -- but "tasteful Playboy" according to Jill Zarin. Need I say more? Those photographs were used by Jill Z, who loudly maligned and misdirected whenever she could, (claiming they were shot in the lobby and Alex was spread eagle) bullying Silex in exactly the same way she claimed they were bullying her. Andy-way, per this season --the more I think about that drive around the city listening to Mr. Aerosmith's solo album, the more it sounds like a commercial for him. And not very romantic to have a camera hooked to the back seat or side of the car. Night time served the purpose of spoiling any reflections we might have seen in building windows of the whole odd-looking vehicle. I'll bet the editors had to cut around a few people gawking. Even NYers spare a glance for film crews. |

Nice catch Icy. I would have never thought of how they would hide the camera or why they filmed it at night. I was just thinking NYC looks more exciting/romantic at night. And while the camera in/on the car might not have been romantic I thought the driving around NYC at night with the top down, listening to music inspired by you, with a real rocker who wrote it seemed pretty damn sexy to me. But then just about anything would be sexier than me sitting in bed with a glass of wine, zit and wrinkle cream on, watching the ho-wives. :$ |

IMO, The pictures were awful, Icy. And I still don't get the point of taking them. Having nude pictures taken of your wife at your work seems like a terrible idea. I guess one of these may be the "spread eagle" one. Oh Alex IIRC, Alex also said there were none showing here twat...which was untrue. Edited by andme, Jun 13 2012, 07:58 AM.

Alex's take on this week's RHofNY Explains why Sonja was so OTT in her scene with the contractor. Alex is very articulate. Seems to speak extemporaneously without any "ya know," or "I mean." She'd be a pretty good correspondent on a talk show. |

Thanks Weaver! I agree, Alex is articulate and has a good point of view. Too bad she's still spending time talking about these HWs, though. She was let go from the cast - time to move on, I think. I guess she's earning a little bit from this gig. Is Aluxe not paying the bills? Back to Sonja - I think it's worse that she was so OTT because she was trying to get her antics on screen/ bills paid. |

Yeah, I don't judge anyone for doing nudity- whatever floats your boat- but she did totally lie about "south florida' and I just think if she was going to do nudes- she could've looked much prettier :) eta: that link- is the one I had seen- but I had never seen the one where she's on the stairs in the dress- that one is very pretty. The one where her hands are above her head and she's smiling and her legs are spread...i just cringe. But hopefully alex and simon still love them and are glad they did them. They did sign photo releases- not that it matters- but they said they didn't- and the photog got pissed and printed the releases- and then they had to back track. I don't have much use usually for Alex, but that was a very insightful report she gave. And she looked better than ever.....relatively speaking. It really drove home for me the truth that the HOs see this as a job, there are expectations of bringing drama, they know how to manipulate a scene to their advantage, and they can work the system to their benefit re:product placements such as Sonja with the contractor. Not that I ever thought there was much reality in any reality show, the pulling back of the curtain as Alex does in her clips, while interesting, kinda takes away some of the enjoyment of watching, for me at least. Now instead of just letting the nonsense waft over me as I view I will be looking for all these things. And as an aside: why must it always be drama? Why does the cast have to bring drama? How about some comedy instead? That was what was fun about the first season with Jill and Bethenny or Kim and Nene on Atlanta; they were fun and funny together and it was fun for the viewer. I got enough drama in my real life. I could use some more comic relief. |

I think Aluxe is not taking up a whole lot of time. Their tweets rarely mention it. I do feel a bit sorry for them that they are reduced to commenting on RH, but I guess you gotta pay the mortgage. Alex pretty much admits as much here, that they ain't got nothing other than ALuxe and the Sulia gig. Alex McCord starts over Edited by weaver, Jun 13 2012, 03:30 PM.

Dil, I suspect she and Bravo mean "drama" in the sense of "heightened situations" -- not angst, so much as stress. Like "Drama Club" meaning theater classes, not unhappy teens. I liked her review -- the 5 minutes went by very quickly. Andme, forgive me, I cannot follow that link. Some things I'd be happier just not seeing. However, one point: those are not photographs that Simon and Alex ASKED FOR or PAID FOR ... she was just the model. How she looked, how the photographer posed her (with her permission), was his art -- his responsibility. They weren't glamour shots for her and Simon's memory books. |

I saw the youtube thing as well. She did look good but I still can't stand her. I think spoke a little too quickly but she did verify what I thought all the time. As Dilbert said it's a little sad and it takes away any surprise. You know they are doing these things for the camera and it's not real. Guess she liked Aviva's catch about lying on camera. I thought it was gross and more calculating but as we all know it's needed for the drama that Bravo desires. |

Alex could have used a little help from weaver's beavers in that photo shoot. |

LOL! For sure... nothing was left to the imagination in the ones I saw. She is definitely one who needs to "keep it natural" there. |

What kills me is they still have that bordello decor in their house. Alex does look good. I'll give her that. Honestly I think I miss weird Simon more then I miss her. Now we know why Sonja has all of her contractor consultations on air. For the free services. Edited by Shoppergal, Jun 13 2012, 07:31 PM.

I don't think I like Carole. She doesn't seem in touch at all to me, I can't put my finger on it. Bad underbite. Seems to very very self aware of her fabulously and what she is entitled to. Just a gut. |
