Meanwhile. Ramona just tweeted that she is bringing turtle time to Sin Barths. Just like Silex, I think she must like it in the off season when those pesky crowds aren't there. |

I get a kick out of Carole's clothes. Her whole Carrie Bradshaw routine amuses me, and maybe because she's short, I think she pulls off the unique quirky clothing. I didn't notice the "mom jeans" though! I'll have to watch it again I guess. I do think that trying to actually ride horses with your ass hanging out of today's jeans would be stupid. Speaking of that, as a child of the 60's I grew up with very low jeans, in the front they barely covered my bikini panties, but the BACK was slightly higher. No ass crack showing, and the damn things stayed up easily. They were much more comfortable and easy to wear. Also, while I'm bitching about today's jeans, I seriously hate the very low back pockets that usually hang at least partly below your butt. So unflattering. /bitch Something made me google. Mom jeans coming back? (Actually high waisted jeans) THEY'RE BACK~ http://www.buzzfeed.com/sapna/high-waisted-jeans-declared-biggest-trend-for-spring http://www.today.com/parents/mom-jeans-are-back-will-your-daughter-let-you-wear-2D12117634 |

I agree but July 4 is way bigger. Labor Day is not great. Wonder if the horse show was that weekend. Sometimes it falls the same time. Oh - I don't believe Aviva at all. She is a famewhore to the end. She set it up- well I think so. Heather is annoying me to as well. I think she is trying to outdo Carole being Carole. Does anyone understand what I'm saying? Can't stand it. I also think that everyone is playing a part like in a play. Ramona is acting just like she was in the Berkshires. Same people mentioning Aviva first. On and on...... Guess nobody was allowed to tweet a picture of the wheelchair with A's name on it. I also am led to assume that nobody in Montana watches the HO wives bc someone would have tweeted about that had they been like us! Spoiler. Actually did any of the sites mention wc when it was filmed? I also am with Ramona - I'd be drinking too the same way. Kristen still annoying me and looks like a moron in those shoes. First off she did it on purpose so it made it worse. Her publicist probably told her to wear pumps to get more air time - guess what it works and she earned her pay. Ick still don't like her. I also need to start watching with you guys since I'm always a day late and a million short. Edited by cccharley, Jun 19 2014, 08:42 PM.

Oh one more thing - Luann is really fighting for her spot as a full time Ho back or else she is. Or else Andy is sticking it to her and using all her footage for a lot less money. |

LOL I was at the mall today and noticed a teenage girl wearing a pair of high waisted denim shorts. I hope those things don't come back. I don't want to have to squish my Pinot belly into those things. It's much comfier to just let it flop over my waistband. |

Keep forgetting to say -- that art night at Aviva's, one of the pieces was of two men walking through snow -- a B&W photograph. That photographer is one I know (not personally) because he was a top submitter to a stock site that was the hot place to be for just under a year and I had photos listed there. Landon Nordeman. He's not suffering, in fact, does very well, so I suspect he was a friend of the guy who picked the art for Aviva or a friend of someone at Bravo. http://www.foleygallery.com/exhibitions/focus/the_exhibition_lab_exhibition/images/8 -- the photo shown framed in Aviva's apartment Landon's site: http://www.landonnordeman.com/#/portfolio |

My daughter had been scouring thrift shops for the last 2/3 years for high waisted mom jeans. She depleted my stash first. They cut them off right below their butts and then shred them or studded them/bleach or dye or put daisy appliqués on them. It's very hipster chic. She ombre dyes some of them. She's over it now. So I wonder if it is beginning to go out of style. Or if my daughter is just getting lazy. |

I remember when they came into style the first time. My college roommate was very trendy, and she'd been shopping that day. We were going to a party that night, honestly, I think I was wearing hip hugger (now called "low rise") and teeny tiny lavender hot pants (what are they called now? Ha!) It was summer, we were very tan, I had nice legs shuddup. Anyway, she came out in these super high waisted lemon yellow trousers, tight at the waist/hips and then wide legged at the bottom, and an adorable little bright colored stretchy sleeveless wrap top that crossed over the boobs and tied at the side waist. It may have been Kelly Green. I have a photo, I should find it. I was so shocked. "WHAT are you wearing?" I really hated them. Anyway, as the evening went on, she kept looking better and better in those trousers, and they grew on me. They gave her a more defined waist, and actually looked completely adorable, and she was only about 5'1". I think everyone at the party reacted the same way. At first shock, but as time went on more and more women looked again and you could hear them going hmmmmmmmm. By the next party a month later, it was kind of an ongoing thing, usually about 400 people, probably 1/4th of the women were in high waisted pants. I finally caved in about 8 months later and bought a few pair. Within a year, that's all anyone wore, but it took a while for people to switch. Then the 80's hit, remember the Calvin Klein ads with Brooke Shields? "Nothing comes between me and my Calvins."? I tried on a pair, and those jeans were made for me, they fit me so completely perfectly, brought out every single good feature I had, the tiny waist, flat stomach, rather longish legs for my height. They were my particular perfect jeans. Posted Image |

The Mom Jean look is no good on me- it makes my C-section pooch into a little ball :( But those Calvins were SO great on me, too! |

He lowered the waist a bit in subsequent years. I still own a few pair from a little over a decade ago, with a very slight stretch. I wish I could fit into them, I was tinier then! It was weird though, no matter when he put them out, they always seemed to fit me perfectly. I so miss having a small waist! |
