What I realized later is that the whole season we saw no trouble between Mario and Ramona. So why would it be a topic for a reunion ABOUT the show? I mean, if the editors left it out, why is Andy bringing it back in, insisting on it because she's on a reality show. There's a ton of stuff about all of them that is not on the show and we never know about it. WHY wasn't it on the show? Because it fell out and is falling out after filming. If Bravo had gotten off its ass and aired the show months ago, as they could have, Ramona would be midst the fallout. Actually, she still is in the middle of it, but the worst of the drama has passed and now it's just clean-up, when Ramona is least likely to talk about it. If she was mid-divorce talks, maybe she would have had looser lips. ETA: about Edie and her mother -- as with the show Hoarders, we now a lot of people live with crap -- even dead bodies -- in their houses. It's not funny, it's not a punch line, it's also not time to write them off. I find Luann tossing "they were mentally ill" as if she has that right, to be rude. I guess I said that, but I stand by it. E & E were not that unusual, they were just revealed in a way that I found took advantage of their innocence. They didn't know they were being mocked. I hate that documentary. I'm not fond of the movie, either, except that Drew Barrymore acts the shit out of that script. Edited by IcyAll, Jul 30 2014, 03:18 PM.

ITA, weaver They talk about plenty of things at the reunion that weren't on the show. And I am loving seeing Ramona get a taste of her own medicine. Lu is rocking the reunion. Do you think Carole wore butt pads for the reunion? That didn't look like the same butt that we saw when she wore a bikini. I wouldn't mind if they kept the same cast for next year - minus Aviva. And adding Lu. Aviva is so boring. I don't care about her asthma, her leg, her leacherous father, or his fake fiancée. Edited by andme, Jul 30 2014, 07:16 PM.

http://www.wmagazine.com/fashion/2009/04/sally-quinn/ They were mentally ill, that was beyond "hoarding."
Interesting here, the restoration, with some before pictures including piles of cat shit. http://cotedetexas.blogspot.com/2011/06/grey-gardens-update.html They weren't "hoarders" so much, not much there really, they were unbelievably filthy, and inspectors gagged at the smells, animal feces everywhere, and animal urine soaked floors, piles of garbage, deal animals ugh.Posted Image Posted Image http://komma-hem.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html Edited by Mariah, Jul 30 2014, 09:33 PM.

I just watched. I really loved Carole's dress. 2 years ago it would have fit me like a glove. Nobody else's thrilled me. I would like to see what Sonja's looked like standing up. Aviva is so boring and her hair looked liked s h i t! Why didn't she get it done. God Ramona should have told her to have a blow out. Nothing else really thrilled me. Let's see what happens next week. Icy - ita agree with you about Kristen. She is a bore and honestly fits her intro. Ick. Can't believe I liked her in the beginning - well -about 2 episodes in. |

Sorry, Mariah, was that a doctor who was quoted? Again, it's rude of Luann to use them as an example; it was nice of Sonja to say what she did. There but for the grace of God and all. They sold that property for $220,000 - it was worth a lot more, but sold it to the first person who saw the beauty they saw (Little Edie, because mama was dead). She says there was great furniture and treasures in the attic. I don't know about the cat pee issue, because if cats can go outdoors they will, in my experience. Raccoons … well, that's another thing. Once they move in, get access (ask Joe Gorga!) it's hard to get them out (ask ME about skunks). And they do DIE where they live. I'm not saying it looks good -- how can people live like that? But people all over the world live in worse circumstances. It's what you learn to expect and live with … does that make you mentally ill? I assume Edie was damaged, it's heart-breaking. I would still not laughing say "they were mentally ill!" … I just find that unacceptable. Now Kelly? She practically (though not really) attacked them all in St. Bart's. We don't know the whole story, but I take the dig, because I've called her crazy and I think she's crazy -- but I wouldn't say it to her face or throw it at her on national TV, as many of them have … Which reminds me -- anyone notice how quiet Carole gets when Heather and Kristin are on attack mode? |

I think Luann was laughing at Sonja, not the Edie's. There was cat pee soaked into the floors, when the local townspeople came to the house (the committees) they couldn't even stay inside the smell was so bad. I remember a crew was hired with shovels and hazmat gear just to get the masses of cat and raccoon poop out. I remember something about several dump trucks for that, and the empty cat food cans left in huge piles everywhere. Many of the cats were diseased, and dead cats were found buried in the rubble. After they left, the piles began again. I feel sorry for both the Edie's as well, but especially Little Edie, because her mother ruined her life. That said, Sonja's delusions, and "singing" and "dancing" and "performing" while living in a crumbling house with no hot water really did remind me of the Edies, both the documentary, and the movie. She's getting far too close to living in her glory days and ignoring the reality of her situation. Also, it was fans who made the comparison, and I may have been one of the first, Luann just responded to Sonja calling it a complement. Edited by Mariah, Jul 31 2014, 05:44 AM.

Here they are standing up. Someone wanted to see the dresses that way. ;) Posted Image Kristin's is much better standing. I hate that she got boobs for her anniversary. HATE IT. I like Carole's dress the most. ETA, I found this picture at Sucks, and someone pointed out that Ramona posted it, probably photochopping Luann out. :P Edited by Mariah, Jul 31 2014, 07:00 PM.

It was me who wanted to see them standing. ita - love c's. Do not like Ramona's or K's at all. K's doesn't fit her at all. On the fence about Heather's - I think I like it but not on her. Sonja's looks better standing - that's why I wanted to see it- still don't love it. Don't like viv's cut but I like the color. It needs a v neck or something and her hair still looks like crap |

Luann, in her blog, said she designed her own dress. Now I want to see that one in full length. LOL at Ramona cutting her out of the photo. |

Oh I forgot about Lulu's - if she would stop that shoulder thing it would have been great. It looked like a gorgeous material. Just sick of seeing her in the same style. It's a snore |

Maybe because LuLu was just a friend of HO's this year she didn't make the pic. Many people offered Edie more for the house but she accepted Bradlee and Quinn (always DESPISED Sally Quinn) because they said they'd restore it and keep the furniture. And apparently they did. Bradlee I believe has Alzheimer's now. |

Yes, they got the house because she complimented it when she walked in. Smart. Why do you despise her? I don't know who she is. |

There are stories re: Ben Bradlees kids from a previous marriage that don't portray Sally nicely. |
