How is it that Teresa has seemingly good products? She must have someone very smart advising her. Look at poor Cow and her acne cream. |

It is surprising, isn't it, that Tre is the most successful of this group. I do think it all has to do with her advisers. Hopefully she knows that her team is worth their weight in gold. I also think that the bunch of jackals she has to put up with increases the audience's desire to see her succeed and probably motivates them a bit more to buy her products. |

I agree. I think that these are deals and products that have very little to do Tre except her lending her name/image and being willing to promote them. By being the standout "star" of this crapfest vendors and publishers were drawn to her. She lucked out - but then it appears she is willing to take advice and do the promotional work so that's puts her ahead of Clownie and Jaxass right away. Kathy probably has great desserts but she was 1) late to the party and 2) doesn't stand out whatsoever on this show. I think her sister Rosie is more recognizable/popular than Kathy herself. And of course Melissa isn't going to be the "new pop singing sensation" from her basement as long as she's willing to skip so many steps - like learning to sing. |

Reminds me - I disagree with Tree about the "no one will buy a book just for desserts" idea -- I think that is exactly how people buy cookbooks: for a specific taste. Hers are selling based on "authentic Italian" and Kathy's could sell to people who want a book for dessert ideas. There are a lot of desserts only cookbooks. So Tree's just stupid on that one. Now, whether Kathy has the fame to sell a book at all, is another question. Anyone remember that kid who used to call in all the time to WWHL, some 13-year old from the Upper West Side? That kid who stopped at Tree's table to say "we're making one of your recipes tonight" and got on the show struck me as that kind of kid. Obviously that mother signed a waiver so her kids could be shown on the show and I had the feeling watching it, that somewhere in a town on America's East Coast, a mini-party was being thrown in their house with lots of "goal!" poses. So what I want to know: Finestra, did they ask you to sign a waiver? Were there cameras filming the signing? I don't even know if they're filming the next season ... the production crew is probably on hazard pay enjoying downtime after being in the combat zone for season four footage. Don't we have a wedding renewal coming up? Anyone think it'll be the season finale? .... I'm just full of useless questions today! |

Ben fucking Weiner. UGH. Andy and his stupid "character" calling in to the show. Reminds me of this a.m. radio show here and they create characters out of nothing and they're not even good or funny. |

Yeah, that's it! Wow, he dropped off the planet. His parents must have realized what was cute in a young boy, is not so cute in a teenager. |

LOL, but Ben Weiner seemed like a stroke of comedic genius compared to Tramona. |

Programming update - new episode tonight. I for one and *thrilled* that Bravo hasn't shuttled Howives for olympics tennis...though I'm still perplexed at why the 'coming up' for NYC said 'this season' vs. 'next week' Oh well wanted to post here lest anyone else confused like I was. Per my DVR guide - a hurricane is a-coming to Franklin Lakes. I think the boys all take refuge under Clown Jr's chins. |

Yes, new WWHL after the episode. Since Tree is the guest, I'm guessing she comes off well in this episode. Then next week she'll look like shit, following the code which is "never have a guest on WWHL after they look bad on the show" ... If only they'd reverse it and have had Tree last week and Clownie this week ... we could have asked Tree about the book signing and harping about Melissa singing acapella. Of course, the producers vet the phone calls and only let those through that they approve ... double protection. As someone who doesn't watch the Olympics and who doesn't go to the Hamptons during August (or ever), I want new TV episodes throughout August, damn it! |

I am going to watch this on rerun over and over and over. This is the funniest fucking show they have ever shown. I'm LOL at the little cartoon heads in the vans driving from NJ to Pittsburgh, then flying to CA. |

Velvet - Olympics has pre-empted. Probably gonna catch it after WWHL. Why would they drive from NJ to PGH? What did PGH ever do to deserve that? |
