Cosmo I think the meatball competition was the on-air even that Tree and Clown were at, which prompted the "Olive Garden" remark. It was a joke based on a TV appearance they had just done.

Rachael Ray had them on. They had a cook off, I take it that Teresa won. Another nail in her coffin.

I don't watch Rachel Ray, but I remember the kerfuffle. IIRC one of them baked her meatballs and one of them fried the meatballs. Then the audience voted and the fried meatballs won. And that is what it is all about. Blown out of proportion much?

Thanks guys! Oh yes, I'd forgotten all about that. Geeze. Even the husbands remembered that one - must have been a big deal.

Good grief. These people wouldn't know what to do with a real problem.

Ah so much good snark ladies....sigh..

But first (channeling Chenbot) I realized something today at work - I'm way too invested in these people. I found a gal at work who watches, allbeit not all the time. So she happened to catch last night's episode. Talking to her was eye opening. She loves Caroline and can't believe that Tre sells stories yadda yadda yadda. Mind you she's a casual watcher. I had to stop myself from trying to explain the whole thing to her - i did bring up PC and how that's what I believe the Clown is salty over. Oh and I really struggled to refer to people by proper names. I started saying "I can't believe The Clow...er Caroline"

Now moving on - Was it Ritchy who pulled up the shit on his phone w/ the dudes? Funny how both he and Kathy have Tre's google searches on speed dial. And wordy McWord to the Manzo's dropping them like hot potatoes. How quickly they forget how Big Al and the Clown were laughing about them starting a restaurant last season. I think those two irritate me the most.

Re Meatball gate - the kicker is I thought Clown won it - the shit hit the fan when Tre joked that frying meatballs wasn't real Italian, hence the Olive Garden and 1/16th Italian comments. Did I imagine that?

I'm gonna say that Jax wasn't offered 50K - they are in need of money and can't see her turning that down and besides the questionable autisim story she AND Tre were paid for the joint cover so why is he trying to claim they are taking the high road.

Shopper - you know those fools have Teresa on google alert. It's not as though they have anything else to do with their lives.

I do not understand how they figure being part of a famewhore ho-wife show where you air all your dirty laundry and act like middle school meanies is the high road but selling a story to the tabs is not. To me, it's all the same shit and they all make way too much money doing it.

On rewatch last night I was trying to figure out what Vito was building at the table in the background. At first I thought it had to be a meat and cheese sandwich [probably for Lauren] but then it looked like he was taking rose petals from the table arrangment and making some sort of craft from them. Weird.

Cosmo - maybe he was building a "help me" signal...or perhaps a trinket for 2.0...but you know he'll give it to her and she'll bitch that it's not as good as kitchen sink cheese and then bemoan the fact that she's fat.

If Clownie only needs her fambily, then why be concerned about anything in any magazine? Who reads those anyway? I doubt her priest. I doubt her girlfriends (does she have any?) would believe it ... it's all a lie. And since she cares so much that Tree lies to her face (she says), then why doesn't she think we should care that she's lying to us? She's lied from the first season -- all that "there's things the audience doesn't know. Things I can't tell because I love my sister and she doesn't want me to tell" ... bullshit! HYPOCRITE. I hate them most.

Lol Shopper. I laughed a good five minutes at this.

If anyone does rewatch this episode notice the guys in the background. Greg is just sitting there in a bathrobe - I don't even think he had a drink in his hand. Albie has a sportscoat on and looks nervous all the time. Fat Al was wishing he had stayed home and then of course "sleeping" to throw the Joes off track for when he decided to "destroy" them. I'm sorry I'll never get tired of Clownie saying that her husband would destroy Juicy.

Icy, those are great points. I don't think these morons even listen to half the things they say. Tre sure doesn't - as evidenced by the way she contradicts herself all the time.

Did anyone catch the Clownie bumper ad where she "welcomes" the new NYC ho-wives to the franchises and "gives them advice?" Ugh. and Lame. Oh, she's looks like she her makeup done by drag queen. Or maybe Lauren did it. Anyone that makeup would like a rock star on a young woman. On someone Clownie's age it looked like a drag queen.

Between Caroline saying Fat Al would destroy Joe, Fat Al saying if a certain line gets crossed HE will step in and Lauren saying that she controlled herself because she didn't want to upset Daddy cut to the shot of Fat Al out cold catching flies, I don't know which one was funnier.

Then the image of Joe Giu in his robe, all gentlemanly like, telling Tre, lets go, some urgent business has arisen and we have to leave, as if they were exiting a classy party!! It was so opposite his usual "Tre!! Shad Up and lets go!! I love him and Tre.

Clownie sitting there fuming while Clonie gives commentary, which you could see the Clown had no interest in, was hysterical.

The only thing that topped that was Kathy frantically trying to ride the fence afraid she'll be left out in the cold on both sides.

I forgot about that - hysterical. I will say that Juicy needs to slow down the drinking. He appears to be slowly moving into the functioning drunk category. Hopefully that's just b/c of the stress of the show - but he was drunk when cooking for the girls earlier this season. I fear they are going to start to experience that "daddy's always drunk" business.

Or how about when the Giudices and Gorgas were exiting the house and JoeGiu kept saying "I love your brudder," and Missy's response is "he's drunk!"

Yep - drunk seems to be the norm for Juicy and he's able to function which concerns me, for the girls sake.
